It was our first time at Juanita's. I am a bit more discerning about Tex Mex/Mexican restaurants because we do have a lot to choose from. The best thing about Juanita's was the service. We visited early on a Friday and were seated immediately. Our waitress was friendly and stayed on top of things but was not intrusive. Our dinner arrived fast too. My husband and I shared beef fajitas, which were good-not as flavorful as we like, but good. Our drinks were also great and the bill arrived quickly. I think we were in and out in 40 minutes-it seemed fast but there was already a wait on Friday evening when we were leaving so it was good to clear the table. All in all a good visit! read more

I needed trays of enchiladas for teacher appreciation week and I called around and got prices, not only did they have the best prices but the manager was so friendly and accommodating! Ordered Juanita's through DoorDash and wow, these fajitas traveled like pros. The 10oz portion was tender, juicy, and seriously well-priced. Definitely ordering again. The queso was creamy and rich (no mid-meal brick status!), and the chicharrones? Still had a crackle when dipped in the cool salsa. That's MVP-level freshness for delivery. Only ask: maybe toss in a few more peppers next time--we had 2 plates and about 3 pepper strips total. But the onions and rest of the veggies made up for it. Hosted a surprise party for a close family friend. Jamie and Juan accommodated our group of almost 30 seamlessly. I called ahead and our table was ready when we arrived. We were not rushed and made to feel very welcomed. To have a group of right at 30 and have no issues whatsoever made the night more than I could have ever asked for. From chicken tacos, to poblano nachos to fajitas and everything in between. We were all pleased with our meals, the margaritas flowed, and it was a great night full of lots of memories. Came after shopping at the outlets on a Tuesday evening. No wait which is good! Started off with a margarita flight because I'm indecisive and wanted to try different flavors. Definitely just tasted like fresh juices which is good but I also wanted the punch of a strong margarita. I will say guava and pineapple were my favorite flavors Also being indecisive, i went with the appetizer mixta as my entree. A little bit of everything I wanted to try all on one plate. Enjoyed the flautas and could've done without the nachos. My friend had camarones a La plancha and thought it was good! As a costumer who LOVES juanitas (Louetta location) this location continuously disappoints. Its almost like each time my family and I give this specific location another chance, they get worse. Dont be confused, I love the Juanitas on Louetta. Its a monthly visit for my family. This location off of 290 needs to take notes. We walk in and one of the hostesses was eating a bag of chips while trying to help us. Gross. chewing with her mouth open and licking her fingers... if this is how they treat front-of-house representation imagine how the kitchen must be! It was obvious our food sat underneath the warmer for too long. Cheese burnt and sauce dried up on my moms Enchiladas al carbon. I ordered the chicken cilantro salad (a menu item I order nearly every time i visit Juanitas) and the chicken fajita was overcooked and dry! Extremely disappointing. The next time we go to the Louetta location we will let the owner know just how disappointing his other location is! If youre shopping at the outlets or near 290.. dont bother coming to this Juanitas location unless youre interested in disappointment! read more

