I just want to let everyone know that the flowers that we got ( after spending around $100) didn't even last a few days before they started going bad. The roses all died within several days. A lot of the flowers had browning tips by day 2. Many of the Lillie's died before ever opening. It's too bad because my husband went out of his way ( we don't live anywhere near there) to find the best shop based on reviews. I received a really adorable succulent garden for my birthday that was delivered by Tenita at Arcadia Flowers & Gifts. I wasn't home when she delivered it, but she sent me a text with a photo to let me know she had delivered it and to give her a call if I had any questions. I really love this little garden, but because I kind of have a black thumb, I had a few questions regarding care. So after a couple weeks I sent Tenita a text with a few questions. I wasn't sure if she would respond, but I figured I'd give it a try. Sure enough, she responded quickly, answering my questions and providing a ton of really useful information. This is a great neighborhood (though we really don't live that close) flower shop. My sister started going here years & years ago. Then I think my mom started going. Probably my other sister. Then I became a fan. Jeff is always there. He has a great eye. He also puts up with my last minute request without issue. I know I can trust him to come up with great arrangements time & time again. My favorite thing though is to go in there & see what he has in, look at some of the vases & suggest a thing or two. Then I let him do the magic and get out of his way. That way I end up with something a bit personal but done in great style. The arrangements are always a great value as well. I will admit that I've even looked on-line recently (proflowers.com) but once they tack on all their add-on fees, handling fees, shipping, etc., there's really no reason at all not to go local. Have used Arcadia Flowers off and on for years, but this year for Valentine's Day they saved me with a beautiful arrangement at a reasonable price! I have to admit...I forgot what day it was. Work, stress, etc etc excuses excuses but I realized late in the workday that I was going home empty-handed on a day my wife expected her stupid guy to at least do something romantic for once. Walked into Arcadia Flowers at 5:30 PM and they were able to put together a gorgeous, original arrangement within a few minutes and at a price that beat any other shop I've used. I really like how they will deliver to so many areas in the valley! There was a little bit of a glitch with my first order with them - the vase that was shown in the picture was not the one that was sent. *NOT* because they did false advertising - it was just that the vase pictured had sold out. I was unhappy with what was sent to my coworker but when I brought up my concerns to the florists they immediately made sure I was completely taken care of and created another bouquet for me to pick up later that week at no cost. I have never had such a terrible experience with a flower shop before. We ordered online at http://arcadiaflorists.com/. We ordered a flower arrangement for my mother for Mother's Day. What arrived was COMPLETELY different than what the picture showed. The flower arrangement was poorly put together and it hardly had any flowers. I called to express how disappointed I was after my mom sent us a picture of the arrangement--I needed them to make it right because these were the only flowers we sent to my mother and she LOVES getting flowers. First they explained they couldn't send her any that day--after going back and forth with Fran she agreed to send her another. Then, she called back to explain they were going to have to ask my mother to return the other ones in order to send her a new one. Never in a million years did I expect my mother to receive a terrible flower arrangement on Mother's Day, and then have someone else show up later with another arrangement, asking her to return the other one. It is in extremely poor taste to put my mother in that situation and the worst Customer Experience possible. I called again and explained I was not going to allow that to happen--I honestly would rather have asked them not to send anything than to put her that position. She confirmed they wouldn't ask her to do that. What happens a few hours later? I get a call from my mom, confused about the fact that someone showed up with a new flower arrangement, asking her to return the other one. I WILL NEVER EVERY DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN. read more
