Bought a f150 back in December 2018 Everyone was very nice. Turns out it was just the run of the mill sales team ploy. Our sales person Jennifer was good and i left a positive review at that time. Now 6 months later the truck has 6000 miles on it and not to happy with it. Average fuel milage is 16.7 mpg sticker says 19mpg thats 13% less than sticker. The security system is a piece of crap and defaults to all sensors, inside and out. My dog sets off the alarm constantly. The auto start/stop is a totally bad idea. Engine Shuts off at red lights and restarts when you take you foot off the break peddle. The future service bills will far out weigh the few pennies you may save in fuel. Total joke.! Transmission seams to shift harder than expected. All i get from Jennifer and dealership is sorry your not happy with your new truck. Should have bought a chevy read more

We took our truck in to get blower motor fixed. We told them what the problem was, yet they still tried to charge a diagnostic fee. The service guy told us they ordered the part- then a week later was told by a different service man that they had just diagnosed that it needed a new blower motor and would order it. They backed into our truck with another truck while it was there - they buffed out where it was hit and washed that spot only. Didn't even wash the rest and never even apologized. They disconnected the wind shield wiper while repairing it and didn't fully reconnect it. So it blew off when we went down the road. Horrible shop experience- will Never use them again!!! read more

Worst Dealership in the state and that says a lot! They are misleading and do not tell you all the information. They rush you signing paperwork and "explain" to you what you're signing but are not completely honest! We had a flat tire at 5k miles and they made us buy a new tire and offered zero help. So this dealership is a ghost town, no customers in sight... I drive up to test drive a f150 and you'd think they would be happy to entertain a potential customer. But the first thing they tell the sales kid to tell me is that " they don't like to give test drives unless a deal is going to be made"......i already made up my mind at that moment that they will not get my business... But I took their vehicle for a test drive anyway and confirmed thats its the vehicle I will be purchasing. Just not from them. Sales kid Connor was great, the dealership manager was terrible. I would recommend going anywhere else in town to get a vehicle. they are more interested in keeping their vehicles than selling them. the service shop is great for getting anything fixed but purchasing is a joke. sales manager doesn't care to talk to the person actually purchasing a vehicle and low ball your vehicle that other places are willing to pay what you want. We just bought our second F150, and third pick-up truck from Joel at Archie Cochrane Ford dealership. We have thoroughly enjoyed doing business here with Joel over the past six years. He is a great person and an honest salesman who is interested in helping his customers in any way that he can. When we first met him he went above and beyond helping us secure a rental vehicle when we had just been wandering around their sales lot. Due to his kind assistance, when we actually were ready to look for a vehicle he found just what we needed in no time at all. That purchase lead to us returning when our needs changed and we bought a new F150 truck a little over a year later. Here we are five years later the fortunate owners of another new F150. He contacted us to see if we might like to take a look at the current inventory and see if we might like to upgrade. Coming to take a look at a new truck is like just "taking a look" at a cute puppy. I was so excited to get my 2023 Area 51 Ford F150 in May of 24. The salesman even delivered it to my town 90 miles away. While it is a very comfortable, smooth riding pickup, I am dismayed at the wind noise that occurs in the drivers side window anytime I'm traveling at highway speeds and the wind is blowing (a usual occurance.) I am also sad that in the six months that I've had it, I have had two flat tires. In the 12 years that I owned a GMC Acadia, I was never stranded with a flat. For the price we are paying, I expect better tires. Now, I'm fearful of travelling alone even though I have a nearly new pickup. A third disappointment is the automatic update that knocked out my Sirius radio reception. I live in a virtually dead radio area and I loved having Sirius. We took it in for repair, and while the technicians were very friendly and knowledgable, it did not get repaired. Usually one can at least hear the sirius channel advertizement channel even if you do not have a plan. Finally, I noticed a dark spot on the garage floor where I've been parking. I'm told it is just condensation from exhaust, but really! I only have a little over 6000 miles on it! I guess I'll not be choosing Ford products in the future. read more

