I would normally pick a part anything I eat for a review to give you any little thing that may be wrong. However, there was nothing wrong here. I had the Philly cheesesteak brisket, and it was delicious, smoky tender, salty, and flavorful the baguette that it was on was so soft and yummy. The garlic Parmesan fries were also amazing and they gave you a ton of food. I ended up eating my brisket sandwich for three different meals. And you can get a six dollar corndog with a big piece of sausage in the center so that's pretty cool too. The staff is amazing the environment and ambience is very fun and everybody was having a great time. This will be our new neighborhood joint for sure. read more

I lived a long time in Texas. So I am partial to Texas style Hill country barbecue. The meat is smoked, well cooked, and wet. This is the absolute best Texas style barbecue brisket in Portland. I am continuing my quest to make that statement a lie, but as of right now, this is the best. I can't say how good this brisket is. It's stupid good. It's a lovely little taproom in West Linn, the service was good, The bar was clean, it really was just a top-notch experience. We love going to Nineteen 33. The atmosphere is casual and great for meeting up with a friend or bringing the whole family. Staff are welcoming and great at checking in with you. Parking can be hit or miss. It's a smaller restaurant so sometimes you have to wait for a table. My hubby and I love the salads there. They have great options on tap to choose from and will let you sample something if you are debating between a few choices. Staff are great at making suggestions and giving honest feedback. The kid's menu has a lot of great options. My kids like going there and more importantly they normally eat all of their meals (or close to it). read more

I had the portobello sandwich with grilled onions and arugula, and it case with a choice of one side. The side salad was fresh and tasty. TLDR: If you're in the mood for some comfort food and the single best bbq in all of Oregon don't think, just come here. (20+ years living in Texas and 4+ years in Oregon trying to find some god damn good bbq). My buddy and I were just traveling through and came across this place. The portions are very big, but the quality of the food will have you willingly putting yourself in a post Thanksgiving food coma. Every sauce is made in house, and the flavor is absolutely immaculate. We ordered the wings (Asian Fire and Passionfruit Habanero), Brisket Sandwich, Cheesesteak Samdwich, and garlic Parmesan fries. In the past I usually wouldn't vibe with this type of cuisine but I'm glad I tried it when I did. We ordered their Mac and cheese with added fried chicken and the Reuben with Caesar salad to go. The Reuben had a great portion of protein that wasn't too fatty and was tender. Flavors were great but only complaint consists of the sandwich outside being incredibly greasy. Not too salty and quality mustard on the side. Caesar dressing was fun to dip the sandwich in and the fried chicken from the mac and cheese. I ate the Caesar plain and no complaints with it. Mac and cheese portion was generous and solid. Service isn't the best, we had to wait awhile to be taken care of and it almost seemed like they were annoyed we were there. read more

5 Stars Again! An Absolute West Linn Gem 1933 is hands-down my favorite restaurant in West Linn. They have the best beer selection around and the staff is always incredibly friendly, cool, and helpful , the kind of crew that actually makes you want to come back. The food? Easily some of the best in the area. I've had the cheesesteak, brisket tacos, brisket sandwich, all fantastic, but the real showstoppers are their 30-day dry-aged ribeye and dry-aged New York. Seriously next level. Perfect flavor, perfectly cooked, and honestly some of the best meat you'll find anywhere in town. I've eaten at pretty much every restaurant on the main strip, and 1933 is the only one I keep coming back to. It's a true hidden gem in West Linn and absolutely worth checking out. On this Sunday afternoon, there was ample on-street parking, along the main street. The ambiance as we first entered was that of your typical Pacific Northwest restaurant/bar...Clean with that woodsy feel. This establishment is kid-friendly as we saw two separate families dining. The customer service was friendly and cordial as we were greeted immediately by one of two staff members as we entered. They both worked the room in harmony by taking orders, pouring drinks, running food orders out and bussing tables. They both checked on us frequently, which was great. For food, my wife ordered a Kale Salad and I ordered a Cheeseburger with Fries. The Kale Salad order was huge and my wife throughly enjoyed it. For my Cheeseburger, it was good, but nothing great...it did go very well with my Left Coast Brewing Peanut Butter Stout. We will stop again here, when visiting the area. read more

A fun little local hang out! While the indoor space is small it feels cozy and not cramped when the seats are filled. The serving staff was wonderful and took great care of checking on us when our beers got low without hovering over us. The burger was massive and the fries generous! It all tasted amazing but I ended up fork and knifing the burger it was so big. The patty is hand formed and juicy even when cooked all the through. I hadn't been through West Linn in several years and was surprised by how much it's changed. One new place i noticed was the Nineteeen 33 Taproom. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in to see that it was quite busy. Always a good sign. They had a big selection of beers along with a full bar. Having troubles trying to decide what to eat as everything looks great, is always a great problem to have. I decided on their Fried Chicken Sandwich. This is a large piece of hand breaded chicken, pickles, mayo, slaw, and what I assume is a brioche bun along with their garlic parmesan fries. I was surprised by how large the portions were. This was certainly one of the heaviest friend chicken sandwiches I've had. Aside from maybe a little too much mayo, this sandwich tasted amazing! This chicken was fried perfectly, the soft bun, and large pickles all balanced together perfectly. The garlic parmesan fries were fried perfectly! They stayed crunchy throughout my entire meal. This never happens! The service here was great as well. Our waitress checked back with us regularly and was pleasant. Maybe the only thing that didn't quite do it for me was the ambience. I found myself wanting something a little different. Perhaps just a little darker. That would by my only reason for giving this place four stars instead of five. However, like I said earlier it was busy, which I always love. The food was amazing, and the service was great. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here again.
