don't get me wrong i LOVE all the ARC stores but this one is EXTREMELY overpriced for poor items!!! for example this mirror was $200! That is literally insane for a thrift store. This place litters DOZENS of balloons, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, into the air each and every week, to endanger wildlife and, at the very least, litter. The manager, Dawn, doesn't consider it littering and won't do a damn thing to stop it. I have to consider the real possibility that Dawn "graduated" from arc, as a child. While I applaud hiring from within, this might be taking it a bit too far. This is habitual -- and unnecessary -- littering. We are instituting laws against plastic shopping bags, which at least serve a purpose and are often repurposed. While so many businesses have switched to the advertising wings, car dealers in particular, arc wastes money on helium, string and balloons -- money it could put to better use. Arc purposely litters. read more

Your problem is with Dawn. She's not developmentally or intellectually disabled like we are. She's just a rude bitch and I know cuz I worked for her at another store. Terrible thrift store. Anything good that comes in doesn't make it to the shelves, since the employees buy it. Just peak behind the counter at their work desk and check out what they are holding for themselves back there. One could make a decent chunk of change by getting a job there and selling the good stuff that comes in on eBay. They put out common junk and broken items. Thrift stores usually have rules in place to prevent people from doing this. And don't even think about getting electronics on sale. Almost all electronics get a blue tag, which rarely goes on sale. This is why they have shelves of computer routers and boomboxes taking up space all of the time. These people can't seem to figure out that common and broken items that never go on sale aren't going to move. Half of the shelves are filled with the same junk for months. The store itself is very dirty too, and most of the employees look like they are on meth. It's just a scummy, nasty place with bad management. Check out Mile High Thrift if you want to find anything decent. They have fair prices too. read more

This location has a great selection of books... Electronics and furniture are okay, and the home goods are pretty good. This location doesn't seem as picked over as some as the other thrift stores we've tried. Didn't really look through the clothes, but there are certainly a lot of them here. read more

It's a large, well stocked, and organized store. As with all thrift stores a goof look at the product will help you decide. I found several shirts that had inconspicuous damage so I passed. Staff are friendly and there were several of them. Standard pricing for a typical charity thrift store. read more

Initially, it seemed like there was a large selection but then after looking through everything there wasn't much I was interested in. There was not much of a variety, everything seemed extremely outdated in which I don't usually say that because I usually make everything into something pretty relevant. This place has potential maybe the filtering of the donated items could be improved. read more

I was helping my partner move earlier today. A couch that his roommate had would not fit in their new apartment so we tried to take the couch to the Arc on Broadway. The guy was very kind and told us he couldn't take it because he didn't have the space for it in his shop. He recommended we bring the couch to the Hooker location. It was about 3:45 at this point and they stop taking donations at 4. So I called the Hooker Arc and asked if we could bring the couch by today. The woman who answered the phone said they would happily take the couch and that it was 100% okay if we arrived a few minutes after 4pm. So we get to the Hooker location at approximately 4:15 and an employee comes up and tells us under no circumstances would they take the couch from us. He called us liars and wouldn't let me speak to say that I had called just a few minutes before and that if he checked with whoever answered the phone, he would see that we had in fact been given permission to drop the couch off a few minutes late. A man drove up and claimed to be the manager. He also started to yell at us and call us liars. Neither of them would go inside and just talk to the other employees. They told us to get out. The manager wouldn't even get out of his car to talk to us. He just kept yelling that we were liars and that it was past the drop off time. At this point, my partner (who had been holding the couch up for most of this encounter) started to put the couch down. The employee started shoving my partner and told him to pick the couch back up and put it on the truck. He laid his hands on my partner very aggressively during the middle of a global pandemic. Absolutely not okay. They would not even try to de-escalate the situation at all. Just lots of yelling and verbal abuse. After a lot of back and forth they finally just took the couch but the manager gave us a very rude "you're lucky I'm letting you do this and not calling the police". I understand that we got there after the cutoff point but we HAD called ahead to see if this was an option and were given permission to come by. The manager should have just taken the couch and then had a conversation with his staff about not making exceptions. This was truly one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a retailer. Period. Don't waste your time coming here - the one on Broadway is run by decent folk. read more

My favorite stop in the neighborhood. I found things like a $500 headboard for $30. ...so many old antiques that simply need refinishing. Yes, you always get to sort through the standard "stuff," yet that is the joy of finding the gems. All my nieces get unique clothes for birthdays due to the variety of clothing! read more

I would say this is one of the worst ARC's in Denver in size and quality. On that note you can find anything and any thrift store anytime.

I love this arc! I always find great finds for my place, and 50% off saturdays are awesome. I think the home selection (cups, plates, kitchen-related stuff, knit knacks) here is better than the arc on broadway; I always go to broadway empty handed... At this location, I always walk out with something. read more
