They were supposed to do weed abatement in our front and side yard and lay down beauty bark. They put a skim coat of bark down and within a week we had a huge crop of grass pop up. Don't waste your time. I waited so long for an appointment. There's a lot of work to be done at my house. I asked them to start with irrigation repair and lawn removal (2 or 3 of them) and then replace the lawns with sod. Rob came out. Got the scope of work. He told me he would measure and send me a quote the next day, and the irrigation repairs would be hourly. Instead, I got a, "We're so sorry, we're too busy for you" email. I've wasted so much time and now I'm back to square one. read more

Since Facebook doesn't like me, I am also adding a review here. We hired Archterra to basically install a front yard for us. A task that simply overwhelmed us. We purchased a new build and were basically left with a "builders special" for a front yard. Not to mention that our house is essentially built on a slope. But basically, Archterra took our builder BS and made it a luxury landscape. Gabriel and his assistant made our front yard into an actual usable space that is beyond visually appealing. With the retaining wall and the synthetic turf, my daughter believes it is her own personal soccer practice area. My husband Fred died suddenly last year. My 1/2 acre lot needed leveling, numerous pavers front yard, & backyard were very uneven. I wanted low maintenance without a lawn or artificial turf. There was a drainage issue in the backyard and we had brought in lots of pea gravel. Pea gravel hard to walk on but good for drainage along with bamboo as a privacy screen in the backyard. It was important that I could walk easily to the backyard bird station & 2 sheds. Surprisingly, they work year round. A L&I Inspector visiting mentioned he always saw Archterra Landscaping trucks everywhere. I got 5-6 estimates months earlier & finally decided on Archterra based on their fair estimate, low maintenance ideas, bird bath/water feature, paths etc. They were here about 13 days with 2 people most of the time. I felt so relieved and happy that the landscaping was everything I wanted. Thanks to David, Nathan, Fernando, Max & Christian (?). David & Nathan were my prime team for most of the almost 3 week project. They started work early and worked hard every day. I will contact them for maintenance in the near future. We had our entire backyard done by Archterra. Ryan was the PM and was very helpful throughout the process. Prior to our estimate we had developed a landscape plan which included drawings, pics of other walkways and gardens we found on the internet that we wanted ours to look like. We wanted a pathway of flagstone and river rock that they hadn't done before. With only pictures to go by Ryan did a little research to get the right materials and his crew did an amazing job laying it out. The fence, albeit just a fence, was also done with great precision and care for the detail. We were very happy with the end product and recommend these guys. One note is to be prepared as much as possible. Do the research on what plants you want, how pathways or walkways and patios are laid out and done. The quality of work (based on previous customer reviews, pictures and description of materials to be used) and competitive price were the deciding factors. The owner was very tentative and available throughout the entire process. We had a substantial project that lasted a few months, the entire time the crews were great, always kept things clean and organized. We wanted to go with a local company in town as we the see the trucks around our neighborhood. In Jan 2021, we scheduled a bid for a retaining wall and two paver patios (front and back). The guy who showed up was friendly but either wasn't interested in providing a bid or just assumed we weren't serious about the project. He didn't take any measurements and ballparked us twice the range we got from four other paver companies. He said he would come back to measure and give us a bid but he never did. We went with a different company for the entire project and couldn't be happier and have been recommending the other company to all other neighbors, friends and coworkers. Boyfriend calls asking for a phone call back and we get a text saying he can't make it and wants to reschedule for sometime next weekend. No thank you Rob! We had them come in build us a fence and clean up a TON of bushes and shrubs. The place really started to come together. The clean up crew was done for the day and one more area to clean up and they never came back. Then we started noticing issues with the fence and the latches were coming apart even noticed they didn't use the right type of wood on the fence. We called numerous times trying to get a hold of Rob the owner but he never answers his phone or even bothered to return any of our phone calls. Months go by and one of the panels to the gate that opened up snapped apart and the whole thing came apart! So we gave it another shot of calling Rob and behold he finally answered. My husband was furious with him and his quality of work considering how much we spent on a brand new wood fence (450 feet) he told him he didn't want anything to do with him but just needed to know where he bought the latches from so we could get another set so it would match. I will never recommend this guy to anyone he's cheap won't come check in on his guys when they are doing work or do house calls when an issue occurs just a few weeks after being done. read more

When I told him what I wanted, he knew exactly what I was talking about, he takes pride in his work and workers, who are absolutely amazing! Every time they were done for the day, they cleaned up as if they had never been there. The rock wall is straight, level and clean. As well as the fence, slate, gate and steps are beautiful. I've spoke with the owner on the phone several different times trying to arrange someone to come over and give me an estimate on a complete backyard remodel. Figured it would quick and easy since I'm just a couple miles away. While I spoke with him several times, each time was anew. He said every time to email him from the website and he'll contact me. I have never heard anything back. I really was interested in using this company because they are only about 2 miles from my property. We had talked to several landscapers but never felt like we were going to get quality. We got that with Archterra.
