I had a 6 inch sub, around that size. Roast beef, extra cheese. The bun was really soft. There was quite a bit of roast beef on it too. And it was pretty tasty. But I had sticker shock from the price. I paid over $15 For the sub! $15? I expect a full-size sub for that price! I just think they're way overpriced. I was in the Verizon & UPS stores right next door, and decided to stop in to Firehouse Subs! and so glad I did!! I have never visited one and immediately LOVED the firefighter atmosphere from the pictures to the hats and hoses. Very cool. I ordered a meatball on wheat to go. It was delivered very quickly by friendly employees. I opened the container and the smell was just wonderful. Terrible first time service on Mar 28 2024 in Cranberry Twp, PA. Whiny, yelling girl voice who wouldn't identify herself talking so fast I couldn't understand her. When I asked what she said and that I wanted to order, she said no calls after 8pm and hung up on me. I called back and asked for the manager and she said it was her. Wow, that's the manager. I asked for her boss and she only gave me a first name and said he won't be in till Monday and started complaining by yelling at me saying they are understaffed and I am rude for calling back so I ended the call. I will never call there again. So disappointing that a person is so rude and esclated all the time in their life that it is present the second she picks up the phone, blaming me for her life. read more

I'm going to piggyback off of another recent reviewer from 16 days ago and say that the soap dispenser issue has not been resolved at all. In fact, despite having signs up that employees must wash hands before returning to work, there is no soap dispenser at all now! Nothing! I had to do a double take but there is literally no soap in any way shape or form in the men's restroom. There is a hand sanitizer outside the restroom. The four guys working behind the counter did not seem to be concerned by this either. They just joked and goofed around with each other carrying on with their friends who were in the store. As my order was taken the cashier never looked up, never offered anything or asked any questions at all. He just said, "uh-huh...uh-huh...uh-huh..." while punching buttons until I was done then went back to screwing around. I ended up taking my order home because I couldn't wash my hands. I honestly should have just walked away. The sauces were still almost empty and quite honestly a mess. The holder was not stocked and the bottles were sticky and disgusting. I also noted that a number of these bottles say "refrigerate after opening"...nope, just sitting out in the open for anyone to grab having not washed their hands. So all of this was brought to their attention 16 days ago now and nothing has been done. Just for reference, my receipt was on 08/18/19 at 4:58:25 PM Order #344659 You would think that two weeks would be enough time to address these concerns. I cannot recommend this location. In this day and age of tracking, instant reviews and companies being under a microscope, I would surely be making some serious changes at this store and be embarrassed to have my name attached to it. I can't say enough good things about firehouse subs! No matter what, I always have to get the italian sub. It's the best. The meat to cheese to condiment ratio is always spot on. They have also recently started offering a gluten free roll that is delicious (and I love gluten). I'm a little ashamed I can't speak on any more of the sub choices, but I'm also too happy with the italian to veer from it. read more

Tried Firehouse for the first time yesterday. Restaurant looked clean. They had a ton of sauces to choose from in a condiment area that were rated 1-10 according to hotness. Ordered a large cold Italian & a large cheesesteak to go. They both tasted fine, but not outstanding by any means. I felt that for larges they should have been loaded with a bit more meat & lettuce, tomatoes & onion. Bread was fresh, but not super soft. No real complaints, but I'll stick with Jersey Mike's up the road. read more

Stopped in when I saw it was next to the UPS Store and I was starving. Ordered a "make your own" sub with chicken. Took a couple bites and felt like it had a weird taste - was supposed to have just veggies, chicken, and honey mustard. When I showed my fiancé how the chicken looked "weird" it occurred to me that it looked weird because it had a hardened layer of cheese melted on it. And well, I'm allergic to dairy. So now I'm sick and it wasn't even good cheese. It was trash cheese on a trash sub made by kids who don't know or care how to follow an order. read more

I stopped by today for lunch. There wasn't any line, but there were a lot of people dining in. I went with the Turkey bacon ranch sub on wheat. I went with the combo of a medium (it seemed like an x-large) and chips. I was also asked if I wanted pickle on the side and I agreed. I requested my order to go and waited. Fast forward: the sandwich was really good. They did not slack on the meat at all. My meal was about $9.50 ish + tax. I personally felt that was high at first but after seeing the huge amount of turkey on it, it seemed fine. While the sub was good, the wait time seemed pretty long. Lots of people were sitting down waiting for their sandwich and obviously I had to wait my turn, but I felt that they didn't really desire to be fast. Good subs and the place was cute. Next time ill def order online and pick it up to avoid the wait. read more

