Beware ordering from this brand- as others have reviewed customer service is severely lacking especially when their prices are so high. I returned an unworn, unwashed lace dress that I removed the close pin tag to try on since the garment was very delicate in nature and didn't want to snag the fabric with the tag. Once I tried on, I pinned the tag back on and moved forward with a return. The return was denied because I didn't pin the tag back on the exact original location. I would understand if the dress was damaged or I sent back without the tags completely. They issued a store credit for moving a tag lol. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced. I was a first time customer purchasing their corset which runs maybe 10 sizes too small and quality is absolutely not worth the $. I tried the top on for less than 10 seconds because I couldn't breathe in it and asked to exchange for a larger size. Over a week went by with no news from the company about my exchange or receiving my item back (which is surprising because they were so quick to ship it out to me as I'm located in the same city). So I took it upon myself to call and follow up. I was told that the top was "damaged" and would be sent back to me. I was extremely confused as to what damage was done to the item... Apparently a small faint makeup stain (which is bound to happen when trying on a white top) is grounds for not receiving a refund let alone an exchange for a larger size. The lady Molly who I spoke to was completely inept and was not even willing to exchange it for a larger size. What a spectacular personal fitting & photos opt experience at their fancy downtown loft. Jade greets her guest upon the arrival. Everything follows suit accordingly with a few amazing highlights and surprises. Prep 1: Before your trip, to save time, you should look through their online catalog to decide which pieces you want to own. Better yet screen shot them and show them to the associate. Prep 2: For easy in and out between fittings, wear a simple T-shirt w/ no bra inside and shorts with flip flops. Wearing no bras grantee no marks on your skin, looks better on photos. Prep 3: Have the mindset that you may or may bring the pieces home the same day since availability in sizes or colors varies. They always can put you on wait lists. I just bought a floor sample since it was clean, and it is the exact color and size I fit. Some non-current season items may not be included in the near future production. Prep 4: Check the traffic and making sure you show up on time. Parking right across the street for $10 an hour or $15 over an hour. The parking lot takes credit cards. Put a smile on your face, I did not get charge extra even I ran over an hour. BUT I tip the parking staff. (Pay forward) Prep 5: Do read their email invite to get an understanding the nature of your visit- which is trying on pieces to find a good fit and bring them home. Prep 6: Go on IG to check out the best poses other purchasing customers have done. Try it yourself and have fun. The backdrop of fashion district is amazing and very distinguishing. Be mindful of the time, the sooner you have tried out and make a purchase, the more time left for pictures within that 60 minutes. Jade was nice to offer taking photos for me, but she looks busy when she came out from the office in the next room. I think I had a mere 15 mins left to take photos with my newly bought item. Prep 7: Please go to the gym.... a broader shoulders, higher collar bones, higher curvier hips can carry the areyouami outfits better. Last note: It is common to fit well in a size 0 item, but another piece demands a medium then you order a skirt in size 2. That's the point of having a loft fitting experience. Have fun! read more

Terrible customer service and shady business. I ordered a top from them (over $300). the top did not fit. I returned the top. their refund policy states item needs to be returned within 30 days from PAYMENT - a ridiculous requirement when their ground shipping takes 10 days, but whatever. I rush to return the item and get a notification it was delivered to them on day 29. they will not refund me because THEY did not process my return until day 33. The return was in their possession on day 29 despite 10 day shipping each way. They ignore my emails and just keep my money and the item. Terrible and unethical way to run a business. I am so disappointed. cute clothes but I cannot support a business that operates in this way. read more

Cheap quality over priced! You can literally go into the alley downtown and buy half the stuff that they are selling for like $20-$30. I wouldn't waste my money. I am 5'4", 32B, 25 in waist and I can never decide what size I am supposed to wear with this brand. I uploaded pictures of me trying on the Anke Top. here the sleeves for the Anke top do not even sit on my shoulders. The only way for them to sit like they do in the photo would be to constantly have my shoulders raised. So bizarre. I've had this problem with a few of their other tops as well. I WANT to like these clothes so much because the cut is very much my taste but the fitting is so confusing and not consistent with the sizing charts online. This brand is a complete joke & a total rip off. I'm a buyer in the industry and I ordered a few pieces just to check them out. The fabric/quality is average, you could get the same at Zara, and the sizing is ridiculously small. Notice all of their models are a 00 and have no curves/no bust. Their prices do not match what you're getting-essentially underwear that's dry clean only and will likely fall apart after one wear. Do not buy. read more

