I've since decided to do an updated review of this Arco station since my last one was back in November 2019. A lot has changed in nearly two years since I left my 1-star review. The reason for that review had to do with using debit/credit cards at the pump back then. It was a huge pain in the buttocks for sure. In fact, I was so upset I decided to use another station further away, yet 20 cents /gal more expensive. The convenience of using my card at the pump far trumps standing in really looong line inside Arco with only one cashier working, waiting to pay. I'm now happy to give a much better report. This Arco started accepting cards (all major debit/credit) cards accepted, with CHIP/PIN security, right at the pump! Also, the nice thing is there is no more annoying . 35 cent fee for using your bank card. It's similar to what you come to expect at other major gas station pumps. I've been using this Arco for the past year and a half and really welcome the improvements they have made to the pumps. The screens also give you the option of adding a car wash, which I find convenient. So, why not 5-stars? Well, although the pumps work MOST of the time, they are not without the occasional fault, here and there. I would say I visit this Arco about once a week, and about 1 in every 4 visits, or monthly, I find the pump I try to use either is out of order, glitchy, or won't print a receipt (showing the carwash code). In that case I either have to try another pump, or go inside the AM/PM store to request a duplicate copy with the carwash code. Not a huge deal, but still a little hassle when it's very busy and the line is long. There is a good reason Arco gas is cheap, or amoung the cheapest. First, like Costco, and Safeway, they sell on volume. This explains why this is one of the busiest and highest traffic gas stations in the area. Second, Arco gasoline contains up to 10% ethanol blend. This doesn't necessarily mean it's inferior, but just a slightly different formulation. Your car/engine is designed to burn a combination of ethanol and gasoline without any adverse effects. Arco and Costco both advertise a maximum of 10 percent ethanol across all octanes. They do not have any additives that they advertise. In other words, it's straight up "gas" without the "fluff" like Chevrons "Techron", or Shells "V-power", Those "expensive" stations want you to believe you are getting "better" gas when in fact it makes little, if any difference. The "difference" with ARCO, of course is price. Often as much as 20 (or more) cents cheaper per gallon. That can make a bit of a difference depending on what type of vehicle you drive, and how much you drive. For most of us that that only use 87 octane, regular unleaded its just as good as the "Chevrons" & "Shells". I've done the math using Arco compared to others and saw barely any difference in MPG. This is not a plug for Arco, but once I started doing my own research after being brainwashed into thinking Chevron & Shell were superior, I don't pump anything else. read more

OK, I have finally had it. I start work at 6 AM in Morgan Hill. The closest gas station is Arco. You don't know how many times I've gone to this Arco in the morning and I cannot put gas. Either somethings wrong with their , the pump or like this morning, it said " site pump inactive" at the physical pump. The employee is there have never gave me a problem and their customer service is always really great. It just sucks that a company this large always has problems and puts these employees in positions like this. They shouldn't have to explain all the time why they can't sell gas. Arco on Monterey get it together. I will no longer come to this Arco even though it is so conveniently close to me. I'll pay the extra money at 7-Eleven down the street. read more

Just had the $8 car wash. My car was covered with sap and pine needles. Compared to other drive-through washes it did an excellent job.

I see this ARCO collects disappointment. Yesterday I pitched a car wash, credit cards were down (AGAIN) so I paid cash. My $12 car wash stopped in the middle of the service. I drove wet to the AmPm to get a certificate to Re wash the water drops of mud off my car and the Freaking Doors were locked- 1pm on a Thursday. Lights on, workers milling around inside. Confused patrons buzzing around outside. Ugh. I left to work, and rang them this morning explaining the situation, they told me to bring a receipt. We'll cash transactions at the kiosk do not produce a receipt. That these people know that there was a weird jackassery occurring yesterday. Arco gave me a chore and robbed me of $12 clams - who has that kind of time. F- ARCO, and my Tesla says "F Minus Off"! read more

