Nothing bad to say about Arcadia Pediatric Dental! We have been patients for about 4 years and have never had a bad experience. Check in was easy and quick (NO problems from the front staff at all!) Airlin was very sweet with my kiddo and very informative. She reassured me that we are doing all the right things for our kiddos dental health. Alli was also very sweet and kind. She also reassured me and was very kind to my little one. My kid had no fear or trouble with their routine exam! They run a well oiled machine and get you in and out fast and efficiently. Your office needs to get their shit together. That was the worst dental experience we've ever had. Our appt was at 12:30, we showed up at 12:20. Sat for 45 min and watched several people get called back. My kids were starving and thirsty and nobody seemed to care. At no point did anyone tell me that you were running behind schedule. You had several opportunities to do so. Instead, you let us sit there, nervous and on edge about the procedure. I had to walk up and ask, and THEN I'm told you were running behind and that it would be ANOTHER 40 min. This is how you treat patients? Then I don't trust any of you operating on my children. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Both my husband and I had to take days off work, my kids missed a day of school and also missed testing day for this. What a waste of our time. We will not be returning, ever and all of us deserve an apology. Again, if you're running behind schedule...LET PEOPLE KNOW. It's called communication and as a dental office dealing with nervous patients, especially children, you FAILED. My kids were both scheduled to go under general anesthesia for extractions so they went over 12 hours without food or water and you didn't think it was vital to let me know you were running behind. read more

Review STRICTLY FOR FRONT STAFF- Worst customer service ever. Their time management is quite unprofessional. I had to wait 55 minutes for my sons routine check up. Front staff mentioned afternoon appointments always run late. Why wasn't I notified of this prior to my appointment? Perhaps i would've scheduled at a later time or day? Highly disappointed. Please use better management so patients do not have to wait almost an hour. Or possibly give a courtesy call to reschedule the appointments who may possibly wait 45+lminutes. read more

This dentist office is so nice. The staff is very friendly. It has a big play area for the kids. Based on the times I've been there, I never waited to be called more than 10-15 minutes in the lobby, which isn't so bad. My little guy is 1.5 years old and I brought him in for his first dental appointment yesterday! We loved it here! We came in during COVID-19 and the office was spotless, play areas were closed, they took temperatures, did verbal health screenings, and everyone was so friendly. We did a lap visit with Dr. Pederson so that my little guy felt more comfortable, however, he still screamed! I'm sure they hear this lovely sound a lot. Thanks so much for you patience and guidance, Dr. Pederson! We'll get to brushing and will be back in 6 months. Their goody bag was also the cutest! This place is really great: they have an old-skool arcade game set-up, a full on indoor playscape and a coffee and tea station for the parents: Read = WIN! So my main tip is get there early so your kid can play and get all their sillies out before their appointment. Genius. (Incidentally, I also got my Pac-Man on because, well, 80s kid here. Which means I also got my sillies out because Moms get nervous going to their kids' dentist, too, right? I mean, it's kinda like part of your parent report card.) The dentist chairs are fantastic and completely oriented to kids. Flat screen TVs on the ceilings are playing Disney Jr., Nick Jr., etc., you get the idea. I have found both the doctors and staff to be welcoming, competent and kid-friendly. All very important for going to the dentist. I also felt the dentist has a good bedside manner for children but also was specific in his attention to detail and when talking to me. We left with a pink balloon both times and a bag with a cute toothbrush, floss and toothpaste. Overall a pleasant experience the two times we have been. We will stay with them despite moving to North Scottsdale. The drive is worth it. read more

I really wanted to continue at this practice because Dr. Pederson (aka Dr. Alli) is great in person. However, she either speaks with false sincerity or has very little say in how the practice is run because her staff lacks courtesy, empathy, and takes zero onus when their poor planning affects your child. On 3 different occasions they have canceled my kids' appointments on short-notice. The first was when Dr. Alli was away on her planned maternity leave. Actually, it was a month into her maternity leave and yet somehow, the office was only able to notify me the week prior to a scheduled appointment to let me know that it had to be rescheduled. Second was when Dr. Alli was away on a scheduled vacation. And third was last month when a surgery day was scheduled "all of a sudden." The first office manager I spoke to couldn't be bothered less. All she said was that this is how their office runs...surgery days are scheduled without notice, and these aren't emergency surgeries as the office manager clarified. So, they schedule children for dental procedures on short notice? I then talked with another staff member, Taby, who spoke to me on "behalf of the practice and Dr. Alli," yet, took no responsibility and offered no apology. I had previously discussed my concerns with Dr. Alli, who seemed to be sympathetic and advised me to reach out if scheduling issues happened again. However, despite asking Taby to pass on a message to Dr. Alli more than a week ago, I've heard nothing back. If for no other reason than professional courtesy (since I'm also in the medical field), I would have expected a response. I'm surprised to read about the accolades the this practice boasts on their website because I've never seen this practice come up in any parent/physician social media group. I used to wonder why because I believed it was a good practice, and now I understand. They are so poorly run. I have never been been part of a practice, as a physician or patient, that had such little consideration for their patients. If you leave, they will not care. That is telling in and of itself. (Of note, I informed Taby that I would be leaving this review last week. She gave me full permission to speak about my experience here as well as on social media sites, which again, speaks volumes about this practice. If they cared, they would have tried to rectify their mistakes.) read more

