We chose to go forward with our bathroom floors anyway. The installer arrived showed us the flooring which we approved. He then asked if he was supposed to remove the existing tile, which we told him yes. IOW he had no previous instructions as to what he was supposed to do except install flooring. He proceeded to do the work and was very diligent about the job. After installation the new flooring looked fine except adjacent to the master bath shower where the grouting and sealing was obviously not correctly done. Repairs attempted by the firm have been insufficient and poorly done. We continue to have water leaking out of the shower onto the new floor at the shower door. The door sweep was damaged during the installation and the firm has refused to make repairs to keep the water from leaking and going under a transition they installed where we must presume mold will begin to grow. Their reason for not repairing it is "we didn't work on the shower". Their 100% lifetime warranty is nothing but writing on paper. Stay away from them!!

As three-time repeat customers, we trusted them based on our previous experiences and never expected this level of poor workmanship, excuses, and complete lack of customer service. From the beginning, this project was filled with delays and mismanagement. We dealt with weeks of pushed-back timelines and excuse after excuse -- flooring that was "forgotten" and never ordered, workers being unavailable, and even our scheduled installation date apparently being forgotten. The lack of organization and communication was shocking. But the delays were nothing compared to the quality of the work. The stair tread replacement was absolutely unacceptable. The treads were uneven, the corners were poorly finished and not properly mitered, and the overall craftsmanship was nowhere near what anyone should expect from a professional flooring company. They also were extremely rough with the removal of the exisiting floor and damaged numerous baseboards, door frames, and walls. Our biggest mistake was trusting their word and paying in full after being promised they would make things right. Once they had our money, the urgency disappeared. Instead of ordering the correct wood to match the flooring, they attempted to piece together mismatched boards and pass that off as an acceptable solution. When we refused to accept a patchwork repair, we were told the owner would personally look into other options. That was the last we heard from them. No follow-up. No solution. No accountability. We finally hired another company to tear out their work and start over. What they found was unbelievable -- pieces of CARDBOARD had been shoved and glued underneath the stairs as part of the installation. Cardboard. Under professionally installed stair treads. Our new contractor was able to install level, properly finished treads on the exact same existing structure, but only after spending hours scraping away the excessive adhesive, rubber, and cardboard left behind. After being loyal customers and trusting this company with multiple projects, this experience was incredibly frustrating. The most disappointing part was not just the poor workmanship -- mistakes happen. It was the unwillingness to take responsibility, communicate, or stand behind their own work. Please learn from our mistake: do not pay in full until every detail is completed and inspected. A company's true character is not shown when everything goes right -- it is shown by how they respond when something goes wrong.