We've been coming here a couple times a day for gas, red bull and various other snacks. This gas station is clean & is in a convenient location. During the day, the ladies behind the counter were friendly enough & actually had smiles on their faces. We will keep coming back to this particular location whenever we are in town. Woman was rude. It was around 3 AM we came in the store, me and my siblings. There was this semi chubby Hispanic woman who told us we have to wear mask inside. She basically panicked and was rude. We didn't have mask and they didn't have any either (which is crazy) so we asked if we can out our shirts over our faces which would cover it more, she said no. So we went in the car and got some and she got the nerve to think wearing those skinny blue mask is better then Atleast a cloth over our mouths. It's fucking 3 AM I don't have time for her bullshit. Then another white dude came in with a scarf over his mouth and she didn't say anything. Goes to show it was a racial problem! I hate to have to go in to pay and then go back in to get change, but Arco consistently has the lowest gas prices in the area. It's also open 24 hours and has a mini-mart. It's Arco... Basically the same everywhere. It costs $0.35 extra to use a card instead of cash. read more

These idiotic morons shut off the pump on me while I was pumping gas which I've always done at this time of night even though they say they are open right. I am extremely furious with Arco and the way they treat their customers. If I was you guys I wouldn't go and fill your gas up with arco. They post one price, but then say it is another price. Attendant stated the posted price didn't mean anything, she said what's in the computer is what matters. She said if you don't want it no problem and grabbed it back. When I tried to speak to her she just looked the other way and would not acknowledge me. All told, not a bad fuel stop if you find yourself not along the highway strip of options. Prices at the pump on par with others, the c-store is clean and aisles aren't full of clutter and cardboard promo stands, and good beverage selection. Restrooms are clean and (hurrah) don't need to beg for a key. read more

Terrible service! Paid for an "Ultimate Car Wash". Machine only put soap on 1/2 of my vehicle and no water. The cleaning strips then did a "Dry Wash" on my vehicle and then rinsed. I went in and asked for my money back and the assistant manager flew out the door and insisted my vehicle was "clean". She would not even listen to what her car wash did and did not do. What a rip off. Certainly did not get the ultimate wash I paid for. I have spent over $300 a week at this location. Myself and anyone I know will never shop here again. This gas station is not very close to the freeway, so it wouldn't make a great pit stop for those travelling down the 101, but I exited the freeway searching for a cupcake bakery and passed this place by accident - a very fortuitous accident as it turned out. The name on Yelp says Morgan Hill Fuel LP, but it is actually an ARCO ampm with all the benefits thereof. They do not accept credit cards, but you can pay with either cash or an ATM card, though using the ATM will cost you a $.35 fee. The gas was significantly cheaper than that I found in San Jose, $.24 cheaper per gallon which is significant when you're filling your tank in anticipation of the long haul home to Bakersfield. The ampm minimart is spotlessly clean, and has everything you expect, cold drinks, hot drinks, microwaveable burritos, slurpees, you name it they've got it. The bathrooms were clean and best of all you don't need to ask for the key. I hate having to ask for the bathroom key at gas stations; they always give it to you attached to something embarrassingly large which looks like germs have created advanced civilizations on its surface. They have a car wash, which is something I've never seen at an ARCO before. Unfortunately, the car wash was down the day I was there so I couldn't try it out. I've since been told that the car wash is always down, so you'll have to check it out for yourself. It cost $1.00 (quarters only) to add air to your tires and the air pressure gage is missing so you can't tell when to stop. Argh. read more

I don't like this gas station. I went there a few months ago and the service was really rude and felt really judgmental, which baffled me because they work at a gas station... So I refused to go there again but had to the other day because I was on my way to work and I would have ran out of gas otherwise and there is a Pay Station, that's so dumb, you have to leave your car and find this stupid kiosk to pay.... This place is terrible, the last few times I've been here, all the debit card machines say cash only so if you don't have $50 in cash on you, you can't do business here. The $.35 inconvenience fee negates any real savings per gallon. They took off the catches for the fuel pump handles because of some temporary state law and never put them back on...i just shove my car's key in there and it stays. The carwash hasn't worked in forever. The kiosks on the aisles don't accept cash because they don't want to bother emptying them. Avoid this place and go to safeway or valero. read more