This company is absurd and a scam. Firstly, the corset was ran immensely small even though I ordered two sizes above my normal size. It arrived later than expected and I returned it in perfectly normal conditions. I would never return something with stains on it or it looking damage because that is not smart. I get an email back that I received credit instead of a refund and I asked why this was. They replied that the corset was recieved in bad conditions and sent me pictures of something that looks nothing like the way I sent it. It looks like the corset was worn out, folded, and had horrible stains all over it. They refused to give me my money back for the corset as it it clear that those damages were not made by me. I read a few more reviews and it looks like a few people have a similar issue that they returned it in perfect condition but is receiving images of another corset. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING. Their customer service is horrible and they are a SCAM. read more

I got the nique dress, dress was beautiful but the straps broke on me when I wore it literally the day after and I wanted to return it to get a refund. And guess what no refunds on anything damaged or broken. I did not do anything besides go out to dinner and the straps just came off one by one while out to dinner. I couldn't even enjoy it. Not only could they not return it but sent it back to me, I called to return they said it's been too long and they could only issue me a 10 percent return so I paid $470 and 10% is $47 or i could send it back to get it fixed which by the way would probably get broken again. I haven't tried my top on yet but overall I am happy with my purchase. They have a quick fulfillment operations as there was no delay in shipping. The packaging is super cute and I was very happy with the quality of the garment. Many negative reviews are based on the fit, as I have not tried mine on yet I am unable to comment there but at a glance the sizing seems correct. Regarding fit issues - not all garments fit the same, this is due to the style of the garment and the fabrication. You have to take it upon yourself to gage the product images provided by companies to reference for fit. Often times size charts and notes they have about models sizing and proportions are inaccurate. If something doesn't fit then send it back for the correct size and/or refund, it's really that simple :). Also, READ their sizing "We fit from an extra small and grade up from there so our sizing is naturally skewed towards smaller sizes". Regarding pricing- not all items should be priced the same and to compare this brand's pricing to another (especially a mainstream brand/store) is absurd. Brands that are made in the USA naturally have higher costs resulting and higher MSRP vs. brands that are made over-seas. Additionally, brands such as Missguided are huge corporations with factories in USA and UK they are stocking hundreds of thousands of goods resulting in them being able to buy product at a lower cost. Small brands made in the USA have substantially higher price tags. If you can't afford it go to Forever 21 and continue to shop where you do but to get online and leave such foolish comments on someone's small brand is absurd. SHOP LOCAL! If you want to support your local stores it's going to come with a higher cost...or, continue to shop at chain stores (rich get richer) for a lower price. I see why others might rate this store one star, but I am very impressed by AYAI!! Their clothes are not the most functional, but they are ridiculously cute and the designs are pretty unique for the most part. Plus who doesn't want some crazy clothes for concerts/music festivals/night outs? The stuff they make might have very little coverage, but most are made from silk/cotton etc and NONE are polyester. Quality is definitely not bad (cough cough revolve cough cough $200 rayon dress). But most importantly, their CS is amazing! UPS lost my package despite marking it delivered. Instead of waiting to file a claim and start the investigation process, they decided to send me a replacement package right away. Purchased a dress from here online and looked at the return policy strictly because I always have issues with sizing (big hips no bust), it mentioned nowhere that return shipping was on the consumer (aka me) so I proceeded to buy it. It mentioned it for the international returns but I'm literally one county over from where they shipped it from so I'm domestic. It was a beautiful dress but I worked with clothing and this is absolutely not worth what it cost. When I got the packing slip I looked and the return policy on there stated I had to pay for shipping. When I reached out to them they told me it was on their returns page (which it wasn't and I sent them the image showing that), they also told me it was in the terms and conditions... I'm sorry you expect all of your consumers to read that? It should be in there of course but it DEFINITELY should be on your return policy page on your website. You can let someone buy it and then decide to inform them of the rest of the policy once they have already received the item. Absolutely terrible customer service. Now I have to waste my money to send the product back. I will never buy from them again and tell people I know not to waste their time or money on this company. read more

