I had used Arcadia air with great satisfaction for years. They sold to a new company and changed names. I went with new company since not having AC in July is no joke. The new company manager has been less than desirable and blames everything on customer along with city. New ACs work great and installers were champions. I only went with new company since they would credit the repair work towards new AC that was greater than 2k but had I of known about manager, i would have just loss the $2k and went with the other companies when obtaining quotes. read more

Amazing response time. Weekend, evening and AC went out. I thought for sure I would have to sit in 90+ swealtering heat indoors for at least two days before anyone could get out. These guys really came through when I had toilet issues in my townhome. I didn't realize I would need a new main water valve outside too but the plumber James was happy to explain what he was doing and why I needed it! He made trips to the hardware store for me and was fair with the pricing for parts and labor. Manny showed up on time and was friendly, polite, and knowledgeable. He was able to talk to me about pricing right away and about how the part that needs to be replaced impacts the whole system. I definitely give these guys props for responsiveness. My AC went out late in the afternoon and it was record heat that day. I called my regular AC servicing company and they could not get out until the next morning. I called Arcadia and within about three hours, their technician Valmir Kastrati was on his way to fix it. One of my 2 Trane units quit working at 11pm. Called Arcadia at 1a. The owner answered. He assigned me a tech to be at my home between 4a - 8a. At 7:15a they notified me that their tech was unable to make it to my house and they were rescheduling me with a different tech. New tech arrived at 8:05a; I wouldn't have known otherwise if not made aware by them. Tech's name was Jason. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He diagnosed the problem quickly, and was able to repair my broken capacitor efficiently. He went above and beyond with me to ensure I was happy with the service I was receiving. Overall, if you are in the market for a new HVAC repair company, my experience with Arcadia was met with hospitality, understanding, and urgency. Jimmy was kind, professional, and most of all very human. Not a salesman. Corrected a prior company's misdiagnosis and saved us money on a unneeded system recharge. The clear long-term solution was to replace the severely mismatched equipment (30 year old central unit, 15 year old condenser) but he wasn't even remotely pushy on this, instead assuring us that the units were probably in good enough condition to last another summer if need be. He instead suggested a handful of other inexpensive changes that could be made to the ducting to improve our efficiency and comfort in the meantime. His quotes were detailed and clearly broken out into individual line items. His pricing was so excellent we opted to make all of the suggested improvements AND replace the units. The work done by his team was slower than expected, but they were extremely respectful of our space and went the extra mile to be clean. Jimmy worked around our schedule to schedule the remaining work with minimal impact to us. The technician was really nice to deal with, and charged me over $200 for inaccurate advice. He quoted me nearly $5,000 to replace the leaking coil, plus freon etc. for my 5-year-old Trane air conditioner. I later found out that the coil is in fact repairable and got the unit fixed for a total cost of $980 including refilling the freon. How could I recommend this company? read more

The service itself was good, however, they way overcharge for parts! A fan motor costs roughly $92 and a Capacitor will run you $20 if you buy them yourself. These guys charged $1200 for a fan motor and $400 for a Capacitor!! Are you kidding me?! These are both very easy to install yourself if you are mechanically inclined. Two of the five companies contacted required a service fee just to show up for an estimate. Arcadia offered a free estimate a couple days before the others had availability. Sean was on time, well spoken, performed the estimate quickly and thoroughly, and explained the estimated work to me. I hired Sean on the spot to perform the work that day. Our AC went out in the middle of July. It turned out the entire unit had to be replaced. I called Arcadia Air and within two hours Jimmy, the owner, came to our house to give us a free estimate and he even brought a portable AC unit for us and our dog. The next morning a new unit was installed. The workers, Mike and Brian, were extremely efficient and professional and our AC was up and running again within hours. A few days after the install, Manny came to our house to do a quality control on the new unit. He was very polite and professional and not only did he go over with us how our unit was running, but that they would be out again in October to service our heating unit ahead of winter. My son contacted Arcadia Air & Plumbing to do a brand new 4 ton Heat Pump install after realizing the 13 year old unit would not last much longer. The two guys had to spend some extra time on building out the air handler crawl space in the attic. My A/C went out today and I freaked! Its supposed to be in the 90s this weekend. A friend recommended Arcadia Air. Jimmy came out and was super nice. He went and checked on my units and I guess they were clogged with dust, leaves and debris. He cleaned them and blew out all the hoses etc. He charged just the service fee, had my AC running perfectly in an hour. I signed up for the AC maintenance plan .. $120 yearly but they come and clean 3x year and make sure everything is cool. read more

I had one of my AC units working intermittently. The root cause was due to the blower motor. Arcadia quoted me around $1400 with a $100 Diagnostic fee which I paid on the first visit and was told they will be back the next day with the blower motor. Giovonni showed up un-announced the next morning which is fine and started to work. 3 hours later he said he has the wrong part and that another guy will be coming by in an hour. 3 hours later two young men showed up and went up the attic to do the job, couple of hours later they came down saying they also have the wrong blower and that another blower will be procured and the original tech will come back. The next morning I was told that it will be another 7-10 days before they get the blower. Since this was too long, I called another company and they came out to do the job and when they went up the attic they found that the previous company had left their 2nd blower attached to the blower housing. I guess they must have beating down on that shaft and the reason they were trying to remove it is because they burned it due to mis-installation. Luckily they did not burn down our house by their mistake and them connecting the blower to the wrong power cables. they have caused so much damage that I had to go to a local Home Depot with the new company and buy tools to remove the bad blower they installed. their lack of knowledge had caused me to pay the new company another $1K due to their tech having to spend an additional 5 hours where this was a 30-min job for someone who knows what they are doing. I also had to stay home and work with the new company and wasted 6 hours of my time and had to take off and lose another $1200. I am not asking Arcadia for any compensation but want the general public to know and what to expect when you hire this company to do any work for you. I definitely Do NOT recommend Arcadia or their techs to do any work on your house. read more
