This charming little taphouse is located - quite literally - at the end of the picturesque Arch Bridge that forms the entry to historic Oregon City. I visited recently on my way to a wedding, wanting to enjoy one last local brew before I headed home after an epic weekend in Portland. I was not disappointed. Their selection of beer amazingness was awesome - they had something for everyone, from light to dark, from hoppy to malty, from low ABV to high ABV. I settled on a pale ale from Bent Shovel, a brewery I'd never heard of but would like to learn to get to know, and it was quite tasty. In fact, I ended up having another one while I crafted a sign for the next keg they were about to tap. All in all it was a great visit, with a super friendly business owner behind the bar and lots of local banter to be heard. read more

Over the last 4 years, I've made it a point to always stop into Arch Bridge when I'm in town. This taproom and bottle shop has always been a highlight of trips to the area with their well curated draft selections, excellent to go bottles, and friendly staff. Even though it can be a year or two between trips from Ohio, Gene still remembers me and it's always a good time talking about local and other craft beer. As for the tap selection, it is always a good mix of domestic craft beer and some very nice local gems from the area. The to go bottle selection is a bit more varied with a great blend of rarer local and national beers as well as some great imports. read more

They've got a good variety of rotating taps to suit a number of tastes and a great selection of bottled beers in the cooler if you're willing to throw down a few extra bills on quality beer. The digs are clean and modern, with an eclectic selection of records that will have you wanting to stay just a bit longer to see what's up next. Good selection of seating options for a date, group of friends getting together, or saddling up at the bar. Super good service that is friendly and approachable. Very clean and not 'sterile', sterile is typically bland. This place already has character. In a town that is becoming swamped by tasting rooms, this place is not staying as busy as I think it should be. 12 rotating taps and 50 or so beers/ciders in their side coolers. Helpful staff/management. They are very knowledgeable and can help you find something that will fit your pallete. I hope to see this place continue to get more patrons. The atmosphere is casual and the space itself is fairly small, but not overcrowded even when it does get busier. You can get growlers filled here, as well as purchase beers to go from their refrigerators. Side note, their music is all good, older albums played on a turntable in the corner. Dire Straits is done, time for Led Zeppelin. Cheers! UPDATE -- I went to a pairing with a Sushi venue named ZENBU, another one of my favorite places. It was excellent to be able to enjoy some food as I had a few beverages. Arch Bridge was very very busy and the management and staff on hand were easily able to handle the patrons orders in a timely manner. The rumors I heard about this place were true. Mainly, that they have a good tap list, and at least one is dedicated to DeGarde! And, with my pioneering visit to the tap house, that was the true. So, the track record appears true by my observations. In addition to an impressive tap list, they also have a great supply of bottles to purchase for on-site enjoyment or for take-away. Now that I know the folks at Arch Bridge taphouse read these, I'd like to share my take on them. I rarely leave Google or Yelp reviews, I dunno, I'm probably 3 bad 7 good business reviews online in the last 5 years. I think they're one of the best taphouses in the Northwest. Excellent bottle selection, even if it isn't the biggest, it's cultivated and high quality. The tap list is always inspired with high calibur, unique, and the best beers that can be obtained locally. Regular, but not too regular big events. Burger Monday! (Still want to get one...!) .. Food across the way. Dog friendly!!! (Thank you). Everyone who works there is friendly and genuinely​ enjoys beer in a non-pretentious way. Being in Oregon City there is a little more down to earth vibe than downtown or ne/se Portland. That's likely why they end up with some of the best beer that hits the shelves and taps in the region. They always do nice samples, probably in the very best sample glasses in the metro area-mini chalice fluted glasses. And finally, they are engaged with the local community and seem to support very small Oregon breweries. read more

Along one wall is a row of coolers that have beer you can't easily find or you would need to go to a more locally specialized store like New Seasons or Market of Choice. They do not have food but allows you to bring food in from the two internally connected restaurants, Ingrid's Scandinavian Food (closed Mon & Tues) and a Soban (serves Koren fare closed Thurs and Sun). This is my favorite Taproom in the PDX area. I live up in Vancouver but am willing to drive down to meet my cousins for a beer here because I always know I will love the beer and the experience. All the décor is from local artists and it adds a really nice warm feel to the place. I am always pleasantly surprised by the selection here. It is one of the best places in the area to get a sour or other less common brew. Still they always have a good group of IPAs and more common types too. read more

Great little beer spot. I love the explanatory menu of what they have on tap and it was great that the man behind the bar offered me a sample of the beer I was interested in before I bought it. (I ended up choosing something else, so thank you!!!) Bonus points because it's nice and cool in here on a scorching hot day, it's also clean and not too noisy. There's also a nice fridge with more bottled beers if you don't prefer what they have on tap. I'm not usually one to just go somewhere to sit down and have a beer but I'm really glad I did here. read more
