100% one of the best breakfast places I've been to in my time of traveling. I came out here to visit family in the area. It's a small restaurant however so good! They bring out the dishes as they are finished so when you receive your food, it's actually fresh. Our waitress was wonderful and patient with us. I got the Nutella French toast with strawberries. We had high hopes for this, but were unfortunately left with an underwhelming impression. My husband and I both for skillets that were very bland. My son ordered french toast that had very little flavor as well and mostly just tasted like bread. My daughter ordered the nutella crepes that were undercooked so she barely ate any of it. read more

This was my first visit to Very Berry Brunch. This is a cute little brunch place. Parking is a little tight, but for those that drive with sense, it should not present a problem. The menu is vast for such a small place with options for protein, carbs, and drinks. The servers uniforms are dressed down with blue jeans and a black top. I enjoyed very very crêpes with a side of bacon and two eggs fried over hard. The coffee was good, the price was right, but I'm not sure if I'll be back. read more

We have gone here several times and Michelle always waited on us our food and service was great but today not so much! Ordered omelets with no home fries or toast and substitute with fruit and everything was an upcharge. The girls working there today did not understand and could care less of what the problem was and why I was addressing our bill with extra charges on several items. Went here after seeing a recommendation on Nextdoor App. Nice decor and food was hot. I had Colorado omelet with hashbrown potatoes and toast...only got one slice of bread with the toast (really?). My wife had regular eggs benedict with hashbrowns. Our drinks were coffee ($3.79) and iced tea ($3.99)... bill total was $39.00....pretty outrageous considering egg prices are down 50% from a year ago. Don't think we will be returning. Restaurants were quick to charge an upcharge for eggs when they were expensive or increase their prices. How about helping the paying customer out and not keep gouging them. The food was decent, but I think you have to be very specific when ordering to get it the way you want since the servers don't really ask clarifying questions. They also didn't have any dairy-free milk options, which was disappointing. When we were seated, the table was only set with two sets of silverware even though there were four of us, and we had to ask for the rest. After reading the reviews, both good and bad, I decided to give it a try. Reviews are always subject to the persons expectations so I will try to elaborate. I arrived about 11:30 am on a Saturday. The place was less than half full. I waited a full 10 minutes before someone came and offered me coffee and water. I was already ready with my order, but she went to get me a spoon for my coffee, which she never returned with. I ordered the California Benedict for $13.99. The food came out within 7-8 min. The hollandaise sauce looked not appetizing. Like a cheese sauce that comes out of a can. It had no flavor. Didn't taste bad but really no flavor. The potatoes were ok, the poached eggs were slightly overcooked but still good. The avocado had a lot of brown spots that I cut off and still there was plenty left. This should have been done before serving. The only sugar substitute is the pink stuff so bring your own if you like something slightly less toxic. When my check arrived it was it was for a Philly sandwich. My waitress explained that the cashier gave my check to someone else, would I pay his? It was the exact same amount. I paid it and left my waitress an excellent tip ($5 on a $19 bill). I won't return or recommend for many reasons. read more

The atmosphere at Very Berry Brunch was welcoming, and the staff was friendly--which I truly appreciated. However, the food fell short of expectations. My eggs were overcooked, the coffee was full of grounds, and the strawberry crepes were disappointingly dry with barely any cream cheese filling. When I asked for more filling to make them edible, I was told it would be an extra charge. At $12.99, I expected much better quality and service. These crepes desperately need more filling, a generous dollop of whipped cream, and fresh strawberries--not just a few slices. It's a shame because the vibe of the place is great, but unfortunately, the food didn't live up to it. read more

A breath of fresh air in a dull food town like Lutz. This place is new and learning but has a great menu, an attentive staff and is a very bright and inviting atmosphere. My kid loved the kids Mickey Mouse pancake, everything was very fresh and everything was cooked right. They are putting a good spin on some classics like home fries which we really enjoyed. Recommend the French toast and the chicken avocado sandwich. Also, spend the 1 dollar more for the sourdough toast.....worth it....one more recommendation....the OJ is squeezed to order and was superb. Extremely disappointed. Came here for breakfast hoping for a nice brunch experience, but it was honestly one of the worst I've had in a while. The food took forever to come out -- at least 40 minutes for a simple plate of eggs and toast. When it finally arrived, the eggs were cold and I actually found a hair on my plate. Totally ruined my appetite. The servers were nice, but that doesn't make up for how slow everything was or how poor the food quality turned out to be. The service speed and food quality just don't match the prices or the hype. Definitely won't be coming back anytime soon. read more

Once we ordered the food wait time wasn't terrible but the food was ok nothing super special or memorable. Never had a waitress back for refills not to ask about food or anything. We found a great new breakfast place, Very Berry Brunch. It is off Dale Mabry on Lutz Lake Fern where the old Chicago Burgers used to be, in the Publix shopping plaza. Don't let the name throw you. We saw another Neighbor recommended it so we looked up the menu they offer a wide range of breakfast items as well as lunch. They are open 8am-3pm. We visited for the first time today, 3/25/25. I had the sausage biscuit breakfast which came with two biscuits, gravy, two eggs and some thinly sliced grilled potatoes. They use bits of sausage in the gravy. I'm used to ground sausage in my gravy, but theirs was really great and there was a lot of food. It was well worth the price. The next time I will order one biscuit. We can't wait to try several of the other items on their menu. They really have the place decorated nice with a combination of booths and tables. Our waitress, Michele is one of the nicest, most pleasant people you'll ever meet. She makes you feel like you're in a small hometown restaurant. The owner, Flora, is a little sweetheart, just as nice as she can be. She was genuinely interested in our dining experience. We shop at that Publix so it's nice to have a nice meal before you go shopping. Let's all help to make Very Berry Brunch a success story. customer service was HORRIBLE!! when we arrived the girl at the front didn't even acknowledge us and had a attitude. Our waitress was very polite taking our order and attending to us. once we got our food and i went to take a bite there was a bug coming out of my omelette... we grabbed our waitresses attention and asked to have it remade, she takes the food back and comes back with the same plate and says the cook can't remake if it didn't touch the food. mind you i watched the bug come from under my omelette... i asked to jus send it back and i wont eat and she still said i have to pay for the food. spoke to the manger(cook) and she basically didn't have a care in the world about the bug in my food and that i didn't eat. just said it was their "policy" that they can't remake food. mimosas were great and so was our waiter michelle. overall WOULDNT recommend! read more

When I walked in the restaurant it was very cute and clean . I ordered the biscuit platter which came with potatoes and eggs . When the breakfast came the potatoes where cold and not cooked even though they were cut really thin . I let the waitress know and she returned it and brought back a new plate of food . The potatoes on top were crispier but the ones on the very bottom were still not cooked . The gravy had square sausage and had no taste. The eggs were clearly over cooked they were brown on top . Nothing tasted individually cooked fresh . It was almost like they made the platter earlier and just stuck it in the oven or microwave to heat it up . It was terrible. The waitress was really nice . I will not be going back and not recommending this place to anyone . read more
