Pizza Hut was one of my favorite restaurants to visit as a kid in the 90s. There was just something…read moreabout those iconic chandeliers, red cups, crushed pepper shaker on each table, arcade game in the lobby, and getting a personal pan pizza for the Book It! program. We even had to wait for a table to open up on a few occasions, that's how popular they sometimes were on a busy night. Ahhhh, nostalgia. But, no longer. Not only do I never wait in line since they're always dead, I rarely get to go because so many locations have closed over the years. This one on Route 8 has been here as long as I can remember, and although it's not the closest pizza place to home, a special brought me back in. Most pizza places have a thin enough slice that you can fold it NY style, but never Pizza Hut. And now that the Detroit style was back, I thought I'd try it again just for a little variety. It still tastes like the Hut you know, but with the little cup pepperonis (my favorite) and the sauce on top of the cheese (I know, blasphemy). Definitely not for everyone, and I still think the classic pan is best. And I still get flack for saying I like the Hut. Even though it's no longer in its heyday, the the kid in me can't help but return every so often.

I thought every sandwich shop was pretty much just the same until i went to penn-station subs. Most…read moresandwich shops have an overbearing amount of bread and lettuce and go light on the meat. This is unlike penn-stations subs as it is just the right blend. You can make your sandwiches loaded to cartoon scooby doo proportions and it taste just as good as you would imagine. The toppings taste fresh and the fries are good, but i recommend putting the fries in the sub. Its does not have a crazy amount of oils and it's not over encumbering with mayonnaise like Bob's subs or Rudy's. It is quick with its service It took less 15 minutes to get 3 footlong subs and 4 sides. The layout is convenient as you order and pay in different spots which helps the flow of people in the building. An it's small and neat and nothings out of the reach. The extra condiment section goes above and beyond as they even have lemons, pepper, and 2 malt vinegars. Which blown me away... what is my only gripe is the fountain drinks there was 3-4 standard choices like your doctor pepper, sierra mist, and mountain dew. everything else was a diet version or water.which was a ploy for you to buy there speciality lemonade which mind you is business and a nitpick. I honestly love tearing apart places but i don't have any issues that really need addressed. It's sort of cheap, fast, and cozy. This restaurant is definitely in the rotation and receives a 9/10 and gets a badass olive on top

Terrible customer service, would not make half the sandwich without mushrooms without charging us…read morefor 2 sandwiches.
