    Pepito samich with fried cassava
    Rob G.

Cozy little spot in the cut. The ground beef empanada was like my momma made it (puerto Rican style) crunchy and well seasoned. The owner Jose was super nice, pleasant to talk to and accommodating. I also ordered the pepito with fried cassava and had a wine based whiskey shot which was smooth as heck. The pepito samich was tasty, hot and filling. I'm giving him 4 instead of 5 because I asked if the sauce was in there for the cassava fries and it wasn't. And he "checked"..

This restaurant is amazing! This is a family owned business (Colombian and Puerto Rican) which showcases typical food from both places. The chicken avocado arepa with cilantro mayo is out of this world! It is perfectly grilled and not greasy at all. The corn empanadas stuffed with shredded beef are crazy delicious! You can tell everything is made by hand. We stopped here on our way from Tampa to Ocala. It was worth the 5 minutes out of the way.

The food was really good, we ordered tequeños and empanadas what I think is an essential in any Venezuelan Kitchen. Very hot food, amazing flavors, sauces were good as well but I never seen Tequeños with Marinara Sauce on the side but no complaints everything was over the expectations. Juices as mango and tamarindo are a very good alternative option for sodas. This guys opened two months ago and their doing good, Wesley chapel needs more Venezuelan places like this one, the food may take a lil longer but I understand everything tasted fresh and no frozen. Good luck to this fellows.

We come frequently to this place with my family. We ask to them for certain changes like no diary for me or my son and they are accommodating because of our allergies. They have variety of food. My favorite one is also the mofongo with octopus and my husband likes the chicken one. My uncle liked the sancocho but I can't eat it because if it's made with red meat. My son like the carne encebollada (with grilled onions) I suggested to have a side of chicharrón with the arepas like in my country and they are considering since they have it in the big appetizer dish. If you are looking for a Latin place to have real food try Arepa Mia nearby the wesley chapel area

Decided to go here with my sister for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It's a cute little spot with 3 tables that seat four and some sets at the bar area! When we can in we were greeted with a smile as an acknowledgement to say "we see you". We seated ourselves and were given a menu and had our orders taken! The menu was a lot more simple than I was expecting but the food was Delicious! We had a shredded chicken and shredded beef arepa and a chicken empanada and ground beef empanada and order of fries!! The ground beef empanada was a little bland but still good! Everything was delicious and we left extremely stuffed! The only bad things I'd say is i wish they had a little bit more on the menu, also you won't have any phone service in there. Also it can get a bit warm in there. Would recommend for a delicious take out!

The place is very cozy. Only 4 tables inside and 2 outside and a bar. I ordered the chicken and avocado arepa. It was delicious. My husband ordered the Cuban and was good as well. Both orders are big we ended up boxing the rest . The service was excellent. Mask must be worn to enter the place.

This is the spot in Wesley Chapel for that comfort food that taste like mama made it. They make the best sancocho soup. Their Arepas are delicious and that special green sauce is amazing!!!

Great arepas and empanadas! Little bit of a wait for the food, but it's worth the wait. Cute little Venezuelan place!

We were seated right away and put in our orders. I'm not sure how long exactly but it felt like a very long time for us to receive our orders, especially for a table of 4 when the restaurant was mostly empty. The server never came by to update us while we were waiting. By the time we received the food, which was an appetizer, a chicken and 2 Cuban sandwiches, the Cubans weren't very warm at all. The food was very good at least and the Sangria was delicious, but I'm disappointed in the wait and the service. I'd like to give it another chance but it this is typical then I would not continue to come.

Then we were ignored for over 5 minutes while other tables were seated and waited on. Got the idea that not speaking Spanish had something to do with it. We finally got the attention of a server. He said he wasn't our server but that he'd take care of us. He turned out to be very good. Regarding the food, we started with the empanada trio. They came out hot and crispy. The chicken and beef were good but not much filling. We didn't enjoy the pizza one at all. For meals we had the shredded pork with rice, beans and plantains and a Cuban sandwich. Our food was very good. We each ordered the lemonade. Got the bill and saw they were $7 each. Wow. Guess we should have checked the menu for prices of drinks. Not sure we'll go back inside but may get takeout in the future.

The first Rice N Beans location was in a modest location and then it became a big restaurant in Wesley Chapel. Now they have this new location which is closer to their first location. They serve rotisserie chicken here and other dishes depending on the day of the week. This is a Puerto Rican restaurant. They do not have mofongo. You can find that at their restaurant. Here, I would definitely say to choose their chicken. It was so good and flavorful. We ordered the full chicken and it included two sides which we chose arroz con gandules and Maduros (rice and sweet plantains). The chicken was our fave for sure and we would definitely get it again. The service was very friendly. I came late on Wednesday night. They close at 7 and it was about 6:45. I picked up a menu and came back the next day. Glad I stopped by and tried the chicken. It was great. There are many chicken places opening up around us, but it's fried chicken. This is roasted chicken. I love Puerto Rican rice arroz con gandules, but I'd ask if it's newly made. I didn't think this rice we had was as fresh and it didn't have much flavor. I would try the rice again if I saw they just made it! This area is becoming a Latin crawl for food. Go to Kinka's for breakfast or dessert, Cosita Rica's for empanadas or soups, and Rice N Beans Express for chicken!

The sorrullito de maíz (fried corn fritter with cheese inside for my Anglo friends) is always a favorite. Just the right amount of sweet fried perfectly. As it was dinner time I couldn't get my favorite breakfast items so I went hardcore: Fried pork chops, white rice and Tostones. I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice the presentation was for essentially a non moving food truck. The food looked great and tasted even better. The rice was a bit hard but besides that all was perfect. My wife had grilled chicken with arroz con gandules (yellow rice with pigeon peas) and maduros. Also was a hit. And best part was there was more than enough for left overs. So happy to know we have really good PR food close by. The service was ok but I guess that's the express part. Courteous but quick. It's in Krate so seating is outside and depending on weather and crowd; could be crazy but always a good time.