Beautiful quality items! Very consistent aesthetic, as a brand. However I wouldn't say the price is THAT reasonable for what you're getting. All of their items are essentially lingerie - and are very delicate. Every item in the collection shows a significant amount of skin or you're basically pretty much nude. So if you're looking for something to wear frequently, to work, to a high end restaurant.. just..no. :( It's all very sexy, but your breasts will be showing completely.. or half of your ass, or your stomach. A girl can't logistically wear this stuff that often. But maybe that's just their concept. Personally I can only buy so many of these items since I don't frequent clubs THAT often (or barely at all because I just can't be bothered with that sort of scene). Hoping they will introduce some pieces that are a bit more versatile! I Love Rumi and and totally routing for the girl. UPDATE: After purchasing a top, I'm a little disappointed in the overall experience. The sizing is very small. I'm 5'3 and 110 pounds and an XS was very small. Which is fine I guess, I could size up. However, my shipping and delivery took forever, there was a mix up with available sizes.. so I had to choose a different size than I wanted (and what was originally available). I also had to pay $12 to ship the item back as a return. For a higher end brand, that's not really acceptable service. Also, the packaging, box, tags, etc... were all very flimsy and cheap looking. I purchased the Kimia Bodysuit in black three years ago and went on to purchase the white and the tan soon after. Each strap on each bodysuit has snapped - the black one within 3 to 4 wears. Disappointing considering the fact that I assumed I was paying for quality. The Kenk Tee also came and is incredibly cute but sheer. Regardless of AYAI kinks, my main issue is the pricing. If you are going to charge that much, your products should not be see through and the stitching should be great. I love the Kimia and would love to purchase AYAI products in the future, but I am wary of purchasing other products due to clear skimping on manufacturing. I bought a Bianca top online for $179 plus shipping and tax. However, I was extremely disappointed because it is way too small. The fit is unbelievably tight and uncomfortable. Im 5.5 and 95lbs and I usually take XS. However this design is so tight that even for me it cannot fit at all. Material and packaging looks very lux but the cloth fits terrible. I wonder it can actually fit anybody. And I bet you on their website the size fit for model is NOT XS. The cuff opening for this top in size XS is only 2 INCHES... you can only literally fit a chopstick through it. Very disappointed. read more

I recently purchased the Ninfa dress in two sizes. One ended up being too small and the other too large. In hopes to make the larger one fit, I tied a loop on the string but it still did not fit. When I returned the dresses I was only credited for the price of one. I contacted the company and they told me they received the dress "damaged" because of the loop and could not accept it and would ship it back to me. They then continued to lie to my face and say that they untied it and that it left a dent on the string that couldn't be fixed. When I received the dress in the mail the loop was still tied and when I undid it, there was absolutely no dent and the string was perfectly normal. I sent them an email with a picture of the dress strap, showing that it was not in anyway damaged and asked for a refund. They then stopped responding, leaving me no choice but to call the company. When I did, they simply said they could not accept the dress. I am now out $350 for a string that is in perfect condition. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I will not be purchasing from them again. read more

Very fast order processing and excellent followup service. Items are good quality, and the pricing is on par with other designers and mostly reasonable. If you like their aesthetic you should give them a try, much better quality than the fast fashion alternatives some are recommending. As for sizing, I think most girls who wear this type of look are skinny so they probably would have too many leftovers if they produced size large. The clothes run mostly true to size. I've shopped at the loft and it was an awesome experience. My size for a reference, I am 5'1 and 115ish lbs. 32D. Their knitted items I can fit between S-M. The ribbed items that stretch, I've only tried on a M and I am satisfied with the fit, though some item in a M was a little big. The price is pretty high for what I am use to, but it kinda makes me wanna take extra care of it. I say give the clothing a try. I love the chokers. read more

Very beautiful, high quality clothes but the dresses are very short. If you are thinking of buying a slip dress and are pretty tall definitely pay the bit extra for the longer option. I'm 5'8 and the regular length barely covered my butt. I returned it for the longer option and it was great. They accidentally sent me the wrong size, which was inconvenient but they were very apologetic and friendly - even sending a free gift. All in all, yes, it's a bit pricey but so beautiful. If you can make the stretch, I definitely recommend buying from this brand. read more
