    The entire point of pay at the pump is convenience. Today I drove up to get gas. Every time I put my credit card in the slot the screen asked for a pin number. When I tried to pilot around it on the machine it told me to go inside and see the cashier. It's not a debit card. So I looked around for a button to push telling them it's a credit card but only saw information for a debit card. I feel this can't be the case but from what I could tell the pump just accepted debit cards and not credit cards. At minimum it's confusing and irritating. No thanks.

    The pumps are ancient and the handles sticky, but ARCO provides cheap gas for cash or debit when the other local station's rates are too high. Most of the squeegees are falling apart, that is if you can find one, and the trash cans are usually filled to the brim... There's also a variety of uncouth alcoholic drinks, smokes, and snacks to pick up while inside the shop. The station attendants are pretty attentive as well and willing to greet you with a kind "hello" when you walk to the register. It's a prime location with a gorgeous little building that serves as a landmark when entering Rancho Santa Margarita, only one half of the structure is not occupied and in need of some rehab. The lot itself is a tight fit and a bit of a mess, with cars trying to traverse every which way but strait, and exiting or entering the station is a bit of a task. The lighting at night is ominous, but there's usually a number of Orange County Sheriff's deputies hanging out in the lot during the early hours... I stop in almost twice a month. It's alright.

    Shutdown for the day because they are selling bad gas as a result from the rains. Water in the tank.

    They consistently have the best prices. Clean with plenty of working pumps. Good price for the area, fast and back on my way.

    Best gas! Clean stations. Best gas at good prices. Always window washing supplies for a quick cleanup.

    The cash machine ate my $20 without credit. The workers were not interested in giving me a refund. Somebody dishonestly pocketed my $20.

He again said "fuck you, you are not getting gas, leave" I finally cussed back, why are you being such a jerk and an asshole to customers?! Why are you telling me to fuck off - fuck you you dick!" All the while, another employee had watched for a minute and I asked does he always act like this? What the fuck?? I will be calling corporate- not that it will get me anywhere- looks like others have tried that and appears there have been no Changes. How does Shell allow this? I have a picture of his car/license plate. I ultimately left and got fuel elsewhere- I will never return there! Nothing works including the lazy inconsiderate and blatantly rude staff!

They did give me a refund on the "Platinum" job, which they discounted down to "regular wash" job plus a free hotdog. Vacuuming was so-so...poorly done. Finishing details were not done well, some streaking on windows which I had to hit with a little Windex & paper towel when I got home. The cup holder and console area and rest of the dash...poorly cleaned; I spent quit some time cleaning it myself after I left. I will admit my car was pretty dirty, but still I expected a better final result; even though poor result, I felt sorry for the guy who worked on my vehicle, so tipped him $7. The "Platinum Clean" is supposed to be a "mini-detailing"...but it really was more like a "regular job". Tire treatment didn't give much of a shine. They were nice...no problem with how I was treated. Think I'll try an individual detailer next time.

I am happy to talk about the experience my family has had with Gregg's. My wife took her car in for an oil change using a Groupon. Upon completing the oil change, Gregg's guys performed an inspection finding various issues that needed to be addressed providing my wife with a very reasonable printed estimate. You would figure this is when the pressure to get the services completed would start, but it didn't. They said thank you for your business and sent her on her way. Fast forward a couple of weeks, my wife called and made an appointment for the repairs. They got her car in quickly and made the repairs without haggling or trying to upsell additional or unnecessary services. Gregg and his guys were professional, honest, and quick. We will be back and will recommend Gregg's Mobil to anyone in need of a recommendation for an auto mechanic. Also, as a former Marine, I appreciate the Marine Corps flag being flown out front!

Minutes after leaving, the car became undriveable and stalled -- steering failed, oil was pouring out, and the drive belt was damaged. Tried calling Gregg's repeatedly -- no answer. Employees had left early, even though the shop was still "open" according to their posted hours. No after-hours contact, no help. We had to scramble to find another mechanic and a tow truck. Turns out, the work Gregg's did led to nearly $600 worth of damage: leaking oil all over the engine and breaking the drive belt. We paid out of pocket to fix these issues. When we went back Monday, Jeff the manager was rude, dismissive, and blamed us for not towing our car back to them (which we tried to do). After pressure, they agreed to reimburse the cost of repairs (the least they could do because they were at fault for them) -- but refused to refund the oil change that caused the damage in the first place. So basically, I had the privilege of paying $200 for an oil change that caused $600 worth of damage. Both Gregg and Jeff admitted fault, but still refused full accountability. The experience was frustrating, stressful, and could've been dangerous. Thankfully we live nearby, but if our car had stalled in an intersection or the freeway, this could have been catastrophic. Worst of all, Jeff and Gregg were condescending and extremely apathetic to the situation. Avoid this place unless you want poor workmanship and worse customer service.

Not even hi or hello (the most basic customer service skills). But today I came in (Fri 1/17 around 5:45) with a gift card and handed it to him and he said I had to do it on my end. So I took the gift card out of its cardboard holder it comes in and asked him if he could please throw away the cardboard holder for me, because there was a trash basket literally right behind where he was standing at the register. He said no. Throw it away yourself. I said, there is a trash right there, pointing to the basket less than 2 feet away from him. Still no, he wouldn't. Then I bought some lotto tickets with cash, and he looks at me before giving me my change and says "so are you going to throw that away, because its rude to leave it there" pointing to the small piece of cardboard my giftcard came in. He expects me to walk away to the trash without getting my change?! I said no, I'm waiting for you to give me my change. He is treating me like this with a line of people behind me to witness it. Once I got my change, I threw away the little piece of trash that he wasn't capable of tossing in the waste basket. They have lost my business because they choose to employee of this minimum wage employee with a power trip. Clearly he is a miserible person who hates his job and is desperate to feel important and have a sense of control over others. As someone who has 20+ years of customer service management experience, I can say with certainty, that he belongs at a job with no human interaction. Maybe the city dump, where the work will match his personality. Way to go above and beyond to be a total a-hole to the customers.
