I never would have found this place had it not been recommended to me by a friend. I'm always trying to find new foods to try out and no matter where the location is, I'm never biased until I take a bite. It's inside a small gas station with a sign in the front and it's next to Taqueria. No wonder I missed it when I often drive by that place. Just looking at the menu made me even hungrier and I was indecisive about what to choose. This was my first time trying Venezuelan food. The staff helped me choose according to my meat preference and I was not disappointed! Their hot sauce is no joke, so make sure you have something to drink when you try it. For their price, you get a lot more out of it. Not only are they fresh, but one entree will definitely fill you up. Even the Tequeños filled me up after eating three. I wish I would've taken a picture of my food. My fiancé and I went just to try something different and man were we surprised! First the atmosphere was very inviting and then the wait staff was beyond knowledgeable about what they served. We went 3 times in one week and each time we were undecided on what to eat but our waiter always helped us understand the dishes. Each time was something different and each time was better than before! I love the mixed fries! Prices are reasonable for the amount of food and the flavor. My work associates and I tried this for the first time after work. The service was outstanding - they cheerfully greeted us and fully explained the menu items to us. The food was outstanding - we all liked what we had. I had a shredded beef/cheese sandwich called "The Hairy" (item #1 on their menu) which was fresh and so tasty. We all will visit again and look forward to when this place is in a restaurant location. I go here very often with my wife and friends and we love it. The qualite of the food and servers are sensational(tequeños are our "to go" appetizer every time, fresh and delicious). The food was amazing. We had a gluten intolerant person in our party and she said that it was one of the best meals she's ever had, regardless of it being gluten free. The rest of us agreed that it was absolutely delicious. We demolished our plates and resisted licking them clean. The service was also amazing. The food here has bold flavor! I have tried The Texan Cachapa and The Texan Pabellón. Everything is prepared fresh as you wait. The sweet corn "pita" bread Cachapa is awesome! The spicy cream sauce is pretty potent, and has a smoky taste to boot. Don't let the gas station locale scare you away. They hope to open a restaurant soon. This is a must try! This is a hidden gem in the Killeen/Harker Heights area that offers delicious Venezuelan cuisine. The ambiance is very warm and inviting. The service is sometimes spotty but that is only because it can get very busy. The signature cocktails are also amazing. My wife and I went to Arepitas ans WOW. The food was excellent. Everything is fresh. The taste is marvelous, the presentation super, and the price is very reasonable.
