That tip turned out to be a winner! When I called, I was pleasantly surprised to get a very reasonable quote. I dropped off my carpet expecting it would take a week to complete. But to my surprise, about 45 minutes later, Josh called to say he had some free time and my rug was already finished. The edging looks great! We went there on a Tuesday. Keith was wonderful to work with. Steered us to a reasonably priced carpet since I'm renting. Ended up ordering carpets for my living g room and bedroom. The best part - they delivered them the following Monday for a Tuesday move in. They fit perfect and look more than great. What a wonderful well run business. This place was such a great find! I spent hours looking online for rugs and couldn't find anything I really liked at a reasonable price. I stopped in here and was greeted by Jo, who listened carefully to what I was looking for and together we looked at a bunch of options as she got a feel for my taste. I was able to "check out" 3 samples of my favorite options to take home and look at with my own decor and lighting. It was a great shopping experience. They have a huge variety of options at so many different price points. They also have great remnants that have been turned into area rugs that I'm sure I'll be back to purchase some cheaper, more functional and less decorative rugs for other needs. With a shop like this close by, I won't shop online for rugs anymore. At least here I can touch everything and know that the color I'm seeing is the color I'm going to get. read more

Best consumer experience we have ever had! This is the third time I have purchased rugs from the Area Rug Factory. Each time we have redecorated our home, Area Rug Factory has exceeded our expectations. Unbelievable customer service! I have picked carpets just with Sue's help and with a decorator: This time I went in with my decorator. Sue at the Area Rug Factory worked really well with my decorator. So whether you are doing your own design or have something in mind, this is the place! This factory had better pricing than LA or the Valley. My sister came up from LA to visit: She had been searching for an area rug. She saw my rug and we went and ordered the same rug for her home before we even went to lunch! Sue sent us home with really large samples and recommended that we look at them in the light of our home, even though the factory is very well lite. We could not be happier with our choice. The entire downstairs of my home now carries out the vision I had for it I would not have been able to achieve that vision without Sue and her Team. I have driven down Callens 5 billion times...this unassuming building reminds me of the rug stores in Morocco and India without the high pressure salespersons, of course there was no mint tea, but that's definitely not pertinent. Room after room with beautiful quality rugs, infinite selection choices. I'm almost finished with a remodel and needed rugs cleaned. I want sisal rugs and couldn't find what I wanted in the big box or specialty stores. On line purchases would involve mailing swatches and a purchase would include shipping. I was encouraged to take the sample bundle in order to compare with my floor. I knew it was perfect when I found it but appreciated being able to check it on the floor at home. They are having my own rugs cleaned and I'll make a decision on sizes AND will order this week. Knowledgeable, unobtrusive, helpful! HIGHLY recommend. read more

Being a poor college student in a rental home that we just moved into, I wanted something nice and cheap to cover the permanent stains in the carpet. I have noticed many very nice rentals still have old stained carpets, I guess it often isn't worth it to the landlords to replace them. Well, I was skeptical that I'd find anything in my price budget at the Area Rug Factory, but I was pleasantly surprised. In their Clearance Room (in the back) I discovered a $200 rug (6x10) on sale for $80 that was the perfect color we were searching for. It is so much nicer than the old ones usually posted on Craigslist. Best yet, the staff let us look around unmolested but made it clear that we should feel free to ask them if we had any questions. They were very nice. I'd highly recommend going there whether you are rolling in the dough or trying to fix up your cheap rental. read more
