Today I visited Archery Connection of Columbus Ga. Upon arrival I was greated by a gentleman named Steve . As we stood and discussed what I was visiting for he explained all my options as far as products. He did not try to sale me on the most expensive product but yet he sold me on what he felt was all I would need to accomplish what I was seeking. After talking for a while he then took me into range and showed me how the product worked. Not once did I feel pressured on a purchase. Upside: Atleast they know what they are doing. Downside: if you didn't buy the bow from them, you will most likely be overcharged. Called them detailing what I needed and asked for pricing, drove an hour and a half, to find out it would cost me double. 5 minutes of work for them, which equates to two twist of a cable, and I'm out double what I was told on the phone. If you are wanting a Pro Bow Shop, this is your place. This is a family owned business and have been in Archery business 50+ years. Very knowledgeable staff and will not over pressure you to buy something you do not want. If they don't have it they can get it. I have bought new bows from them every year for the last 11 years. (I like keeping up with technology) My newest purchase is the PSE Carbon Air. Waiting on a special sight I ordered which should be in tomorrow. They just had a Customer Appreciation sale with deals too good to be true - but they were. As per an earlier post with a two star rating - they don't take in used bows and if you didn't buy it from them, it is only reasonable that you pay for service. Started doing business with them in 2017. Two place their sticker on my truck window for a small discount, was told I would continue to receive this discount. I went in today to Purchase some vapple products which they didn't have what I've been using at the register was giving the price and asked if I had been given my discount for my sticker I was told that we have to go outside and look at the vehicle I had to do that one time last year now I can't get the discount and less they go out to see it on my vehicle because I was driving another vehicle I don't get my discount. My issue is not with the money the discount was very small my issue is they are willing to lose a customer over this when they had it on there in the register last year and never had to go back outside to look at it again. I will be finding a new supply for a vapple and all my other hunting needs as well as removing the Archery connection sticker from my truck!!!!! read more

my first time using a bow and purchased a parker bow from them, they did all the adjustments and i get one week of free practice time with life time adjustments on the bow i purchased. they adjusted my bow while teaching me to use it on the practice range plus i also got some advice from a few customers that were there. Terrible service! Dropped my bow off there for new string/cables and not only did I not get new string/cables, but my draw length was changed, arrow rest was crooked, poundage was down, rubber draw stop was missing and peep was loose and crooked. I prepaid for strings and cables and my bow came back all jacked up with my old string and cables! I even called the owner and said to him that he may have gotten my bow mixed up with someone else's and I would like a refund and he said no. I spent almost $100 there and didn't get what I paid for, nor a refund. Terrible service! read more

We have had nothing but great service every time we have been. I have purchased two bows there last year and have been very satisfied. As to the archery talk stream though it has a lot of good streams at the end of the day it is opinions just like here. You should always shop before you purchase and decide for yourself. I felt their prices were reasonable on bows and their crew was very helpful. If you don't ask what it cost before you get service don't cry at the cost. I loved the small business feel and know how important it is to support local shops. So go check them out they are worth the time. And if you are military they give you free range time once a week. read more

I recomend you look at the forum's on Archery Talk (a great web site BTW) first. I certainly had a bad experiance there but so did a large number of other archers. I measured from the string and they measured from the knock, bottom line is, they showed up 1/4" to long. But that is way better than a 1/4" to short . So after I fletched them I figured I would go down to the Archery Conection to get them trimmed a 1/4". I have recently returned from deployment and have not had a chance to get by there and see the place. The staff was friendly and I asked them to cut my arrows for me. I failed to ask what they charged for doing so and I acept resposibility for it. The best lessons learned are the hard ones. So I walked around, looked at the ranges, talked to a few other guys there shooting and then grabed my arrows and headed for the register. WOW $24 to cut my arrows . HOLY COW!!!!!!!! At $2 per arrow it added up fast. I should have figured it would be high when the guys in front of me were paying for their range time and it came to $51.00. The lady was telling them to come back for the barn shoot, that it would be fun and the guys in front of me only stated that they couldnt afford to shoot there . I found $24.00 to cut a dozen arrows outragous. In fact Eders.com charges $5 a dozen and if you measured wrong like I did then you could take them to Dicks Sporting Goods and they will cut them at $1 and arrow. Thats $12, half of what this place charged. When I commented how high that was the lady started on with how "when you buy arrows from us you get custom arrows.......they are all done custom...." then she realized that I bought then ellsewhere. That spured the conversation into "well you cant please everyone". Man my jaw darn near hit the floor!!!! With customer service like this and prices so out of control (guess there trying to pay the mortgage with each sale) The good news is in about another half a year we can all go there and get some good prices on their going out of buisness sale. read more
