I was in the market for a new dentist. I reached out to my good friend Krystal Valles to see what Dental office she worked at. She told me Arcadia Dental Group, where Dr. Koo worked and I have met before. I made my appointment and was excited to get my teeth cleaned. My experience on my first day there was excellent. The office was very clean and the rooms were comforting. I am glad Krystal referred me to Dr. Koo. I had my second appointment which was last week and it was awesome. Krystal made my appointment very smooth by taking care of my insurance and confirming my information. My dental hygienist told me teeth looked great and she polished them and I was off. Best ever dentist and office staff. Staff was like family and answered questions truthfully and honestly. My family and I love it here. Love the fish tank and fishes. I go in to the office and they are trying to charge me $400, and I told them I wanted my insurance to cover it. She then said she was going to try to get an authorization, SOMETHING I HAD ASKED FOR TWO WEEKS PRIOR. This was very disappointing and now I have to come back in another two week, and deal with the pain of my wisdom teeth. To top it off, they tried to tell me that I needed a "bone graph" that was going to cost me $1,000 but they would "work with me to do payments" THIS IS THE WORST DENTIST EVER, trying to rip people off. In the end I went to another dentist (this dentist has 25+ years of practice and experience), got the procedure done and this dentist said I would have NEVER needed a bone graph. I have been been seen by Dr. Koo for a root canal, crown, broken tooth and extraction with absolutely no discomfort other than the initial novacaine injection. He is gentle, quick, and very professional. He explained everything to me step by step and always asked me if I was OK. Other than the wait being long, I think Dr. Koo is great. I recently scheduled an appointment with him, but his receptionist forgot to note on my appointment I requested him so he had left for the day. His office called him on his cell and he returned to treat me. I have been seen by other dentists who have hurt me, cut me and pretty much get annoyed with patients that are afraid or have anxiety of dental work. LOVE MY HYGIENIST! I recently had my teeth cleaned and I am VERY happy with my hygienist, TORI, who I've had a couple of times now, since my prior hygienist left. TORI is consistently great, experienced, so knowledgeable, caring and professional. I love the way she explains things to me, and is so gentle that I never have any discomfort. The best thing of all is that after she has finished giving my teeth a thorough clean, they look the cleanest they have ever looked in the 7-8 years I have been going to Arcadia Dental Group. I drove my parents here for a basic cleaning and while in the room, my mom asked Dr. Koo if he can take a look at my wisdom teeth (I had been debating whether or not I should have them taken out). After just one look, Dr. Koo said that I have an infection in one and the other three should also be removed in case of future infections. He immediately took me to the front desk and asked them to take an x-ray and add a chart under my parent. 5 mins later, my x-ray was done and I found myself sitting in a chair, waiting for an extraction. I told him how scared I was from all the horror stories and he reassured me that he's a professional. Just a little insight, he did his undergrad at Cal and grad at UCLA. He's on his 26th year of practice and a complete pro. After all that and 4 sets of anesthetics, it was finally time! Dr. Koo warned me that the first extraction (upper left) was going to be the most nerve wrecking no matter what he says so just to follow his instructions. Before I knew it, he said "one down!" My initial reaction was "what? that was it?" After that, one by one, they came out and within 5 mins, all four wisdom teeth were on the tray. Dr. Koo said that if I iced my cheeks for the whole day, everything should be healed by the next day. 24 hours! You can imagine my skepticism. Fast forward 5 hours later and I have officially stopped bleeding. I lightly rinsed my mouth and started taking my penicillin every 4 hours. I woke up the next day and went straight to the mirror. No bruising, no puffiness, nothing! I cannot thank Dr. Koo enough for his amazing work. Like he said before he started working on me, " You will remember me forever!" Yup, he's right. read more

Arcadia dental group is the worst! So unprofessional from the business office to the receptionist to the dr.'s. When we first went came here 4 years ago, the dr.'s were professional. The past year is a different story, from being looked down on and being pushed aside while having a scheduled appt for PPO patients as being priority to this establishment , to the dr.'s giving mis-leading information and being very rude! The office manager is unorganized and does no keep her promises of sending out the necessary paperwork and calling back to follow up. I will never bring my child back here again. They only care about $$$$ not the patient. read more

Arcadia Dental Group is by far the best dental group I have had. The Dentists working there were very nice and all looked professional at what they did. The dentist that was working on my teeth did a very good job. Compared to my previous dentist this was less painful. I had to have some work done on my teeth and was recommend to the Arcadia Dental Group. First my teeth were cleaned by the hygeinist Frances. Easily the highlight of the day. You could tell she cared and it was the least painful clean I have ever had. Dr. Koo did the work on my teeth. I could not be happier. This was my second dentist I had gone to for this work the first one wanted to charge me an arm and a leg and do much more work then was necessary. I have seen about 3 dentists in the past few years due to changes in my insurance and they all told me different things without any logical explanations. This place was recommended by my boyfriend as he has had work done here. The office itself is clean and has a cool fish tank that helped my toddler son remain seated as he was waiting for me with his dad. I made a PCP change to be able to be seen here and I was able to get an appointment on a Saturday. I came all the way from the Los Feliz area in the Los Angeles area because I was in desperate need of an honest and professional dentist. I went in today and was seen by Dr.Moreno. His is very polite, informative, and detailed with his work. He explained my X-rays in great detail and made a recommendation based on that. My cleaning went well and I already scheduled my appointment for my next procedure with Dr. Moreno. I was dreading my wisdom teeth removal, but after coming to Arcadia Dental Group, I'm finally getting it done after dreading it for so many years and I'm relieved to know that in my case, it's not as bad. When I was 11, I chipped my front tooth because someone pushed from behind at the stairs. Thank god I came here and found the right dentist. Where do I begin well let me start off by saying that I've been going to this dentist for about two and a half years and never had the actual money to invest in myself and my teeth. I've always been treated well at this dentist office they're very easy to call and schedule and they work with your schedule. I've been to many dentists office before and I've always felt like they were only about the money. They tell you one thing after another on what is wrong with your teeth. Almost feels like taking your car to the mechanic. Not at this place, Dr. Moreno has always told me how it is, very straight forward and to the point. If money is the issue they will work with you in order for you to feel great and look great with your smile. Talk to my friend Anita. I love this office. I was a walk in and they saw me within an hour and 1/2. Their prices are fair. Dr. Koo listened to my concerns. I also got a deep cleaning and the person that did my cleaning was very gentle. The gentlemen that does the x-rays is also very good.
