She surprised us with champagne and appetizers, took pictures of us as we opened them, and even gave us cupcakces for dessert AND bought us a bouquet of flowers. After that, she took pictures of us by Rockefeller Center. This woman just goes above and beyond and may be the first person we've encountered to truly have a heart of gold. The quality of the rings is exquisite, the re-sizing perfect, the attention to detail, the personal attention....we will remember this for the rest of our lives. The process to adjust the bracket of the watch was taking longer than expected, so the gentleman apologizes over his shoulder telling me, "They make these quote unquote expensive watches really difficult". That statement concerned me as I had bought my watch online. Did I get a fake?!? No. He just has VERY STRONG opinions on "expensive" watches. He proceeded to enlighten me at length using the analogy that it was essentially the equivalent of buying a BMW when a Ford will give you the exact same vehicle. for considerably less. He went on to say that this is why people come to him, he's not trying to sell them anything, he's just telling the truth. Well, to me, he totally sh*t on a purchase I was excited about. Something I had looked forward to for years. He made me feel like an idiot for even wanting it, much less ACTUALLY being stupid enough to buy it. I walked in super stoked to get be so close to wearing my new watch. I walked out feeling like I'd just received a lecture on how stupid this man thinks I am. I understand that being for settings, but in this case, the stem broke off an earring. They charged me $75 to repair but it included a rodium dip. Which would make it look like new again. I paid it and left my earrings. I picked up and noticed the repair was clearly noticable. My earrings didn't get a dip! That is a careless oversight and tells me that they didn't clearly inspect the finished repair to miss such a major part of the repair. White gold, repaired with yellow gold stands out. At pick up, the gal that helped was really nice and friendly. She had to take care of something else and a guy took over. He was short and rude. I stood there forever, without any interaction and finally asked if I was all set. He said no, he had to give me a print out. He could have said that in the first place. He gave me the printout and told me that I had to print in this specific piece of paper with my jewelry every six months for the inspection. Talk about antequated! Like a punch card. My husband's name is in the system, they looked up the items and order the repair under his phone number. I asked if it was really necessary and without waiver, he said yes, I had to keep this printout and bring it in for years to come. Bullshit. The jewelery is fine but we won't buy from here again. It's not worth dealing with the lack of attention to detail and rudeness.