I work in Morgan Hill and this is my go to for gas. It is the least expensive and so convenient. Yes, there are times when it is wicked busy, but usually, due to my schedule, I avoid those times. It is a gas station. You get gas, a beverage, a pack of smokes, whatever. Who reviews a gas station? I sure don't. I mean everyone is always pleasant, never have any problems, bathroom is always clean. So why the review tonight? I worked a double and remembered I needed gas to get home. I stopped and walked in (less expensive when you pay cash) to get water and put gas in my car and get home to crash. Jose was at the register and he was such a sweet gentleman. His smile was honest and just such a bright person. It was so lovely to experience such an amazing person after such a long day/night at work. This place is now AM PM. The staff is friendly but oh how I hate pumping gas here. Fist you have to pay a fee to use your debit card. Second there is no flow switch, which means when it is 30 degrees you have to stand there and squeeze the pump. To top it off the flow here is noticeably much slower than other gas stations which means longer exposure to that 30 degree weather. Bring your coat, scarf and gloves your going to need them. read more

So they basically stole $10 from me. All I had in my wallet was $25 cash and I needed to get gas, so I go inside, give the money to the attendant and say "pump 14 please" She mumbles something that sounds like "pump 14?" I say yes and she takes the money and says thank you, but when I'm pumping gas, it's stops at $15. I figured it was a simple mistake, she thought I handed her a 10 instead of a 20, no big deal. I go in there to correct it. I say, very politely "You only put $15 on the pump. I gave you $25" This woman proceeds to ARGUE with me and give me all the attitude. "No you gave me a ten" "No," I said. I know exactly how much I gave her because it was literally everything I had. "I handed you a 20" A small line had started to form behind me and she freaking YELLS at me, in front of a store full of customers, "I said $15 and you said yes!!!" It didn't dawn on my until later that when I heard her say "pump 14?" she was probably actually saying "$15" but still, for her to treat me that way and act like it wasn't her responsibility to LOOK at the bill she's accepting was absolutely ridiculous. I was absolutely humiliated, but I asked her to open her drawer and check, because I'm positive I gave her a 20. She snaps at me that she can't open her drawer and I need to come back tomorrow, although I'm still not sure what coming back tomorrow is going to do. I was tired of arguing with her, pissed off and really embarrassed, so I left. I plan to go back tomorrow and speak to the manager or someone in charge but the bottom line is that the customer service I experienced here was absolutely, grossly unacceptable. I left furious and STILL didn't get my money back or the gas that I paid for. I went in there with a positive attitude, assuming the best and I was met with a disgusting and aggressive attitude. No catches on the pumps. It's an Arco so u have to wait in line to pay or go inside. Pain in the arse.

This place is all about pros and cons and what you're willing to put up with. It's one of the cheapest gas stations in town. But they charge a fee to use your card, which obviously mitigates the discount a little bit. As for the gas station area, it's fine I suppose. The lock on every pump handle in this station is broken and has been for years, so it's a bummer they've never fixed this. This is especially problematic because the gas does often pump rather slowly because it has so many pumps and is often very, very busy. The AM/PM store is okay. Expected high prices, but that's true of any convenience store. I've had problems from time to time getting the correct discount on energy drinks. Sometimes they run a special on, say, Monster Energy drinks, but then a brand new flavor is introduced and the SKU number on it isn't added to the sale. They appear to keep the store pretty clean, and the few times I've ventured into the coffee/hot food side of the store, it's surprisingly pretty clean. read more

Although the gas isn't the cheapest in town, this station is pretty convenient. Sadly, though, you have to hold the handle on all the pumps cause the handle lock is broke off every single pump I've ever tried. While this isn't a huge issue, when the wind is blowing and its freezing cold, standing outside to hold the handle on the pump is a lot of no fun. Also, why do they still charge the $0.35 convenience fee to pay using your ATM? Seems so archaic. read more

I love coming here for gas when i need it not expensive. always a reasonable price. The facility is very clean on the inside and out. The customer service that each person provides is awesome. The people that work there all very friendly. I even stop here if I'm coming into town for a snack or a beverage. They got great selections for any type of drink that you could want and the same with ether a snack or if you want a bite to eat. My ATM card number and PIN were stolen at this location. This gas station was the only place I have used my debit card in the last 3 months and bam, I use it once and the information is stolen. A criminal in the LA area created an ATM card from my stolen information and stole $600 from me. When I called the station to ask that they investigate the person on the phone denied the issue and hung up on me. read more
