I supposed to buy a bike, after trying days to contact "this business" finally I could where we agreed on terms and purchase a bike next week. I needed my Susuki to be serviced and it had been sitting too long with old gas in the tank. Lyon promised it would be done in a week, no problem and asked that I pay in cash only (that should have been a red flag). I picked it up and it was running but very rough but he told me to just ride it and it would smooth out. This roughness and backfire only got worse so much that it kept stalling and wouldn't run without the choke on. He hadn't drained the tank at all and did minimal carb work to make it run. It was still a mess. He charged way too much for what he actually did. The good news is that I've found a great mechanic elsewhere - who did ALL the work needed and the bike is now running great. read more

I thought I knew what I wanted. I was in the market for a bike. It had been 8 years since I owned a bike and some things had changed. My twins are now 8 years old and I decided it was my turn to have some fun again. My friend had purchased a 2008 GSXR600 and let me ride it. Needless to say, I fell in love with it instantly. From that point on, all I could think about was HOW CAN I GET ONE??? I started doing my homework. After many weeks of research I was ready to make my purchase. I found one on Cycle Trader or Craigslist, I think. It looked clean, had low miles and it was a great deal. I called and left a message showing interest. I received a call the next day letting me know that he had already sold that bike, but that he had a small shop in Arcadia. He invited me to come look at the other bikes he had in stock, and that is what I did. Upon arriving I met Lyon, the owner of Arcadia Motorcycle Company. This was the best move I could have made. After probably an hour and a half, Lyon talked me out of buying one of his bikes. I asked many questions as did he. He thought that bike might not be the right fit for me. From the info I gave him, he thought a 2007 GSXR750 might be a better fit for me. He didn't have one in stock so he shook my hand and wished me the best of luck. This guy has INTEGRITY written across his forehead. So I modified my internet search, and luckily the next day I found one. I called Lyon, sent him the link and asked him if this seemed like a good deal. He responded with an enthousiastic YES! I quickly purchased the bike and couldn't be happier. I brought it back for Lyon to give it a quick 'Once Over'. It needed new tires and a new chain. He had both in stock and actually at a much lower price than Bert's. He took care of it while I waited. He didn't even get angry with me that I was watching him work and asking him a crapload of questions. Lyon has a new customer for life. I found this small dealer from an ad in Craigslist for a particular bike I been looking for, I went to their location in Arcadia city. The place was is rather hidden, there were no sign visible from the main street, had to go around twice and find out their location was inside of an auto shop complex. The place was pretty small but literally full with bikes. All of the bikes were Japanese sport bikes, When I came they had a Yamaha R6, Suzuki Gixxer, and several Kawasaki zx6r most of them in a excellent clean condition. I met Lyon the owner, He was very friendly and polite. He was very informative every time i asked about any particular bike he had. he mentioned all the bikes he own are clean titles,also willing to give the VIN number for me to check. Surprisingly he would tell me straight away what he had done to the bike if he ever done any repair or changes to the bike every time I noticed something from the bike and asked him about it. The nice things is .. since practically he does hands-on work on every bike by himself. he was very knowledgeable about every bike there, did learn a lot from him. Finally there were two bikes I considered, later I told him that I will give it a thought and decide which one I prefer. When I asked about the price, he simply said "price + tax" no BS hidden fees or any BS calculation, hey awesome !! After running the VIN number and make sure it was clean, days later I went back and decided to get the fat zx6r. Again I ask him a million question about the bike and he was patiently answered my questions, must be tough to have me as a customer. Finally the negotiation, it only took 10 minutes max, already had the number that I willing to pay for the bike considering the condition of the bike. After we agree on the price (price + sales tax), he also offered me a service to install the tail lights back as original because I prefer to have a brake lights easily visible (at least for now). A week later he did keep his promise by installing the tail light after i hand him the parts. He also delivered the bike to my place at reasonable fee. been riding the bike now, loving it.. no problem ! got my plates, title and registration within 3 weeks. Well I can't really add much to what has already been said. This shop is welcoming and feels personal. The owner, Lyon (say Lion) is an upfront guy and will not sell you on anything. But that's not really the point. I went in with a used bike purchased a few weeks ago and had a chain adjustment done. I wanted to check out the shop and become a customer, so I made an appointment for this simple task. Obviously newer to motorcycles, Lyon discussed the bike with me a little, and gave me tips about how to best finish off a chain after cleaning. The great thing is I did not ask for the cleaning and lube, and in fact had done it a couple hundred miles earlier. I came just for an adjustment. I told Lyon this but he cleaned and lubed it, anyway. And not the lazier way as I did with a "grunge brush." He cleaned it with a rag and solvent and just....scrubbed it by hand, essentially. Whatever the case the chain is well adjusted now, and sparkly clean, too. So, that was my experience. He looked over the bike, said it was as well as any, didn't need anything but tires, and I paid him and was on my way. Will be back sooner then later for the tires and will have all other servicing done here, as well. And yes, this place is neat and clean and well kept as has been mentioned. It feels like a shop where one guy works on bikes as simple machines. I am sure much more is involved, but if you leave your bike here you'll have a good feeling it is coming out right. His attitude seems to be "no problem." I don't know the limits of his shop, or if he does not take on certain kinds of work, but for what you see posted at his website, he is good for it. I met a rider outside who has, somewhat interestingly, the exact same make / model bike I ride. Same color, too. It was coming out as I was going in. His has 30,000 miles on it, mine is under 10,000. But this place keeps his up and running, and that's good enough for me. Also good to meet a customer who says this shop is top notch, too. So much I can say about this little shop, but mostly I can say you can trust it, and it's "one man show." He greets you, takes your bike, fixes your bike, and writes up your receipt.