In my opinion and based on our experience. Read the glowing reviews and visited for dinner for the first time. Were seated right away although had to wait to have the very dirty table, floor, and seating area cleaned. Party of 4; ordered Margaritas, Trio Fajitas for 1 (Chicken/Beef/Shrimp), Poblano Chicken Enchilada, Concha Grande Chicken (in a fried tortilla shell), and Chicken Fajita Tostada. Food arrived promptly and was decent, run-of-the-mill Tex-Mex, I would say. Not sure why the reviews were so glowing! Tortilla Chips and Tomato Salsa were cold; while the Green Tomatillo(?) Salsa was warm and tasty. Toreados (blistered peppers) that were to accompany the Fajitas were charged extra, as were the fresh, diced Jalapeños - latter is available for free at most other restaurants. The Toreados were ridiculously spicy and nearly burned out tongue. Flour tortillas were rather tiny and three of them per order is not sufficient of one shares the Fajitas. Service overall was prompt yet a bit pushy, with the server telling me how much to tip! Overall, a very expensive meal for the food on offer - set us back $172, including 18% tip. The Margaritas themselves cost $60! There definitely are cheaper/better places around, not sure why this one is so special (per the reviews). Not great value for money. Me & my Husband decided to come here for his birthday. The food was a 5/10, I had ordered the Chicken Enchiladas, but the tortillas were hard and quite honestly tasted like frozen enchiladas. The service was a 7/10, our waitress was in a mood when we first arrived but thankfully changed her attitude into a positive one afterwards. They knew I didn't like my food and kept checking on us after, which was really sweet! they asked if I wanted to change my food, but I declined. Saying best Tex Mex just isn't enough because now I have another new favorite restaurant to add to my list!! First off, the Supreme Nachos are incredible and addicting! I like to sneak by and get these to go if I'm busy or don't feel like cooking. Their margaritas are strong enough to make you feel great and the flavors are plentiful if you want more than a house margarita! Try a flight if you just can't choose or if it's your first time. If you have friends or a bigger group then it's an incredible deal to do the margarita tower. The flavor on every dish we have ordered has been spot on so I'm definitely impressed. If you want an appetizer to share, I recommend the Mexican Guacamole. You may even have to get two. I don't always like to share. Ha! Finally we were able to experience brunch here and that was also very tasty! Our daughter has to have pancakes of course but we dove into the avocado toast (with mexican guacamole on top) and the chilaquiles with bacon on the side. YES!! To top it off now they have Mimosa flights! Super cool! I like variety and their menu is so big! Works f The service is wonderful, bartenders are super nice and of COURSE the food is amazing! Had to come back again and this place just never disappoints me, I had the taco's al carbon, my friend had the Laredo dinner. She said this is one of the few places she had been that she couldn't find one complaint, food is just perfect service is excellent atmosphere well it was almost like home. Our server Felix is just awesome he even arranged to get me a side of the cactus (which I have never had before) and it has to be at the top with ceviche and fajitas. This is our go to Saturday mexican food. Always fresh and delicious. The Birria tacos are filled with tender delicious meat and the consommé broth is amazing. Long story short! Food was disgusting. Only ordered 1 thing which was a beef enchilada. I asked for a manager to have it removed off my check. He asked me did I want anything else I said no! No one liked there food so I wasn't going to be disappointed again. I told him no! He just walked away and left the food on the table! We ask for the check. My father told her he only had the nachos and chicken quesadillas and two sodas! He actually paid his bill before I even said anything about mines. When I got my check I seen the beef enchiladas on there I told her to please remove it as I requested it to be sent back and I didn't like it nor did I eat it. I told her that I wasn't paying for it. She told me don't be mad at her in a rude voice. I wasn't mad at her. I was irritated that the workers and her manager was staring at us as if we were going to eat the food and not pay! It was uncomfortable. Plus I had already requested that it be removed and here we are a second time. They removed it. I paid in cash because these places are shady and we all know you can add stuff after the fact. I have used pos systems before I know what it can and can not do. So my father gets a notification from his card company that he was charged $68.88. We assume that they edited the tip. Because the beef enchilada wasn't on his check. Remember he paid before me! I had the beef enchilada on my check. They removed it off my check just to add it on his! We are all thinking the same thing WHY? You know it wasn't his food, you know no one ate the food, you know that this specific meal was suppose to be taken off. We had this discussion twice now! So again I ask why was this added to his bill unknowingly? Why is he getting charged for something no one should be charged for let alone him. Especially after the fact? This place just wanted money. It's truly sad. You should always do the right thing even when no one is looking. They chose to do the wrong thing just so they can make $16.95 on a meal that probably cost $4 to make. Now the whole world will know about what they did. When you are looking for a place to eat I don't recommend this place for several reasons. Do yourself a favor don't make the same mistake I did. Too many honest and great Mexican food out here to be worried about someone adding stuff to your bill knowingly. read more

We absolutely love Juanita's and love their food. We have been enjoying their brunch menu the last several weekends and I was so excited to see that they serve menudo!!! It is very hard to find good menudo but it's right here in Cypress!!