Someone needs to Investigate this dental office and their procedure. They did the same thing other ppl commented on they wanted to just remove teeth and put the kids with general anesthesia without going over other options. They literally lied to my face stating the kids had multiple cavities and teeth to be removed , never showed me the x rays? I went to a different dentist who verified each kids have ONE cavity . I dk if this is some sort of insurance fraud crap but this is not okay on so many levels!!! read more

My wife and I recently brought our 2 year old son into the office- concerned that his speech delay could be due to a tongue tie- a condition that restricts the tongue's range of motion. Not one to feel comfortable in a medical office, he absolutely loved the play place set up in the lobby and seemed to feel at ease. The addition of balloons through the entry was welcome and distracted him when his weight was taken (at this point he usually freaks out). We met with Dr Wallace, who was easy to speak with and very approachable. Our son is pretty hyper and difficult to control, but he somehow managed to comfort him enough to inspect his mouth. After examination he concluded that there was little likelihood that our son's speech delay was caused by an irregularity in the tongue. Other doctors may have recommended the procedure with an 'it can't hurt' attitude, but Dr Wallace was honest with us and gave us his opinion one parent to another. We switched over to Arcadia about 3 months ago. We hadn't liked the origins dentist we started with when she was a year old, so started shopping around. We are so, so glad we did. We never have to wait long, staff is friendly and they get things done! My doctors office was slacking with getting her consents back from her pediatrician, but the lady who was assigned to our file was really staying on top of it. This office had the best options for her treatment plans, they actually care about esthetics and the doctors really take the time to explain everything. As long as you need, as many questions as you have. Super clean office, balloons for the kids always blown up and ready to go! A play place for the kids which is awesome. It doesn't hurt that the doctors are VERY good looking. Bottom line, they did an EXCELLENT job with my daughter's teeth. read more

Our first visit to the office was due to my son falling off the couch and damaging his two front teeth. Everyone was friendly enough and I was simply told that the teeth were pretty damaged and needed to be removed. I had a hard time accepting this as my son is 4 and his adult teeth won't come in for 3 years or so. That was it. I decided to get a 2nd opinion so called to request our x-rays be sent over. They sent me a release form and I returned it within an hour on November 17th. It is now November 23rd and all 5 emails I have sent have yet to be responded to and I NEVER received the x-rays. The lack of customer service is enough reason for me to never return. Not to mention the 2nd opinion we got gave me multiple treatment options and made sure we fully understood the injury and the plan long and short term. read more

Such a great experience! Our son (3) was so nervous but the dental hygienist and dentist made him laugh and get comfortable quickly! They were both gentle and patient. I took my 2 year old to his first dentist appointment here. With no other pediatric dentists to compare it to, I had no expectations. BUT was very impressed with this new, clean, spacious and bright facility. The lobby itself is very inviting, my son usually dislikes new places, but immediately liked the bright colors and cheery atmosphere. There is coffee for the parents, magazines & then arcade games, tv, and a full size play structure for kids. The actual dentist area is just as cheery, bright and clean as the lobby. My son had a first good experience, even more so than at his regular pediatrician office. He was rewarded a balloon and toy cars, Which he will certainly remember for when we go back. Exceptional new practice in Arcadia. Very clean and modern, even have arcade games and an indoor playground in the waiting room, to keep kids entertained and less anxious. Dr. Wallace and his team were very patient and kind with our daughter. She had her cavity filled without any discomfort. We just visited to get my sons teeth fixed. He had chipped a few of them. I must say I was totally blown away with the whole experience. The facilities are top notch and Exceptionally clean. The staff was on point and amazingly friendly. The dentist was very knowledgeable and was quick to recommend exactly what he would do to fix the issues just like he was working on his own son. Seriously I highly recommend this place! The staff is so friendly! They explain what needs to be down. I had a bad experience 2 years ago with another dental place who let my son wake up alone and he was traumatized. With Arcadia pediatric they went over what they were going to do and made sure my son was comfortable before taking him to get the procedure done. Vanessa was very friendly towards him. After an hour and a half they called me to be there when he woke up. Vanessa was there and explained the after from the procedure, told me to wait for a bit until my son was okay to walk and was aware of his surroundings before I took him home. We went last week for a clean and Vanessa cleaned out his teeth. She was very patient when my son kinda freaked out. Also the rest of the staff is friendly!! read more

What's the point of getting a quote on the phone before you go in when you go in they change the price? We have gone here multiple times and drive across town to take our kids here. We are cash pay and asked for a price when scheduling. Once we went in they raised the price and said I was misquoted. So you would think for that time they would honor what they had told me right? Nope, they sure didn't stick with their word. I told them not to reschedule my kids for 6 months when we left but they did, I emailed and asked to cancel. Fast forward 6 months now and I get another email confirming our appointment which I said to pls cancel. Then few days later I get a call to confirm my appointment. I'm not sure where their miscommunication is happening in their office but their service is quite disappointing after I've been taking my kids here since their first appts. Please, do not bring your child here! My 3 year old had two cavities on his front teeth. The dentist told us our only logical options were to put him to sleep using anesthesia (reminding you, he is 3 years old) to put FOUR crowns on his front teeth, or to put him to sleep in a few months to pull the teeth out once they inevitably get infected. I asked for alternatives to stop the decaying. He told me the only alternative was to turn his front teeth black! Obviously trying to steer me towards using anesthesia. After telling me he puts kids his age on anesthesia about 5 times a day, I knew we walked into a completely unethical practice. Please do research before trusting them. (My son was treated at a different dentistry a week later. Laughed the whole way through the appointment and left with a simple filling!) read more