Bought a 2021 Ranger and after only 2years and 4000 miles the dealership and Ford motor company will not repair rust in the wheel wells. I understand that in some climates rust happens but in Montana and only 4000 miles the vehicle should be better protected and when there is a bumper to bumper warranty there should be no problem to get it repaired but it was denied. I have had several Fords and have always been happy with them but when I buy brand new I expect a little better quality so I think I will have to seriously look at the other brands on my next new purchase. read more

so my wife and I had taken our Ford Escape in for a diagnostics check originally at the beginning of April. Before we took our car in we had realized that our battery was shot so we recalled to say that we would scratch the diagnostics and just replace the battery thinking it was just that and because we needed to stay a little tight with our money. We did that dropped it off the 9th and when we went to pick it up my car had stalled out on me after pulling out of their parking lot. When I had returned it Zach in the service department had told us that he would make time for it that following week to get the diagnostics done since it stalled out after the battery change. That was April 9th it is now April 16th they have not looked at my car again and Zach has deliberately been avoiding my calls sending me to his assistant or just taking a note, the only thing we had gotten was a voicemail from Zach saying how he was actually going to way until May to look at our car. After that I got pretty frustrated because they changed my battery and when it stalled out. Got too frustrated so I called the service manager who turned out to be okay until Today. I had called again to see if he'd talked to Zach about the situation or anything and yet again we were hit with the "no I haven't had the chance to talk to Zach yet". I expressed my frustration on why I'm so adamant about our car being looked at and why Zach wasn't being talked to or held accountable for telling us he was pushing it back until May. After the short talk he told me to just come get my damn car and that they weren't going to move forward with it at all. I expressed my frustration with the customer service and how he started to be acting like Zach blowing us off. I'd asked to speak with a higher up and he LITERALLY said he wasn't going to let me speak to anyone else. by far the worst experience we have had with Archie Cochrane and the whole reason we took our Ford Escape there is because every other mechanic we went to couldn't figure out the problem. I have access through Ford to use the X plan. Archie Ford agreed to allowing the X plan on a Ford pickup. I spent 6 days getting financing, paper work done, bank information, loan details, X plan PIN information, send over sensitive information (drivers license pics), a ride to the dealer (200 miles one way) lined out, selling our own vehicle etc. Once the pickup was chosen, Archie Ford agreed on, I was on my way. On the way to the dealer, their finance manager called. They informed me that I needed to finance through them, purchased a "windshield protection" program, add a few other add ons and so on. I denied the services and add ons. I was then informed that they don't make money on X plan deals so I was required to purchase these. (Specifically on Fords site they inform X plan individuals that FORD does in fact pay these dealers for X plan deals and that customers are not required to pay a penny over what is printed out in the X plan paper work. No specials, no other required purchases, etc. Once nearing the dealership, I received a call back from their finance manager. He said that were going to walk away from the deal because they can sell the pickup significantly over MSRP and that losing one customer over an X plan deal wasn't significant. I then called back and asked for my personal information back. (Pic of ID). They said it was no longer available. What a shady dealership. Very money hungry. Once they realize you're not willing to buy into their gimmicks, tricks and other fees their attitude completely changes. Almost become hostile. Most that are happy with this dealer are uninformed and have been unknowingly suckered into paying these ridiculous "gotcha" fees. Buyers beware. read more

My 2019 Ford Escape has transmission problems so I took it to Archie Cochrane Ford in Billings. That was almost 3 months ago and they still can't get it fixed. It was moving OK when I took it in. I told them to put it back together and I would find another shop to work on it. Terrible service! They are trying to charge me to put it back together, but I told them no way was I going to pay it. It has dropped in value by $1,000 during the time it has been sitting it their yard. The transmission problems started just as it was going out of the 60,000 mile warranty. read more

