I cannot say enough about this clinic. So many wonderful people, especially Peggy and Gina! My David became very very ill and subsequently passed away in 2019. My father passed away the same day my dog passed away. The compassion and love that was given to me, especially from Peggy was absolutely amazing! It made my loss a bit easier. Happily in January 2020 my little Max was born and subsequently I picked him up from my breeder in March 2020! Of course, I brought him to Archer Veterinary Clinic to make sure everything is OK with him and we continue to come back to this fantastic place where my dog is loved cherished, and so well taken care of! Love you, Peggy, and of course the entire staff, and not to mention, of course Dr. Sedar who has been our go to veterinarian for so many years! I could not imagine going any place else than to Archer Veterinary Clinic!

    Ear Crop

Dr. Johnson did an amazing job on my Doberman's ears. Drove all the way from Waukegan IL to get his surgery done and I will recommend this place to everyone for ear cropping. Thank you Archer Veterinary Clinic!!!!!! -Mendoza Family

Here is your proof Archer Vet. I did have an appointment unlike your system is showing.

Use to take all my dogs here, thought I'd give them another try. Absolutely not. Had an appointment yesterday but called to reschedule, and they claim I never had a Friday appointment. I have proof that I had an appointment via automated text messages and they claim I had no appointment. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE. Staff is rude and I'm not one to go online and rant but I've never been treated so poorly. The girl goes in the back and brings another lady to the front and she has the audacity to say "is there a problem here?" Yes, there is. I had an appointment and you're claiming I didn't when I have proof of it.

This is the only place we trust to have our dogs ears done. We've had our three bullies ears done here and they've all turned out amazing. They're always quick to respond or call back if you need to schedule an appointment or have any questions. We drive over two hours just to bring our boys here.

I took my Dobie for her scheduled appointment with Dr. Johnson to remove a very large skin tag, teeth cleaning and shots. As always, I completely trust to leave my dog in their care. Returned 5 hours later to take my dog home and she looked as good as expected. The team was very thorough with my dog's after care instructions. I travel a distance to see Dr. Johnson and it is worth it. If you need an expert on Dobermans, meet Dr. Johnson.

I came in with my baby when we had an emergency, canela(my baby) was not in their system as we've never been in that clinic before. But as soon as we got there, we were immediately helped and even if the situation was complicated and stressful, everyone was so kind. The veterinarian was a super kind man who managed to squeeze us in and he did all he could for Canela. The nurses were so nice, especially the one who was there with me, when I was with Canela in the back room table, even though there were little words spoken, i felt comforted. Throughout my whole experience there, i felt like they actually cared for my puppy, they weren't doing it to just do it, they actually cared.... it's hard to find that now a days. Anyways, sorry for this long review but overall they are great and caring people and i'm glad they were there in our time of need. Thank you guys!

I called Archer Vet and they gave me instructions to get my dog to vomit using a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide.

But the last time I went in to get a simple thing done - my dog's nails cut, I was astonished at the actions of the owner. My dog is fearful of getting her nails cut, and often cries out during, but never has she tried to bite a person and or defecated while it was being done. The groomer (not the owner) was cutting my dog's nails when my dog started to cry out. When the owner came up to them she began yelling "stop it" at my dog, that was when I heard my dog starting to growl - unfortunately I did not see what the owner did also to cause my dog to defecate. She then took my dog off the table and embarrassed me by shoving her out the gate and claiming she could not cut her nails for fear of giving my dog a heart attack. No apologies, no advice on maybe what I could do next time to calm my dog down beforehand, no suggestions whatsoever. I basically felt kicked out of the store because she didn't know how to do her job. I did not appreciate it. I have never written a bad review before, but this was too much. The problem I had with this was one: she was telling the other groomer to get another muzzle and apparently having two small dog muzzles available for use at one time was too much for this business to think about in advance. When talking to the other groomer, in front of many customers, she was yelling at her to do things. "Barking" orders, if you will. Not only does she manage to be unprofessional to customers, but to her employees as well. Two and mostly: For as long as this woman has had her business around in Lemont, I would think she would have had the experience to know how to keep a dog calm while cutting nails or just basically know how to handle an animal. Does she do this with every animal that doesn't behave perfectly? What does she do to the animals when the owner isn't around? It seems this woman may be in the wrong business that a fearful dog crying out would send her into such stress. I would think she would act like she wants to keep her business and not scare away customers with her yelling, her unprofessionalism, and her basic lack of ability. I really do hope this is an isolated incident. I would hate to know that others' animals and the owners themselves are being treated this way. But after my dog and myself being treated this way at this establishment, I would highly advise going to another groomers.

I have taken my dog to Critter Cleaners three times and was charged a different price each of the three times, which is the only negative I find there - she has always been nice and personable and seems to do well with my dog.

Pretty sure it was due to superior breeding skills of Ruta. Mama wouldn't feed but Ruta bottle fed both and was their world until we adopted them. She has a beautiful environment for her very special babies . You will not find the blue eyes these boys had just anywhere. They both were sired from special himi's she bought and brought from a breeder in Spain. If you want to show, she will have babies that will take your breath away. My family was replacing a Persian and seal pt himmie that had passed of old age. I adored those as well, but the 2 from Ruta, just more than you could hope for if you just want them as a family member. The amount we paid, very reasonable for the love and beauty of these kitties! Again, Ruta is amazing and treats all her kittens like her human babies. We talked for hours and she even helped us to learn how to bathe them and was a trip back to her gorgeous home. Knowledge of this breed, fortitude to make sure kittens come into this world pampered and loved, Ruta is just an amazing person as well as breeder. You CAN'T find the love she puts into her babies just anywhere! Thank you Ruta, our boys are still the beautiful babies you brought and nurtured into this world! Oh, and No problems what so ever with their health!
