Before the plumber even arrived, three different restoration companies showed up at my door. The strange part? I never called any of them and nobody told me anyone was coming out. I did overhear one of the technicians I allowed in for a "free evaluation" on speakerphone with the plumber asking if a $2,000 finder's fee sounded reasonable. I kept my mouth shut but it definitely raised some red flags. I listened to all three companies separately and then decided to do some serious research online. While some companies have plenty of glowing Google reviews, once you start looking at other sources like Yelp, the Arizona ROC, and the BBB, the picture can look very different. Consider this a friendly warning to homeowners: do your homework. After digging deeper, I was fortunate to find ASAP Restoration. One thing that immediately stood out is that they do not work referral deals with plumbers, do not pay kickbacks, and do not play games with deductibles. They simply focus on doing the job correctly. The team was extremely professional. The mitigation/demo crew handled the water damage quickly and thoroughly, and the reconstruction team has been excellent. We're now about 90% finished with the rebuild and everything is coming together great. I just felt the need to share my experience before heading out for spring break. Our hallway and bathroom were left without a ceiling for weeks…read more Live electrical wires were left exposed and were later tucked back into the ceiling without being properly addressed. The wires were tested and confirmed to be live. This was an extremely concerning safety issue. We had to get a 3rd party electrician come and secure it before continuing to close the ceiling up. Communication throughout the entire process was extremely poor. We had to call almost every day trying to get someone to come back and finish the job. Dan was rude and condescending during our interactions. The AC contractor they sent came out, looked at the ceiling, and left about 30 minutes later without doing anything. During another visit, my ceiling was cracked when he went into the attic. The damage was eventually repaired, but there were multiple charges that were not clearly itemized, so I could not tell whether the cost of that repair was covered by the company or ultimately charged to us. What should have taken around two weeks ended up taking over a month. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. To make matters worse, payment was sent by check through certified mail. Months later, we were contacted again and told that they had never been paid, despite the payment having already been made. I'm leaving this review because I believe other customers should know about my experience before deciding whether to hire this company. Between the lengthy delays, poor communication, live electrical wires, unclear charges, and later dispute over a payment we had already made, this was an extremely frustrating experience from beginning to end.

I contacted The Top Hatter to have my heating & air conditioning ducts cleaned. Called, Steve explained the service and cost, I made the appointment, done. Two very nice young men arrived on time, took a look at the house and got straight to work. They knew exactly what they were doing, answered my questions and they were very professional. After about 30 min two other young men, who were in the vicinity showed up to help. They worked as a team, got the work completed, cleaned up and it was as though they were never there. All of the vent covers were cleaned by hand, ducts were cleaned and sanitized including the A/C unit in the attic and the return. WOW! Great job. I would recommend to anyone interested in this service who wants to have a reliable, reasonable, professional and complete duct cleaning service for their home. We just bought a house that had recently been upgraded and flipped and we were concerned about the A/C system being dirty from all of the construction work, etc. This company was recommended by our realtor. Wow! They gave an excellent quote over the phone based on the square-footage of the house. We explained that this larger property had 3 A/C systems with associated returns, not just one. They said no problem, and they stuck to the bid. They showed up on time with two people. They were very courteous and did a thorough job. A third man showed up with a larger truck-mounted vacuum to clean the returns. They were here a few hours and did not stop until all of the duct work was vacuumed and scrubbed clean. Couple small complaints, one being that we had scheduled for a Sunday afternoon, it ended up getting pushed to Monday at 11am because of their Sunday job lasting longer than expected, which was okay considering Sunday was a day of request anyways. However, I got a call Monday morning at 9:50am saying they would be there in 20 minutes. 50 minutes earlier than scheduled wasn't something I could accommodate for, but they thankfully pushed it out to 10:30am. However then arrived at 10:45am. So the timing overall wasn't a great start. Lastly, the pricing seemed agreed upon and clear in the beginning, but I was told I wouldn't receive the 15% off because that was only for additional services, not the entire service. On yelp it does state it's 15% off for new customers and I didn't see any fine print stating otherwise. I also confirmed I would be getting the 15% off through messages, but I guess they have an AI bot and that's who I got my response from, which then made my 15% off invalid. Nonetheless, the guys were understanding and accommodating which I appreciate and did apply a discount. Overall, I am happy with the service and pricing provided, I just wish it was a smidge more seamless throughout.

These are the things that help make this steam cleaning last twice as long, and they are affordable.
