Very mediocre. They always put a $200 hold on my credit card (why???) and the pumps are always out of receipt paper. I don't think I've ever been able to get a receipt without going inside, which is really annoying when I've paid for a car wash. It's honestly the fact that I have to walk inside and wait in line for my car wash receipt that I hate this gas station as much as I do. It's like they don't value your time at all. I was almost out of fuel, this gas station was the closest. I stopped and noticed each card I tried was rejected. I went inside, no one was at the register. A man (after this interaction- I cannot call him a man!) was incredibly rude and told me (exact words) "get the fuck out" "leave Bitch" I asked him why he was being so rude! He said "fuck you, do you want me to call the cops on you!" I politely asked him to help me understand 1. Why I was being treated this way, and 2. How can I get gas please? He again said "fuck you, you are not getting gas, leave" I finally cussed back, why are you being such a jerk and an asshole to customers?! Why are you telling me to fuck off - fuck you you dick!" All the while, another employee had watched for a minute and I asked does he always act like this? What the fuck?? FRAUD! I visited this station earlier this week and used pump number two. I selected regular gas and began pumping. Once my tank was full, I printed a receipt. I glanced at the receipt before I got in my car and noticed that I was charged for plus at $5.29 a gallon instead of regular at $5.09 a gallon. I went inside the station and let the woman behind the register and a gentleman behind the counter know. The gentleman said it "sometimes does that if you nudge the hose." WHAT?! First, I didn't touch the hose. Second, if you know it's an issue, then it should be addressed. I asked to speak with a manager and the gentleman -- Ben -- said he was the manager. I reiterated that what he was doing was fraud. I didn't get much of a reaction so I asked for the corporate customer service phone number. I was given two phone numbers. One for Speedway was closed for the day; when I spoke to Shell corporate they let me know that the station was operated by someone else but they would pass along the message. Well - I haven't heard from anyone yet but plan to follow up again this coming week. Essentially: don't go here. If you do, check your receipts. First things! I have never used their car wash, so I really can't say anything about it! But I do go their at least once a week to fill up the tank. I use the shell app every time, which makes it really useful specially now. Only thing I touch it's the fuel hose thing and the type of gas I want, I don't press any other buttons, all done through the app. Really nice! I try to go in the mornings, because it seems less busy and so far, it's worked. The store inside is a bit small but it has a very decent variety of items inside. The cashiers are nice, I personally haven't got a bad experience here. The gas prices go up and down like every where, sometimes cheaper, sometimes not so much! But since I always use the shell app on the phone, it's always saving me five to ten cents per gallon so I think that's always a good deal!! And for some reason I definitely think the gas there lasts me a bit longer than others. I've tried Chevron and arco, and it's not the same. Maybe it's just me lol! Use the Shell App!!! read more

I paid $20 for gas. Went outside and pumped like normal. It said "please see attendant" at the pump. I went inside and Oscar told me my transaction was cancelled - clearly not by me. I then paid ANOTHER $20 for gas. I checked my statement and was charged $40 all together. I disputed the charge and they had the nerve to tell my bank I used the gas I paid for. BS. CAN YELP OFFER ZERO STAR OPTION? Worst gas station car wash. Waited for 25 mins in the line and the machine stopped working after I paid and pulled in. Had to drive out of the machine and asked for a refund. That's when the fun began.... Talked to 2 creepy guys and both accused me for not following the steps correctly so can't give me a refund. I asked them to pull up the surveillance camera recording to prove me wrong! I have used this car wash for 100 times and I know how to follow the steps. It is not a rocket science! After I asked for the video they found out they could not use that as an excuse. Instead, they said I don't have an invoice number on the receipt I printed at the self payment station. I should've paid at the pump. I drive an electric car!!!!! When would I ever pay at the pump! They kept yelling at me for wasting their time and it was my fault! I asked to take to the manager and the answer was manager was not around! Dishonest sale prices. Their food mart prices advertise specials that never ring up the correct sale prices. Example: Monster energy drinks & candy bars. This has happened more than 5 times and workers are either part of the scam or not smart enough to run a cash register. How many people go in there and get taken for a couple dollars without noticing, but a $10 discrepancy and they want to act stupid and argue even after you show them their mistake... DON'T USE THE CAR WASH!! The car wash snapped my back windshield wiper off and the gas station took zero responsibility for it. I reported it immediately and they told me to fill out a form. After an "investigation," I was informed that they cannot assume responsibility as they found no problems or issues with the car wash. This isnt my main place to fill up on gas, but I feel like it should be. I have never had trouble getting in or out of here, and I have never had to wait for a pump. I decided to try the car wash the other day because my car was FILTHY. The pumps dont show the prices for the carwash options, so I went with Silver hoping it was the least expensive - and it was. Silver: $6 Gold: $8 Platinum: $9 I was 4, maybe 5 cars deep in line and it took me an hour to get through the car wash. I wont lie, that sucked. Im not sure why it took so long as my wash was fast... I guess most people get the higher washes than the Silver, and it takes longer? I also didnt see the timer of how much time was left at the end when it tells you to drive out slowly so my car didnt get fully dry and I still had a good 25 seconds left when I pulled out. All in all the wash was fine... it got the dirt off and I went on my way. Not sure I would do it again though, as it takes way less time at a hand wash place AND they do the inside as well. read more

