    Huge fire pit
    Valerie A.

We went here in the freezing cold, and it was still a delightful experience. I love that at every table has a fire focus, and they had a big bonfire going with plenty of eating around it despite it being unbelievably freezy out, there were still several carts open I personally picked out on the tandoori, chicken which I would give a 10 out of 10 every time and if you're feeling special, treat yourself to some garlic naan. I did not retain the name of the cart, but there's only about 10 there and only one has torn Dory chicken so I'm sure you'll find out. We also went to the only Hispanic truck there and we got three soap and a cucumber pepino water. The Hispanic food was pretty high priced. In my opinion the three Lopez and two drinks was $30. It is about the whole experience so it was worth it in their flavors or obviously solid and the salsa red or green is extremely flavorful. It is food card so you will be serving yourself, you go to the car you want or your food pay at that time and they give you a beeper to collect the food when it's ready.

If you don't know how great it is, it's because you haven't tried it. It's what you being in that you feel so the energy is your responsibility! Cheers!

Parking is tight and limited but if you get there early enough it's not impossible. Plenty of seating outdoors and some indoors. You got some outdoor seating under a covered patio for those rainy PNW days along with a tabletop fire place burners for those cozy winter nights! Summertime they also put out umbrellas for the tables to protect you from those super sunny days! Clean bathrooms indoors from my experience and they also have additional porta potties outside. Qr codes on every table so it's easy to order and drinks come out pretty quick. Food trucks have come and gone since it's opening but there's a few solid ones still here like the sushi truck, Veggie Bowl (delicious), Kura Thai and The Verdict has a food truck out here as well! Overall there's something for everyone although we'll miss Walter French. Drinks I've had, have been amazing except maybe the maitai (tasted to coconutty, I hate coconuts!) Other then that all the cocktails I've ordered have been delicious. Bartenders know their stuff! It's a full bar with plenty of beers on tap. Family and leashed dogs friendly. It does get loud with traffic and the train right next to it. Some nights they have live music and singers performing. Also on the premises is Celtic Ax where you can throw some axes. I haven't partaken in the ax throwing activity so i can't review or give pricing on it but looks fun. Overall it's a fun environment to grab some food and drinks while catching up with friends and family.

    Chris Baron singing, "Redemption"

I came here to see an awesome musician (Chris Baron) perform. He played outdoors, so that I where I sat. Outside, there are MANY picnic tables, each with its own tabletop propane fire pit, with glass frames protecting patrons from the flames. This was a really nice touch, especially with that particular night being somewhat rainy, cold, and windy. The outdoor tables are covered, too, so all but those at the outermost periphery will remain dry during rain. There are several food carts in the outdoor area as well, so diners have plenty of options. The main building has many tables and restrooms, as well as a full bar. There is at least one variety of kombucha on tap for those who do not drink alcohol. Why only three stars? There are a few major drawbacks: 1. The outdoor area is right off of a relatively busy street, so if you're here to listen to music, it will be regularly interrupted by loud vehicles passing by. 2. The parking lot is very tight and very small. There are far too few parking spaces for the number of customers Corner 14 can accommodate, and ingress and egress is difficult

    Spicy Chicken Sandwich
    Saunta A.

A group of friends and I came here for trivia night on Tuesday. We were excited for all of the many food truck options. Unfortunately the sushi truck was closed, but I ended up getting a spicy chicken sandwich from Ali Hot Chicken and absolutely loved it! One of my friends also got their Nashville burrito which they really liked. I tried out a few of the drink options from the bar. You can order drinks with a QR code and they'll bring the drink to your table. The peach cobbler whiskey sour was okay, but I wouldn't order it again. I also ordered a French 14 which didn't necessarily match the photo on the menu but it was strong and good. Lastly, I ordered a lavender's bee knees (my favorite of the night) which was a classic summertime gin drink. The area was clean and family friendly. I look forward to coming again!

    Ahsoka enjoying the patio.

Great food and so many options at the food carts! Our pup was able to dine with us and she loved the attention!

Really neat food cart pod in Oregon City! Lots of carts, lots of outdoor seating both covered and uncovered, and a beer and cocktail bar with indoor seating. They also have axe throwing and events like live music. Great place for friend groups to meet up. Bring your pup to the dog-friendly patio seating. The small gravel parking lot can get crowded so drive safely!

This has steak and onions inside I believe with maybe some cheese I can't remember now I was in heaven eating it. It was so delicious.