I recently made the decision to buy a new Platinum F-150 after my second one was stolen out of my driveway in California. Looked high and low for the right model and features at a super price (given Covid19 issues!). I searched high and low and ultimately found the right F-150 at an amazing price - I also found the best car salesperson and customer advocate I've ever met. I was buying the truck from a 1000 miles away, and Jen walked me thru every detail - when we realized the one I picked was a short bed, she paused to search through inventory and find the one that had all my features AND the long bed. This truck has a bada$$ two tone color interior - she made sure it was what I wanted with photos before she considered the deal done. There were two add ins missing - the Linex bedliner and fender guards - she got them installed (and sent photos along the way) and ready for delivery when I arrived in Billing's to pick up my new ride. I'll be back to buy my next Ford from Archie Cochran - not for the price - but for the best sales and service that comes along with it! read more

She had the truck bed sprayed and we ordered a grill guard and tonneau cover which were installed and ready for us upon arrival from California. Just bought a 2016 Ford Focus from here a month ago! I was driving it and the engine is sputtering and then dieing. Engine light is on! I havnt even got my permanent tags on it yet. Then when I returned to pick up the part they acted like they didn't have a clue who I was. One of the guys got all irritated because the other guy ask him a question. Had a great experience purchasing a F250 Super Duty. Jeremy listened to our needs and showed us the vehicles we were wanting and ran through each one available according to our choosing. He took into account what we were looking for and showed us different options and let us decide. We ended up with a vehicle we needed within our budget with absolutely no pushing from him. Chris then went over our financial options explaining the good, bad, and ugly. Both gentlemen paid attention to detail and at no time pushed us in a direction according to their choosing. They are a credit to the Ford family and are the reason we chose Ford. This has been by far the absolute best vehicle purchasing experience we have had. So my wife washes the FOB for my pickup. The only one I have. I run all around town looking for one, no one has one. I go to Archie Cochran Ford in Billings and they don't have one and have no fix. I talk to the parts guy and to a technician. They are both baffled and have no suggestions. I asked them what I was supposed to do, because I couldn't drive my pickup at all with the security system armed. They out-right told me, "we are under no obligation to assist you!" We worked with Pam and Dylan, and between them, there's not too much I don't know about our new Explorer Sport. We even learned some new things about our '17 Escape. We were given a fair value for our trade-in, and the invoice price from which we were negotiating ended up being lower than the "X-Plan" we were eligible to use. We went in looking for a used truck. We were upfront about how much we were looking to spend and how much we thought we could handle for a monthly payment. Sales person completely ignored what we said and tried to push us into a truck that was outside our budget. When you clearly state how much you think you handle for a monthly payment and they come back with a payment breakdown the is over $100 above what you said you can handle, clearly someone isn't listening. He and his sales manager both tried to claim they were no pressure. That was a lie. They kept pushing and pushing. They went so far as to try to get us to sign a purchase agreement claiming it was routine paperwork. Of the 3 dealerships I dealt with, these guys were the worst. I will grant that the truck we test drove was nice. That is the only positive I can come up with. If it were possible to give zero stars or negative stars I would. read more

Finally! After decades of purchasing vehicles and dreading every second of it, I come across Archie Cochrane Ford and more specifically, Russell Palmer. I knew what I wanted. Trouble was finding one! Ford Raptor half tons don't grow on trees. These are easy vehicles to purchase because there's basically no bargaining. There in such high demand dealers just sell them at MSRP. The good side of this is no haggling. The bad side, one could argue, is the value vs. the vehicle... which I wouldn't argue against. But that's not the reason for the review. Russell was great. He posted up the 2013 Raptor online and I saw it. I emailed and texted Russell back and forth for a day or so, made a down payment to secure the vehicle, then drove it home a week later. I didn't have to sit in the dealership for hours going back and forth with the Sales Manager which is always a pain in the ass. "Here's your monthly payment"... God I hate that. Just tell me what the cost is and I'll get the money. Do people really negotiate on monthly payments? Magic Eight Ball says "Yes". The truck was washed inside and out (it was winter in Montucky and rigs get dirty in a hurry) plus a full tank of gas which I didn't even ask for. A sticker in the window reminds me when the first oil change is due and even has the phone numbers listed and the date to call. The truck? It's bad ass. Gas mileage is absolute crap, but hey, nobody purchases a Raptor for the gas mileage. Kudos ACF gang and Russell Palmer. read more

