Congratulations to the Conway Muse re-opening! We had a lovely evening with two venues available to sit and enjoy love music, downstairs a vocalist and upstairs a band. Our single ticket got us in to both, and the Muse was decked out for New Years Eve. Party hats, poppers, balloons, and a good time without crowding. If it weren't for the music, this location would likely fail for their incredible flaws. Never, have I had food this bad except maybe in elementary school in a cafeteria. AVOID FOOD HERE! 11.50 a platter!? Somehow, they get away with simply adding the cover to your tab. Evidently, it's expected that you will by drinks. There is a lot of kitsch to the atmosphere. This place looks to be in a barn looking building. It has the feeling of a "locals only" type place. The food menu here was short, 1 page front and back. I got the french dip with macaroni salad and but not impressed with the food. The macaroni salad was not as creamy as I would like and had an overpowering celery taste. The sandwich was on a french roll and the meat was layered only 3-4 slices thick, the sauce on the sandwich was sparse and unmemorable. The only thing that saved it was the au ju. I also had a root beer float. The ice cream filled the cup so I couldn't add as much root beer. I would give this 3/5 read more

I have only had poor experiences at The Conway Muse over the years. Horrible service (If you can get any service that is). One time I tried to rent out a stage for an event I was hosting and I never did get to talk with anyone in charge to actually book it after leaving my phone number with 4 different people who kept passing the buck on to someone else who never seemed to be present when I stopped in, I finally gave up and rented out a church for a day. I've been to a couple of live music shows upstairs and it was so loud we just left after the first set, once after paying for tickets in advance only to show up and have them get extra chairs and put us right in front of the bands loudspeakers in the corner where we couldn't even see the band. And then tonight The Muse had a very talented group of musicians playing and the musicians advertised the show on Facebook so they would get a good turnout, but why even advertise when The Muse had them playing in the dining room that only seats about 30 people? I must have seen at least 15 people come in and turn around and leave because there was no place to sit, which is what we did. Of course we stood there for a few minutes and were never approached by anyone who resembled a server. So unfortunate. We usually refuse to see live music at The Conway Muse but I made an exception for this incredible group of young musicians, and The Muse has the band crammed into a tiny stage in the dining room. Insulting to the musicians and the dozens of people who planned to see them on Friday night and had no place to sit. Still not impressed in the least with The Conway Muse. read more

We were there for a special event in the top part of the main building. It was a hay loft that has been renovated into a space for events it has a stage and loft like feeling! It was cozy yet open....I would defiantly recommend and go back for any events there! read more

The food is 11.50 a plate no matter what you get and the burger looks like it came from a vending machine and came with a few burnt potato chunks and a sliver of orange. On top of that they don't take cover at the door and then add that to your bill. read more

Last night 4 of us spent the night here and had a wonderful time watching a show by David Lindley and Jim Lauderdale - 2 world class musicians. We arrived early in time for dinner and while the service was stretched as a result of a sold out show, the food was excellent. Salads were fresh and the dressing was tasty, but the Muse Burger was one of the best I've ever had! They added chopped bacon to the meat before cooking, so it was crunchy on the outside and moist in the middle. The condiments were right on...carmelized onion relish, tomato, lettuce...just perfect. We will be back both for shows and food in the future! It's a great venue to see a sort of personalized show! read more

I had there lamb burger and my brother had the 20 hr smoked brisket everything was great but the brisket was amazing "in fact my mouth is watering just thinking about it" This place is the best food in the valley don't pass it up. read more

Omg this is one of the coolest places I have ever been. Absolutely amazing venue. It's an A frame in the middle of knowhere..... aka Conway just west of Mt Vernon. Great grounds funky atmosphere and astonishingly good music. Duel venue place! More mellow stuff downstairs and a great rockin venue upstairs. Feels like a world class barn party!!! Currently upstairs is an 11 piece Motown jazz, swing band in a space that accommodates them and 100 great fans easily. Get the hell out of Seattle folks, take a beautiful drive to Mt. If you want to spend 60 Bucks for 2 burgers and 2 cokes, go for it. We just wanted to go out for dinner to a place we have never been before. Drove a long ways for an evening drive and ended up here. We had looked up online the menu and saw that they had fish and chips which is our absolute favorite to find out they don't serve fish and chips and it wasn't even listed on their printed menu. The menu looked old so was the fish ever served and why was it still on their online menu so we settled for hamburgers. We asked in this small setting by the bar if this was the only place to sit and she said yes and music was going to be provided. After our order was brought to us and we started to eat, the live music began and it was so loud, we couldn't carry on a conversation. She didn't tell us when we ordered 2 cokes with our meal, that they were not deli cokes but bottled and non refillable drinks like most restaurants have and were very expensive. Had to ask for glass with ice and no straws. One napkin each. Had to ask, ask, ask as our service was terrible. We told her upfront we had never been there and if the waitress had explained that our expensive meal would also be charged an additional 20 bucks for the extremely loud music..we wouldn't have stayed. We couldn't eat fast enough to get out of there and we had to ask for our check and then when she didn't come back, we had to take our money to her. We stayed less than hour and apparently paid for this entertainment we didn't hear for another 2 hours. We definitely were dubbed in with only 6 other people at that time in this tiny dark place. Never will we return. Oh, the food? Not good either for the price. read more

I love the quirky, funky ambiance of this place. I've been here a couple of times to listen to music and twice to see Always, a tribute to Patsy Cline. The show was fantastic, but there were a couple of downfalls. First, they are much more interested in making a buck than providing a safe and comfortable venue for their customers. They packed as many tables and chairs they possibly could into the place so that you literally had to ask other patrons to move their tables and chairs so you could get up and then again to walk anywhere. I had to order 3 different times because they were out of everything and the food was mediocre at best. Service was very slow as well. The servers were apologetic and did the best they could. However all of these problems could have been avoided if they sold less tickets. I will still go to The Muse to listen to music, but it will need to be a band I absolutely love and I will definitely eat elsewhere beforehand. read more

We've been to the Conway Muse to see Pearl Django and on another occasion to see a blues band whose name I can't remember. Both performances were indoors in the downstairs venue. I know they have upstairs and outdoors but haven't been for either of those. They have a full bar and a decent menu to provide ballast for the alcohol which you're going to need unless you're actually a local resident. The place is small and informal and there's not a bad seat in the house. They had a dance floor for the blues band, a good thing because they were moving the house. I liked it a lot, but don't care for the duration of the round trip from metro Seattle. read more

Went to the Conway Muse last night. Music, Anna Tivel- violin/guitar/vocals and Nathaniel Talbot - guiar/most vocals were excellent and ideally suited to this eclectic and intimate venue. All the hype didn't come to fruition in my visit to the Muse. The atmosphere is charming and the overall concept is wonderful. Unfortunately, the service was awful. The owner was on the premises the whole time we were there and never stepped up to help the single food server who was painfully incapable of covering the floor alone. The food, when it finally arrived was surprisingly good and the live music was a really pleasant distraction. I went to dinner with my wife on 3-10 to listen to some bluegrass music and have dinner. The dinner was great and very tasty. After dinner i ordere a Glenmorangie single malt Scotch. It was very tasty and i enjoyed it as i listend to the music. However when i ordered another I was brought a much cheeper whiskey. I do not take kindly to this kind of manuver. You don't mistakenly pour a $2.5 nozzel whiskey for an $8 scotch. My bill was close to a C-note, and it will be the last $ they will see from me. read more