Second visit. Not any better than the first. Young Lady who waited on me was impatient as I looked at the turnaround sign that listed ingredients. She finally said, "just tell me what you don't want". The sub came warm (in Pa?) and moist(wet really) through and through . The bread was very soft and not like any sub roll I had experienced before. I had ordered provolone but there was none on the finished product. Huge pieces of onion fell out as you tried to eat it. I asked for salt, pepper and oregano but none showed up. All in all it was very disappointing. I will not be back for a third try. read more

I love subs. So when someone told me that Firehouse has the best subs I had to check it out. I was not disappointed. The subs were very tasty and were made hot and fast. They also had one of those crazy Coke machines that makes some crazy flavors. I got the "Engineer" sub, and was pleased with everything from top to bottom. I did have a slight problem with the ordering process and what exactly they were asking me. If I was a regular this wouldn't be a problem but for the first time visitor you may have to pause for a minute or ask for clarification. Food was good, price was fair, service was friendly, and the whole place was very clean. Firehouse is definitely on my list of places to stop by again. read more

Pretty tasty stuff and a cool place. I had the 8" Italian which was warm enough to really bring out the flavors, but not so hot that it hid the flavors behind burning your mouth. I thought that actually said a lot about the place in that they got it just right. I mean, after all, isn't an Italian Sub just like every other Italian sub? It's what you do to it that makes it good. These guys do pretty well with it. Portions sizes are a plus. I was full, not hungry, not stuffed. It was a good feeling. They also have great sized drinks for about what you pay for the smaller drinks at other places. I liked that. The place was clean and service was pretty friendly. Some notes: -This place was founded by firemen from Jacksonville (I think) and you can really tell by the decor (lol). They have a number of ways to support firemen through their restaurant which I thought was pretty neat. You can round up your bill and give the change to the local firehall, they sell their old pickle buckets for a few bucks, and there are a few other things. Pretty neat. -They have one of those Coca-Cola "Freestyle" machines that have 150 or so flavors of pop. I love those. They even integrated their own Cherry Limeaid into the machine. -They have a hot sauce bar. YES, a HOT SAUCE BAR. All kinds of hot sauce available to you to put on your sub. They even have numbers on the bottle for you to be able to judge how hot each sauce is. This was cool. They have so many sauces too, from the basics like Tabasco to "off the wall" stuff like Al Gore's Invented Hot Sauce. Not bad for a new business in the area. This is definitely worth coming to over Subway any day of the week. The Italian sub was better than I expected and the pickle on the side was surprisingly delicious. The employees were hit or miss. As a new business I would expect them to be very welcoming to customers and introduce themselves and their menu options. The first employee who greeted me merely asked if I knew what I wanted. Fortunately, another employee jumped in and ran through some of the favorites and specials with me as it was my first time there. My 3 star rating is a mix of very positive and very negative factors. First the positives.....my sandwich WAS delicious and container it came in kept it from getting smashed. The store was bright, cheerful, and very clean. BUT......it was relatively expensive for the size. The combo options were very misleading and over-priced. My order added up to $11 for a sandwich, medium coke and chips. From a fast food place? There are places nearby with better food for the price or better price for similar food. I got a bowl of soup for $3.99. It was nothing special and the container was only filled about halfway. There were supposed to be peppers on the side, but they were missing. The girl who rang our order was pleasant but she had a hard time figuring out the order and couldn't explain the pricing on extras. These are small things, but together they added up to take away from our experience. I'll give Firehouse another try because I really enjoyed my sub. I'll get only a sandwich next time. read more

I have no idea what happened but firehouse subs has gone really far downhill in the last couple years. My girlfriend and I went there last summer for something different and she got a small cheesesteak and I got a large Italian hoagie and we got sides of Mac and cheese. To say it was awful is an understatement.......all my girlfriends sub was a bunch of bread and a tiny little taste of meat. I ate my Italian sub and within the hour I came home and my stomach was so upset I vomited profusely.....the Mac and cheese was an absolute joke it was overcooked noodles in milk with no flavor what so ever........the bill was over 30 dollars and we will never return to this establishment. Jersey mikes is right down the road from firehouse and their food is a lot better quality. And to be honest, subway? The most corporate sub shop in the world? The sandwiches here are very good. They compare to most other fast food sandwich places. The hot sauces are a big reason I like to come here. Lately however they have really slacked on replacing the sauces. The last two times I have been here they have less than a drop of hot sauce in multiple bottles. The soap dispenser in the restroom was also not dispensing soap making me wonder if the employees are even washing their hands before making my sandwich. Not pleased by this experience. read more
