I think this place is so delicious. It's very flavorful and the sauces that go with the food are paired so well. My favorite thing to get are the tequenos every time I go. It's also attached to a vinyl store which is also really cool to grab a bite and then walk over or even order and then check out some vinyls until your order is ready. I recommend

I was in the area and decided to stop by. I wanted to try something different and since I've never had an arepa, it felt a good choice. After browsing the menu, the pavilion arepa was the obvious choice for me. It was stuffed with braised beef, fried plantains, black beans, and mozzarella cheese. It tastes just as good as it sounds. I enjoy all of those ingredients individually, and never would have put them all together and stuffed them into a fried pocket. Actually, over stuffed would be a better description. I wanted to beat the traffic, so I took my order to go. There was no way I was gonna even try to eat this like a regular sandwich. It was huge. I threw it in the toaster oven to warm it up and ate it as an open face sandwich with a knife & fork. That way, I was able to evenly distribute the ingredients so I got a a little bit of everything with each bite. It was savory, sweet, crunchy, yummy goodness. Don't forget to use the sauce. I poured it over everything. Next time I'm asking for an extra container because one was not enough for that huge arepa.

Cool small Venezuelan counter service place attached to record store. Food was hot and freshly prepared, kind staff

I ordered the Urbanite Arepa it was packed with such good flavors and was actually a lot more filling than I was expecting! The owners supported furloughed federal workers during the shutdown with a free meal so I definitely recommend supporting this business. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and it wasn't crowded when I went.

The arepa was tasty. More like an overstuffed sandwich and less like a grilled cheese. And the spicy sauce was genuinely spicy. The downside was really the ordering experience. The menu on the wall is outdated and several of the menu items are no longer offered. This was not communicated until we tried to order several things that no longer exist. The real menu is hidden in the counter. Still, the food was good and the outdoor space is excellent.

Food was good. Customer service was good. Seating a little tight, but pretty decent. Ordered the: Pavilion arepa: 10/10 - beef was good, loved the flavor and all of the sauce Yuka fries: 9/10

    Adequate.

The size and price of the arepas are an obstacle for me. The food is good and the ingredients are creative but......compare the size and price to other arepa options. The interior feels cold, service is adequate, and the menu is outdated and looks like it was never finalized. The outdoor seating could be cute, perhaps.

PAVILLION AREPA The beef was tough and the broth tasted like it was watered down. Plantains were cooked well. The beans lacked flavor as well. The corn shell was bland. I liked that the shell was thick allowing it to be sturdy enough to hold it like a taco. Overall it was lackluster in flavors. Maybe they lowers the spices for the clientele of the area? ‍It wasn't for my soul, maybe it's for yours. Service was great, pleasant to order from and welcoming. Location offers free parking.

Came here on a weekday evening, and there was no line at all. In fact, completely empty, including the staff lol, so we waited a bit for them to come back. Got the Urbanite cachapa, which had a corn pancake outside filled with queso de mano and a beef and pepper mixture. Overall good in terms of flavor and texture, and especially loved the corn bits in the pancake. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

I love seeing farmers market stands become brick and mortar. I also love celebrating Hispanic owned businesses. I will say, I was a little skeptical - Arepi has a HUGE cult following and for good reason but I've had some not so good experiences at the farmers market stands. But I went during Fells Fest, the busiest time and they delivered! It was a little slow to order, it was a festival and a small restaurant next to the Sound Garden. But I was surprised how quickly I got my order. The key to the Arepas is to make sure you add plantains to any item and I mixed both mild and hot sauces. I got the warm chicken arepa with added plantains and it really really hit the spot. My friend got the chicken salad and she also really enjoyed it. So glad to have more cultural local fast casual in fells. Will definitely be back! So happy for this team.