We were visiting family in the area and had two people in our group local to the area who had been there several times in the past. We first went and checked in and were told there was a 10-15 minute wait. The hostess was very kind, took our number and sent us to the upstairs bar to wait for a table. We were greeted by a friendly bartender who took our drink orders (cocktails and wine) and we enjoyed our beverages while chatting by the bar. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with large velvet green booths, all new, updated and well done. The drinks were all great. The downstairs hostess came upstairs to let us know our table was ready, and we paid and went downstairs. So far, we were all really happy with our experience. The prices of the drinks were all around $15-20+ but we were all okay with it given the good service (thus far), high end atmosphere, etc. There were people in there but it was a pretty mellow Saturday evening. We were given a nice large area to sit and thanked the hostess. The waitress came and was clearly a little overwhelmed but took our drink orders. I mentioned a drink my husband had upstairs and asked if I could have it, but was told they had a different menu down here and I needed to order from that menu. I looked it over while the others ordered their drinks, and when she came back to me, I asked if I could go upstairs to order the drink I wanted, and bring it down. She said sure. I put in an order for a couple food items with her, and she left. My brother in law kindly offered to go upstairs and order the drink and was gone for quite a long time. We learned that when he was upstairs, he went to the bar and mentioned I wanted a drink from his bar. The bartender's mood shifted and he said he had 10 drinks ahead of my BIL, and asked him to go downstairs to order. My BIL informed him he was told the downstairs bar didn't have the ingredients, and was sent up here. The bartender was annoyed and asked my BIL to go downstairs for 10 minutes and come back again to order. My BIL replied that he was happy to wait at the bar instead and took a seat. After a long while, the bartender curtly said that my BIL would have to pay for the drink up here, which my BIL of course agreed to. My BIL said it was very uncomfortable and the bartender was being rude (a couple sitting at the bar also mentioned this). We are guessing he was overwhelmed and didn't handle it well. He brought the drink downstairs, no problem. We were all sitting for a while and noticed that my BIL never received the beer he ordered from the waitress downstairs. And after about 45 minutes I asked about the food I had ordered (she hadn't checked in with us at all during that time, and I should mention it was not busy at all - several tables open). The waitress said she forgot to put it in. That was it. No offer to quickly put it in, no offer to comp a drink, no real apology. We asked for the bill and split it between two cards. When we got the receipts and cards back, my husband found they had given both him and his brother (the other payer) copies of my husband's receipt-so he assumed he was double charged. He went to the front to bring this to their attention and explained how he was upset by the poor service throughout the evening. He received a quick response that they had printed the receipt twice (didn't charge twice) and were short staffed that evening. We are all understanding people and my sister in law ran restaurants for years, we all had food service jobs and are sympathetic but really just disappointed in this place. I'm writing this review because the employees there just didn't seem to care about the issues we raised. They had an acoustic artist playing that evening who was phenomenal. If you go there on a different day with different staff, I'm sure you'd have a great time. But for the price and ambiance, we really expected better service.

Verdict Bar & Grill in Oregon City is a really cool whiskey bar with a speakeasy-style atmosphere,…read moregreat drinks, and seriously impressive bartenders. I stopped in recently to pick up a to-go order and ended up sitting at the bar for a drink while I waited. I was greeted right away when I sat down and given a food menu. The place was completely slammed, but the two bartenders were absolutely dialed in. They were mixing signature cocktails, pouring wine, draft beer, and spirits nonstop while still checking in with guests. Watching them work was impressive -- the focus and efficiency looked more like professional mixologists than typical bartenders. The space itself has a great vibe. You enter from the 8th Street door and it feels like stepping into a hidden basement speakeasy. The interior is dimly lit with a huge illuminated whiskey wall. The bar is centered in the room with booths along the outside, making it a really cool date-night spot. While waiting for my food I ordered a Fort George City of Dreams Hazy IPA, which was cold and fantastic. As soon as I saw the cocktail menu though, I immediately regretted not ordering one of their house drinks -- the 8th Street Margarita looked especially good. I also noticed that all the whiskey drinks coming out had these beautiful crystal-clear 3" ice cubes, which is a great touch and shows they take their cocktails seriously. I originally came in because I've been ordering the Buffalo Mac & Cheese from their food cart about once a month for the last few years. Their Oregon City cart recently closed, so this was my first time getting it from the bar. My to-go order took about 30 minutes, which was totally understandable given how busy the place was. The staff stayed friendly and attentive the whole time. The Buffalo Mac & Cheese was still very tasty. The macaroni was great with a creamy cheese sauce and good buffalo flavor throughout. The chicken tasted like it may have been frozen at some point and was a little chewy compared to the crunchier chicken I remember from the food cart version, but overall the dish was still really good and something I'll definitely order again. Great atmosphere, skilled bartenders, solid food, and a really unique whiskey-bar vibe in Oregon City. Next time I come back I'm definitely sitting down and ordering one of those cocktails. Tip: Sit at the bar if you can -- watching the bartenders craft the drinks is half the experience.

Our food was NOT great let alone, ok! I ordered the shrimp scampi/risotto dish. It came with a side of garlic bread. My husband ordered the lemon capered chicken and my daughter the smash burger. My food and my husband's food tasted like I was eating CREAM OF SALT with garlic and the bread was even more salty. He was starving and just ate it, I only got through about half. It was so salty. My daughter said her burger was dry and tasted weird. She didn't finish it. Her fries were good. We didn't complain. We were hungry and uncomfortable being squished up like that. I just wanted to be done with the whole experience. I won't say that I'll never be back. I understand that chefs and restaurants staff are human and mistake like over salting a dish can happen. Prior to this past weekend, hadn't had a problem with food, staff or seating. However, I do hope someone in management/ownership sees my review so improvements/changes can be made. Not only with the dishes that are being served to paying customers but the seating arrangements upstairs. Those tables and chairs are far too squished together.