I haven't experienced the frustration by the previous Yelper, but am just a little frustrated with the one entrance in and out onto Santa Margarita Parkway. There were a few times that I realized I could use more gas in my car, but had made that decision a second or two too late with no second opportunity to pull in since I drove past my one chance. So then I just end up going to Chevron down the road who has easier access in and out of. I have gone inside of their little mart to grab a drink, snack or two and the cashiers have always been friendly and courteous. I will definitely be back. read more

I'm here at least 3-4 times a week, stopping in for 2/$4 Rockstar Energy drinks and fuel. Great stop for snacks, coffee and smokes as well... The car wash is pretty good for a $6 'Silver' wash and if your car is really dirty it does a good job at scraping off the big grime... Open 24 hours, they have Lotto and some hot food, and the rotation of cashiers are usually pretty friendly and always quick to ring you up. This Shell also has very reasonable gas prices considering it's right off the 241 toll road... $3.09 a gallon as of 11/30/14. Use your Ralphs Club card and knock another 10¢ off per gallon if you have points. read more

I utterly despise this gas station. Every time I go there at least 1 or 2 pumps don't work. Usually there are so many people there that they pumps that do work are all occupied and you have to wait. When you do find an available pump, using your credit card is like watching paint dry. Slow and painful. Have no idea why the electronics are so utterly slow on these gas pumps, but they are. And when there are more people there, they are even slower. They recently added a car wash to the list of services available there. I stopped in to obtain my free car wash with any purchase since I was at the bank next door and wanted something to drink. Being nearby and thirsty was they only reason I went in there. Well, I've had the receipt for my free car wash for at least 2 weeks now and every time I have gone by the place there is either at minimum 10 people in line, or the car wash is not working. I don't particularly want to wait an hour for a mediocre car wash so my receipt has gone unused all this time. They probably added the car wash to entice more people to go there, but with the slow pumps, always excessively busy, and an inoperable car wash, I find my time is more wisely spent elsewhere. read more

I've been to this gas station quite a few times in the past few months. The prices are competitive and I like that the squeegee buckets are always full of water. I have always been unable to try their car wash since I usually am running late to somewhere. Today I decided to give it a go. I recently moved to RSM and have purchase gasoline here on occasion. The gas is fine and meets all California regulations, but it's the convenience store inside that I am reviewing. Their soda fountain looks like something you'd see in some small, remote town in Montana. The only diet option is Diet Coke. Hard to believe a south Orange County gas station convenience store could be so barren. They do have a refrigerator with bottled and canned drinks and I can confirm that the beverages are kept a low temperature, perfect for immediate consumption. read more

I have lived in RSM for over 25 years and when this station was new it was good, and the owner at that time would honor their promise that if you paid for a car wash and it rained within 3 days that you could come back for a free wash. Well, I called the station today to see about getting my free wash since I washed my car Sunday and it rained Tuesday. I spoke with a "Mark" and at first he said he needed manager approval but then said to come in and he would take care of it. I got in my car and drove over, about 5 minutes had elapsed. Mark is nowhere to be found and the middle eastern cashier claims that Mark is gone for the evening. Then he says that new ownership does not honor the rain policy. The promise is still posted. I got gas and a propane tank. By the time I was finished pumping gas I went back in to make sure he was gonna get it... propane tank was sitting by the door. This review is on the car wash. First of all there are always at least 3-5 cars deep to get a car wash. This is not the stations problem, since so many people want to get their car washed, but since it takes 6 minutes per wash you are sitting there for at least 20-30 minutes. Now for the car wash. I enrolled in Everwash monthly car washes. The brushes they use scratch the car finish. They whip around putting small swirl marks on your car's finish. I have a black car and it is very noticeable. Spent $100.00 to have the car rubbed out and waxed to remove the swirl marks from the washes whippers. Not worth the express car wash price or the monthly fee. read more

I feel like you should be able to fill up a Tahoe without having to put your card in the machine twice.
