There were 6 of us sitting at a long table outside. I went inside and saw the fresh fish. Ialso saw a big hearth where they were cooking a whole fish. In front, they had mushrooms on display and explained them. We started by splitting the following dishes: Suppli al riso (good arancini- they are made with a red sauce) Olive ascolane (olives stuffed with meat). Not my personal favorite but others loved them. Carciofi giuda. This was good. We also kind of split/tasted each other's main dishes. The fish was awesome. The place is known for their mushrooms so I got the pizza. I LOVED the funghi pizza. I'd love to go back, eat that pizza again, and not share one bite!!!! The mushroom pasta was good too.

    Great waiter.

The food was wonderful. Nephew had the margherita pizza and I had fried calamari and prawns. We ordered fried cod for antipasto. The service was top notch. The wine was delicious-Chianti. The chocolate soufflé was scrumptious!! I would come here again. We sat outside at night and people watched. The outside seating was plentiful and delightful.

10 for the setting: Sitting outside and eating here felt like being in a post card. The ambiance couldn't have bee any more pleasant, with the exception of outlawing smoking (although very few people were lighting up). 7 for food: Solid, but not the best meal I had in Rome. The mixed grill was a big disappointment, but the pasta, pizza, bruschetta, and desert were all great. The porcini mushroom appetizer was absolutely amazing. 7 for price: Slightly on the expensive side, but not terrible for Rome. 4 for service: Our waiter was attentive and the food came out in a timely manner. *However*, he tried very hard to sell us the most expensive dishes on the menu AND then made sure to remind us THREE times that we should tip him. Those last two things were not cool, and we hadn't experienced either up to that point despite being in Italy for a week.

My mama cannot eat gluten. She gets ill. So we have to be careful. We went here because they had many grilled meat and individual sides that didn't have gluten. There was a mix of Italians and tourist. A few of the servers/managers spoke English. That was a big help due to my mom's allergy. Our food was quick. Service was friendly. The tables are outside so in October it can get a little chilly. For a touristy area, the prices seemed ok. I ordered the spaghetti Cacio e Pepe (Parmesan & black pepper). This is a Roman classic, and it was al dente. A bit boring for me, but I presume it's comfort food. My mom had rosemary roasted potatoes and grilled chicken. Everything was cooked well. My mom was very happy.

The food and service were great! We had the best lasagna and pizza! It's a little hide away, not too big, not too fancy, not too crowded, but completely worth it!

This is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants, we live about 200 meters away. The food is dependably good, the prices fair, especially considering how close it is to the piazza (one of Rome's main "living rooms"), and the people-watching spectacular. You have to try this place when you're in Trastevere.

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

Already depressed knowing we were returning to the cold and fearful Minneapolis, we spent the day packing and wandering Prati. After drowning our sorrows at a few cocktail emporiums in the early evening, we walked into Su e Giu without a reservation close to 9:30. The two guys working the front showed us to a table, and we proceeded to have a perfect last night meal. Our appetizers and pastas were great, service was friendly, and I spent time reflecting on how wonderful Rome is, rather than thinking about our return to the fractured States. Su e Giu Cucina Romana is the perfect Roman restaurant to feel La Dolce Vita. It is a sweet life indeed.

I had possibly the most amazing chick food pasta a girl could imagine. Girls know what girl food is. The pasta in Italy is just better -obviously. But then put all sorts of girl flavors on it like Lemon and Orange, just lightly enough, zest with a small hint of cheese-..... omgosh. Yes, yes, and yes. Need my hubs to replicate at home. He is going to be busy trying to perfect this. Tagliatelle with orange and lemon parmesan. This was it. It was the best. Everything else we ordered was amazing as well. Wait outside. They don't have a sign telling you to wait, no server telling you to wait. You wait out there, wondering if you're in the right place, but then people stand behind you and you're like - oh! I'm here. This is the place. There are possibly 4 tables inside. It's small. I read about them being rude- we did not have that problem. In fact, they made a mistake and we kindly let them know we ordered something else- they corrected it and were nice about it.

We were super lucky that we didn't have to wait too long to get a table and we were sat instantly. They can only seat about 18 total. Both pastas were just absolutely amazing.