Purchased a 05 Colorado from Archie Cochran Ford. As soon as I signed the paperwork, I noticed after they washed the vehicle for me that the headlamps had significant moisture in them. After some battle with the sales manager (who stated that it wasn't his problem anymore because I signed the paperwork)- I pleaded with the service manager, who was able to fix the lights without any cost to me. The sales manager was extremely rude and not willing to stand by his vehicle- but the service manager went out of his way to help the day of the sale. The point here is that this argument should not have happened and the sales manager should have stepped up without argument. 6months later. the Cam Shaft, actuator, and about $3000 worth of repairs was needed to the engine. Archie sold me a Ford warranty and they gave me quite the run around because it is a Chevy truck- it was finally approved for repair. It's true, I don't know much about a vehicle- we rely on honesty and reputation of the dealership to ensure us a good vehicle... This dealership, I would not suggest as being honest or reputable. I would seriously rethink purchasing any vehicle from this place. You don't know what your going to get and what disasters await. Even from day one, it was a nightmare. Bring your mechanic and lawyer with you if you should go here. Best of luck. read more

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! I have a 2017 F 350 which is two months old and it's making a LOUD metal clunking sound almost as if a spring was breaking. I took it in and had them look at it for repair and their exact words to me were " we hear the noise, but we can't figure out what it is. We would have to spend thousands of dollars to try and figure it out. You can just come pick up your truck and I'd just keep an eye on it. " This is completely unacceptable!! When a customer spends 78k on a vehicle, it should last at least its warranty without having issues and I certainly don't expect excuses from a dealership telling me to just accept it and keep an eye on the problem. This dealership lacks ethics, morals and good old fashioned values of standing behind their product to give the customer what they paid for. I will NEVER step foot in this dealership again and I will be certain to steer others clear of making the same mistake I did! I bought a $32,000 C-Max with 51,000 miles. I went to the garage to take my sister to an oncology appointment and it wouldn't start. I called Archie Cochrane Ford service manager and my call was not returned. I had to get roadside assistance and it wouldn't start the next day. I've taking it to the Ford dealership at least 5 times for the same problem and they can't fix it. Buy anything but a Ford. read more

Absolutely terrible after the sale with a financing issue I was promised by the salesmen. I was made to feel like a liar and told I couldn't be trusted because they didn't know me. The salesmen continually referred to me as "brother." He did not serve with me in the military nor is he my actual brother. Very unprofessional in my opinion. I spoke with 4 individuals about the issue and they basically told me to go fly a kite and that they trust their salesmen. If he misspoke and made a mistake he should atleast man up and admit it, but since I've never been to the dealership or met any of them.... and I never will, they said they believe him over me. Sent an email, and by the next morning I had an email and phone call from Jason. Highly personable, very friendly and NON-salesman'y; it felt like he was an old friend I'd known forever. He helped answer a few questions, made the purchasing process (across multiple states mind you) super straightforward, even went above/beyond in preparing the vehicle for the trip back home. I am shocked Jason Davis GM/Owner of Archie Cochrane Ford, promotes his award winning customer service on the radio. First Ford Motor Company took from August 2019 to January 2020 to receive a tailgate part (not available anywhere in America) to fix a 2016 F250 Truck. This was no fault of the dealership. The follow up I went through to find the part, the numerous calls to Ford Customer Care and Archie Cochrane and the fact I had to call to find out the part had arrived through Ford Customer Care, rather than the dealership calling me is frustrating. The dealings with the body shop manager, Brian, were less then prompt and accurate. I started leaving messages since 2/6/20, today is 2/19/20 for Jason Davis GM/Owner to express my frustration. On 2/11/20 I asked the receptionist if he was in the office, giving him the benefit of the doubt, he could have been on vacation. She said he was 2 buildings over and she would have no idea if he was in the office or not. Way to go that extra mile for the customer. Daizia at Ford Customer Care is willing to conference call with me, on my experience, when I finally connect with Jason Davis. I have connected with him twice. Once he feigned spotty cell service and said he'd call me back shortly on 2/7/20. No call back. Award winning customer service. I have left 7 messages (2 with people who said they would personally deliver the message, Tom and Brian). Yesterday 2/18/20 Jason answered the phone, I announced who I was and he hung up on me. If that was an accident, I have left my phone number 7 times. Still no call back. I told Brian the Body Shop manager, on 2/6/20 while meeting with him personally to express my frustration, that I haven't heard from Jason. Brian told me he is very busy. (Like I'm not) I am the customer (you know the one they receive award winning customer service for). Ford Customer Care has said my call log is lengthy and they sympathize with my frustration. I continue to report to Ford Customer Care that I have not heard from Jason. If you are not in there to buy a vehicle don't expect that award winning customer service. I am sorry, with all the body shops available in Billings, we chose to go with the Archie Cochrane Ford dealership. Lesson learned. When we purchase our next truck, if the issue isn't resolved to my satisfaction, I guarantee I will steer clear of this dealership and recommend everyone looking for a Ford Dealership to do the same. read more

