Okay, so I've waited a while to write this review because I wanted to see how the paint job would hold up. It has done alright for some spots but pretty bad for others. Let me explain. We bought an older weathered red cedar shingle home in the hills. The shingles were in some disrepair with ~10 or so missing but otherwise not bad. I got 6-7 quotes for staining the siding, all pretty close in price with varying descriptions of what products they'd use. We had wanted to cover up some of the wear on the shingles using a semi-transparent cedar toned KellyMoore stain along with a dark "Max Grey" for the trim. The look we were hoping for was a brighter wood tone siding offset by dark modern looking trim. We'd asked for a small test spot to be stained to see how it would look, though we were told they wouldn't be able to do that. I regret not stopping at that point and reconsidering who i was working with. In the end what we got was a dark brown home with peeling trim. Gabriel had said they would put two coats of stain on the house to ensure good coverage for the weathered shingles, however this seems to have left them deeply stained and really lacking any natural luster. I could forgive this oversight if it wasn't so incredibly frustrating to see such nicely stained cedar shingle homes all over the bay area. Really just not a good job. Additionally they don't caulk around doors and windows. Every other time I've had a home painted, this was standard. I'm new to CA, so maybe it's not standard here, but everywhere else this is needed to make sure the paint around windows stays intact and doest just fall off around old caulking. The trim is really what gets me though, and makes it so I needed to write this review. His crew kept trying to just paint over rotted and in some cases wet trim boards (they had pressure washed only a day prior). When I got the quote and Gabriel saw the home neither of us had noticed the damaged trim near my front door. I had found a small area of trim that needing replaced near my chimney which they charged $200 to replace with a warped piece of pine furring strip (I'm going to have to replace this though as it isn't nailed in well and has started to come off the house). After they had started scraping the loose trim paint however it became clear that some of the trim boards should been replaced. They however wanted to just fill these huge gaps with caulking. I asked them to use bondo and a wood hardener to make sure it would give a solid replacement, they told me they would use a wood putty and it would be fine. They were wrong. They had to come out 1-2 times to try and touch up the blistering and peeling paint in this area, ending up saying it was the best they could do. I finally just gave up and tore the trim out to redo it myself. I am very disappointed in the quality of work. Overall, the price was very reasonable, but the end results make me think I should have gone with someone else. TL;DR: Not good at house staining or dealing with minor wood rot on trim. read more

Amazing experience. I wish I had before and after pictures, but let's just say our house has had cracks on the outside stucco and the Walls inside since we bought it. The pant was different colors and with our kids getting older, we thought now was the time. Gabriel and his crew came in gave a very completive quote for the scope of work, and even did something we missed on inital walk thru. House looks amazing and it also forced us to clean out the kids stuff *bonus*. Overall, couldn't be happier with the crew and the company overall. Adding to my review again since Gabriel seems to think we did a final walk through. No one did a final walk through with me, Gabriel came out and told me he did the touch ups and picked up the trash so I gave him a check. I went out later and found all these other issues. Here's some more that I missed. There's white marks on my gray gutters I just bought for $4500 and told him not to paint. It's 17 feet in the air. There's 3 posts that hold up the overhang of my kitchen in my back yard, they painted 2 of them and left one unpainted. As far as coming back to fix it, you already came back Gabriel and you missed all of these things. Why would I want you back a 3rd time? Why didn't you do a walk through and check your guys work? Why didn't you ask me if I wanted to do a walk through with you to make sure everything was good. Bottom line don't hire this company, the work looks good at a glance until you see all the mistakes, broken things, overlapping of paint, paint spray and drips everywhere, big pieces of scraped off paint all around the house trash cigarette butt's left on all four sides of thehouse and and left over buckets of primer no one told me about in the backyard. I paid $8700 for this and it looks like I hired a handyman from Home Depot for $5000. I wish I could give less then 1 star. read more

Absolutely great experience with this company! We needed the whole house to be painted and some accent walls to be painted over like the rest of the house. Our rental property. First meeting for quote: Our house is in Pleasanton. I didn't realize he was coming in from Modesto but he showed up early to our 8:30am appointment which was greatly appreciated. He asked me questions, gave me very informed answers. Checked the texture of the walls. Overall the appointment for the quote was great! He said he would send me the quote via email as soon as tomorrow and it came as promised. It was very clear, detailed with exactly what I wanted and his quote came well below some other licensed painters I had made an inquiry to. After I agreed to the quote he sent me the contract for work which I was able to sign and we set the date. Gabriel contacted me early though because another job for exterior paint had to be delayed and he asked if I wanted the job to be done the very same weekend and I said yes! Unfortunately I was away for the weekend but I had someone else meet him with keys. The paint job came out fantastic! It was very well done, you can't even see the dark accent walls that were previously there, the baseboards and trim are a beautiful bright white and the rooms look so much better, I appreciate his expertise. They also patched up cracks in the walls! And best of all the whole job was done in a weekend. One of the other companies said it would take TWO WEEKS. Overall experience was great! I recently bought a 100 year old home- an old airplane craftsman home to be exact. I had reached out to a list of painters I found online and had quotes done by all of them. Some came in high, some came in low, but it wasn't about the money for me, it was about knowing who was going to be performing the work, and being able to hold them accountable - being able to trust them. Painting a house is expensive yes, but it's worth every penny. Not just because of the looks, but because of how the paint protects the wood and the walls and everything in-between. I chose Gabriel because he took his time to really look at the house and look at the work that needed to be done. He was very good about explaining to me the timeline in which it would take to complete the project as well as information about ways in which to protect a home like mine. My house has WINDOWS- LOTS AND LOTS OF OLD FASHIONED WINDOWS- and the windows have lots of wood details and partitions in them. It was definitely a LOT of work to complete. During the time of making my decision some of the things that stood out was the fact that Gabriel helped me choose my colors and also helped me understand the different types of paint and how each were different. I selected some pretty unusual colors for an old home like mine, but let me tell you I have had nothin but COMPLIMENTS on my home! The house has had a complete transformation. I will say on my garage we had some issues with the paint doing some weird stuff- but Gabriel did not hesitate to go back and find out what was causing the paint to do it and then completely fixed it. He's a man who stands behind his name and his word. He did not mind when I asked for things to be touched up or to be looked at again (I have a bit of OCD and want things perfect).
