Ordered the chili which was tasteless as well as the half BLT that tasted awful and only had lettuce and bacon on it. Not sure what happened to the "T" and I suppose you have to ask for mayo. To top it off, I ordered a birch beer and when I finished drinking it, noticed a fly frozen in the ice. They took the birch beer off the bill...lol. Never going back. Fun place to go. You can enjoy good food and look out the big picture windows to the runways at the small adjoining airport. While we were there for lunch, we saw planes taking off and landing. This could easily have been an airport stand out. Great vibe, the staff was excellent, and it had a really great menu. Live music at the airport "diner". That's a first for me. Honestly my expectations were high but overall I was disappointed. I ordered the black and blue hamburger with fries. When the meal came to the table, the hamburger was drowning in blue cheese dressing and I honestly can't say whether or not there were any blue cheese crumbles on top. It was so overdone that you could barely taste the Hamburg and it was nearly impossible to eat. I usually never say this, but next time I'm back in this area for business, I will NOT be coming back here. The bartender seemed pleasant at first. Then she told me, after awhile, that they had no chicken salad. I ordered a soup sandwich combo. She offered to make another type of sandwich, but I decided to change my whole order. She seemed very annoyed that she had to cancel my order and take another. I ended up with tacos and chili. Tacos were good. Chili was not. It came luke warm. Probably reheated in a microwave. This is usually our favorite Arenas. However, tonight was terrible. We arrived at 720pm, closing time is 8pm. There were 3 tables seated when we arrived. As soon as we were seated and ordered beverages, the server started putting all the chairs up on vacant tables. By 735pm, ALL the chairs were up on tables and benches were pitched forward in all the booths. We had not even received our food. Our appetizer was never delivered. Maybe because they were just chasing us out? The crabcake was terrible and the nachos were sitting in the window and the cheese was all dried out on the chips. We kept having to call to our server for items because she was too busy sweeping and wiping to take care of us. Another guest went and refilled her own soda. We felt very unwelcome as guests. We finished our meal and were out at 754pm. We would have rather they just told us they were closed when we arrived. Went for lunch today at Arena's. We flew in. The staff there is so young but they try very hard to do a great job and they do. I ordered the BLT. I really like BLTs and Arenas is probably the best on the east coast. They call it the stacked BLT and stacked with bacon it is! Get some hot peppers on the side to put on it and you have a winning sandwich, Prices are reasonable considering the times we live in and again the service is great. read more

We had a very nice lunch at Arena's at the Georgetown airport. Spacious place with view of the runways. Ice-cold draft beer was a good start for me, and my wife was happy they have Coke -- she is definitely not a Pepsi person. I wanted to try the pierogis, and they did not disappoint. Nicely filled and not tough or chewy. My wife had the Korean wings, and she asked for them to be crispy. Although they were good, they were neither Korean nor crispy; she felt they had more of a barbecue flavor, and definitely did not have Gogughang (sp?) in the sauce. I had the Powerhouse sandwich with cheese. There were no bean sprouts on the sandwich, but the thinly sliced carrots and the cucumber gave it a nice crunch. Was quite tasty, and I get points for eating my veggies. My wife had "the Duncan," which is a Reuben made with turkey. She liked it a lot, and I had a bite and, although I usually don't like turkey substituted for corned beef or pastrami, I thought it was very good. We visited on a Saturday in between baseball games over at Sports at the Beach and we brought the entire team and families (~45 people). We called ahead and were told they had 2 servers so we were prepared for a wait. What we found was an exceptional crew, all hustling to take orders, make drinks (lots of Orange Crushes and soda for the kids), serve food, etc. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and they were great with the kids too. I eat gluten free and they suggested a Greek salad and grilled chicken, and they made sure the chicken was prepared on a clean area of the grill. I loved my meal, chicken was cooked perfectly, salad was delicious. Highly recommend, just know you may have to wait a bit if it's a busy time. We had 2.5 hours between games so the wait was not a problem at all. read more

Arena's has a huge menu! I was so impressed when I went there for lunch. A little bit of everything, and they're sure to have something for everyone. I had the Betty--they call it a "grown up grilled cheese." It was so good, and really unique. It had bacon, avocado, and tomato. There are so many other things on the menu, but to be honest, when I go back I'll probably order the Betty again... it was just so good! Arena's also has a good bar, and a nice outside area where you can watch the planes coming in. Even if you eat inside, you still get a nice view of the airplanes. It's cool! read more

I was there for Sunday brunch at 11:45. The Service was excellent and made to order omelette was delicious all other food was dried out from sitting on the sternos for a long period. The key factor that pushes this rating to 5 stars is the bartender, Jeff. You'd be hard pressed to find someone as friendly & attentive as him. We weren't yet "regulars" & our visits are still prob only once a month that we make it out there... but he makes a point to remember our drink preferences & make suggestions on items we might like. Horrible. We stopped for lunch after reading the positive reviews and this was one of the worst dining experiences we have had in a very long time. The staff is incompetent and untrained in any customer service. We ordered soup and two sandwiches, waited 45 minutes, our "waitress" never stopped back at our table - she was too busy talking with other staff or on her phone. We finally got her attention, she seemed very non-plussed and that a 45-minute wait for soup was normal, apparently she never put the order into the kitchen and was not apologetic or made any effort to expedite or rectify the situation. Wouldn't have been my first choice normally for food snob here, but brother was short on time flying back from Florida returning to Boston, so he invited us to meet him for brunch at this airport. Buffet breakfast was basic, but omelette made to order with feta (shredded blend only other option), fresh spinach leaves and diced tomatoes was fine enough. I had called on Friday to be told the sticky buns are only homemade bread item as they are made by baker for all 3 Arena's locations which offer breakfast buffet on Sundays (Arena's mostly is lunch/dinner sandwiches and bar grub). Also muffins but a waiter said muffins didn't surface today. Sticky buns were fresh, and solid B. For the $12 per person charge, this is incredible value Sundays 9 am to 1 pm. Husband and teenager were impressed by the variety, including fruit salad, and French toast sticks. Fun to watch brother take off in his Cirrus. Good view of runway from this simple restaurant. Waitress did excellent job of keeping water glasses and coffee mugs filled. If you're in the area in a hurry, this is the ticket. read more

We were at Sports at the Beach for a baseball tournament and had 2 hours between games. Boys tired of expensive dried out burgers and hot dogs from their concession stand. There is almost no civilization around the baseball complex except an airport. Saw planes landing and taking off all am so drove over to nearby airport to see if they had someplace to eat and came across Arena's. What a find! The menu was huge and had everything both parents and kids would eat. The waiter could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Kids loved eating by the window and watching the planes. Food was fantastic-- sandwiches made to order, unlimited soft drink re-fills (critical on a hot day for the ball players) and the service was fast and could not have been nicer. Parents and Coaches -- between games-- come here with your teams! Only 5 min from fields. We will be back next tournament!! read more