My husband and I purchased a new F150 a few months ago. The truck is great and the salesman was terrific; however that day when we sat down with Chris in finance he indicated if we ever wanted to cancel the warranty and gap coverage to come back to him and he would get cash in our pocket, whereas most other places would apply the refund to the loan principal. We usually decline this coverage and the only reason we decided to is because of what he said. A few weeks ago we decided we would like to cancel the coverage and not only was Chris very slow to respond, he indicated he could only apply the refund to the principal. We then spoke to a manager, Mike, who not only said the same thing but was rude, unprofessional, and basically tried to talk us out of it by making us feel stupid. At no point did he apologize for any miscommunication or state he would talk to Chris to make sure he wasn't giving people the wrong impression or make any attempt to remedy the situation. After being in management for 20 years I can't imagine dealing with a customer that way. All we were asking is that the dealership honored its word and to be honest it seems that Chris is purposely lying to customers to sell warranties and earn a commission. I next reached out to Matt, another manager, and all he did was pass me off to someone that still hasn't contacted me. Obviously nobody cares about the customer so I wouldn't recommend buying here. read more

He was very good with providing us a range of options to meet our needs with features and the price point we wanted. His easy-going style and clear communication (including excellent listening skills) made him fantastic to work with. We highly recommend you ask for him to show you these amazing trucks. We took our 2015 Ford Focus in for issues it was having. We were told that the manufacture didn't put in a fuse and that replacing the missing fuse would solve the problem. They charged us $140 for a 3$ fuse that the manufacture didn't put in 4 years ago. This didn't fix the problem. We took it back 3 days later. The next part that they thought was the problem was on back order 4 to 6 weeks. We had to call Ford Corporate for assistance and we got our car back 12 days later for another 420$. The car was still not fixed and was worse than when we originally took it in. We were told we would get the 420$ back, but they wanted to put the old part back in and they would call us back. We didn't hear back for 24 hours, so we called them and they said a full refund would be mailed out that day or the next day. They did not mention anything about the part. We never received a check and left messages with the service manager. He never returned our calls. After the third day of calling, we were told that a check was mailed yesterday. 4 days later there was no check. We were finally able to reach the service manager and he said a check has not been cut because they were waiting to change out the part. They guarantee their work, but the first 140$ is not refundable because it was too long ago. They didn't fix the problem the first time and the car was back in 3 day but that was too long. Our car was correctly diagnosed from another mechanic shop in a couple hours, parts were shipped in, and fully repaired in 4 days. We seriously had a nightmare of an experience! read more

Took my F-150 in for The Works oil change with a coupon. Went to quick service. Friendly, professional workers. Work was done in a timely manner. Had to pay extra for 1 quart of oil. Coupon is good for 5 quarts, this engine takes 6 quarts. Everything else was ass expected. read more
