I ordered the Buff Chicken sandwich and added a bag of chips. The sandwich was huge. I couldn't eat the entire sandwich. It was very tasty with a spicy ranch dressing on it. It also had jalapeños but it wasn't too spicy. The staff were very friendly and talked to us about many of their sandwiches and provided recommendations. Whole there was seating in a side room of the deli, we took our orders to go and spend some time with friends at 3rd Turn Brewing down the street.

The local eatery on the other side of Taylorsville Road the weekend before was a huge let down, but we'd heard nothing but good things about Boone's. The menu board isn't a board but actually more like a scroll, with all the menu items written on the 3 rolls of brown (for lack of a better word) packing paper on the wall. HIGH marks for creativity! (Hopefully the menu items don't change TOO often. It would be a headache to write all that stuff down regularly!) I opted for a spicy roast beef sandwich (exactly what I don't remember. I've slept since then). You can also get chips or one of a few types of home made salads (think macaroni salad, potato salad, etc) or cole slaw. I'm a HUGE fan of cole slaw, and in the case it looked delicious and peppery (like me). While they were making our sandwiches we chatted with the owners a bit and they seem like really nice, down-to-earth people. The told us how some of the menu options got their names and a little history of the business. It's really nice to to be able to chat with the owners. It wasn't long before our food was ready. My wife had, basically, a Rueben minus the sauerkraut (I hate that stuff) and a bag of chips. We both got a bottle of water. Our total was about $38. I've seen a number of reviewers comment on the cost of their meals. We had no complaints at all. They're serving Boar's Head meats, which a higher class/higher quality than most restaurants go near. You're also paying for locally, home made foods. I'm willing to bet that not a single food item came ready-made out of a jug or a box that came from Gordon's food. This is genuine food made with care and pride by the owners themselves. There's a small seating are behind the counter area and a much larger seating area outside, but the weather wasn't suited for such chicanery. We REALLY enjoyed our first visit to Boone's Deli. I think they've got a great product and I hope they stay around a long time.

The sandwiches were delicious, and the service was great. The bread was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the freshly sliced deli meats were top-notch. For this order, my husband ordered two giant subs on the app. While there he had to wait quite some time to receive his order and before he left, he mentioned if they had made sure to remove the onions as requested. The response was "if that's how you ordered it then that's how you'll get it". Well that was wrong. Not only did we have onions, they didn't even make the correct sandwich that was on the receipt. A giant sub is almost $20. While I'm writing this, I'm ready to reduce down to two stars because I'm so frustrated about the Customer experience. It's going to be a long while before we put this sub shop back on rotation.

You can bring in your own food or order delivery from a few spots in the Gaslight District. I especially appreciate it's a family friendly space because my sons are teens. It was so much fun to enjoy music bingo with them while eating pizza from Parlour. Outdoor seating as well - lots of it. Easy street parking. Quick service. Follow them on social to keep up with their events. I'm going to start suggesting this space for more meet ups with friends.