I'm so happy that Arepi finally has a storefront!!! I used to get their arepas at the Fells Point farmers market on a regular basis - iykyk. The arepas are flavorful, delicious, made fresh, and best of all for me - gluten free!!!! You may view it as a pro or a con that they are packed so full with the fillings, but for me it's an absolute pro. Get ready to get messy if you're biting in, or grab a fork. I will say that sometimes there is a significant wait (at the events they go to, as well as the storefront). With that being said, it's due to the quality of the food! So go and enjoy!

I loved the food at arepi, it was fresh, flavorful, well balanced, and truly a delight. I got the chicken avocado one and was not disappointed by the crunchy shell, and soft and cheesy filling. The service was okay, nothing to write home about, but were polite nonetheless. Ambiance when I went was just a regular little store almost like a cafe. Definitely a spot for a casual chat and greeting.

This is some of the best fast casual eats in Fells Point! I'm so glad they have a brick & mortar location now so I can visit them anytime I'm in the area. Their pop queen arepa is one of my favorite bites in baltimore! And I just tried their cachapa and yuca fries for the first time during this visit. The cheese pull on the cachapa was INSANE and it tasted soooo good. The service is always friendly. I always visit Arepi whenever I'm in town, they're one of the best local businesses around.

Do not sleep on the cocktails! The Lessons In Alliteration will bring me back here, it is so well balanced and goes down a little too easy. The food was incredible. We started with the Tequeños and Patacón Salvaje (the best bite of the night for me!). Then came the Caribe Atómico (a little too salty) and Caribbean Surf & Turf Salpicón. For our entrees we tried the Duck Atollado (the rice in this dish was amazing and so flavorful) and the Pelao Guayanés. Everything was well prepared and so tasty. Dessert was the Vanilla Quesillo and Cacao+, would skip, dessert was our least favorite course.

We had to get an early reservation as they were fully booked at dinner time. The food was just okay: the appetizer with the plantain and fried calamari was okay, it lacked a little bit of dimension and was too acid forward (needed more salt to balance it). The main was the "olleta" which is a vegetarian meal; it wasn't exactly memorable. It has an incredible amount of olives and capers and not enough tofu/plaintain/mushrooms. It was also very acid forward and lacked layers/balance to the flavor. Lastly, we tried two desserts: the flan (I believe it was called quesillo) and the chocolate one. I LOVED the flan with the foam on top, and the chocolate one was towards the bitter side (which was pretty good) but I wouldn't get it again. The desserts were very overpriced for the size of it. The place is well maintained and I love the plants all around. I would like to give it another try as I like to support my fellow Latinos

It has been a long time since I last had them, and I was excited for my friend to try them. We each got an arepa, and we split tequenos and chicken empanadas... Yes, we were hungry lol. The chicken salad arepa I was as good as I remembered, and I got a glass of white wine that complimented it perfectly. It was my first time having their tequenos, and they were nice and cheesy. I looked at their menu, then set out to learn about their various entrees. My husband agreed to give it a try. Before going, we settled on trying "Pabellon Criollo" which is considered the Venezuelan national dish. We were here on a Saturday around 5 p.m. and were surprised to see a few large parties dining in. Also, people came in to get their takeout orders. Not sure as to how the ordering worked when dining in, we made our way to their counter. The owner, Carlos, spotted us and got 2 menus. We confirmed that we wanted to dine in. Carlos is very friendly and welcomes customers with a smile. He also was our server. To drink, I had a lemonade while my husband had a can of Coke. We let Carlos know that we were both having the Pabellon Criollo. This dish consists of black beans with a bit of shredded cheese on top, white rice, carne mechado (which was shredded), 2 arepitas (small arepas) and some platanos maduros. When the food came, it was obvious that the platanos were freshly made. Carlos also brought a bottle of brazza sauce (also called "salsa de amor). He told us we could put it on any item we wanted. It's a mild sauce which is mayonnaise based with cilantro. We enjoyed this dish. Everything was mildly seasoned yet still well flavored. Nothing went to waste! When it was time to pay the check, Carlos rang us up. We both say we would like to return and try their steaks. From start to finish, we had a great experience.
