I had a nails done here so many times that I can't really count! I usually booked pai to do my nails! She is great and very careful about every step. I remember the first time I was here they were still under construction but most of the stuff were already done. I know one thing for sure is they make sure every client walk out of there with great experience and beautiful nails. There is a couple of time where I tried to book a appointment on that day but they couldn't do it. They won't try to take anything that they know they can't finish or the product won't turn out right. I thought it was kind of funny for someone to say they walked in 30 mins before the nail salon close and expect them to do a pedicure for the daughter. They don't have to do it because you didn't booked a appointment in advance. No one will work over time for just one person, not to say your daughter is not that special for the whole nail salon to work overtime. A friend recommended this place to me since I wanted to do my nails in flushing. Honestly, I'm glad I came here! The atmosphere and the decor was absolutely amazing! I forgot the name of the technician who did my nails but she did a great job. It took about an hour to an hour and a half and appointments were easy to book. I originally had very thick UV gel on and she was very gentle and patient with the whole removal process and helped me choose my color. The only reason why I didn't give a full 5 stars was cause it was very unpleasant to have a male individual (the manager possibly) hovering around me and chatting up a storm with the technicians for at least half an hour. They were constantly joking around and laughing which I understand everyone may be friends with each other but it was very uncomfortable. Love this place for immaculate nail designs!! Honestly it DOES seem a bit intimidating to book here, because you expect the price of nail designs to be quite high right? I think it's COMPLETELY worth it; you will not get this level of detail or artistic touch at any other salon in Flushing that only trains their techs to do basic mani styles. Their base prices are the same as any other salon, but they add charges based on the details of the design you want - totally justified in my opinion as the team schedules each appointment to be 2-3 hours so they can take their time to get intricate details down perfectly. Last time my nails took 3 hours (and my pedi took 1 more) and my tech (guy with black hair, sorry I don't know your name but I appreciate you!!) was pleasant the whole time even though I asked him to change/add details on the design. The end result was exactly what I wanted and we were both so pleased with it we had a photoshoot haha. I also want to note that each time I got a manicure done here, the UV gel polish NEVER lifted or cracked, and I haven't broken a single nail, which I've never experienced at other salons. I always ended up with lots of peeling and usually break a nail or two but I honestly think the gel here is stronger and stiffer than other salons I've gone to. My nails are also in perfect condition after removal (even after consistent manicures) because they buff very lightly with the machine and don't thin them out at all, while at other salons, even my old go-to would regularly cause my nails to become so brittle after 2 or 3 appointments that I couldn't get my nails done for at least 2 months while they grew out. This place is the WORSE nail place I have never been. The guy who was so busy playing game on his phone and didn't even want to answer my questions about the nail design I showed him on the phone. I requested someone specific and he was annoyed and tried to make me change my mind. I waited for the person I request to finish her current client. I was able to make a same day appointment and when i arrived to the salon I was very satisfied by how well the salon was decorated. It felt fancy and luxurious. I really wanted to like this place after reading all the positive reviews here but I just couldn't. The girl who did my nails was pleasant but she didn't know how to clean nails properly. She skipped over cleaning/cutting the cuticles which made the finished manicure look already grown. I found this place on Yelp, and all the pictures of the nails looked top notch. For my nails, I got one marble nail art done for each hand, it is $10 per finger, but worth it because my technician really takes her time drawing everything out. The end results were marvelous. All the nails are painted with UV gel and it's great because they last for a very long time. The establishment is very clean and modern has a classy look to it, definitely a little hard to find for my first time, but it is well worth it in the end. They suggest bringing a picture with a design with you so they can recreate it. Which they are so incredibly talented and meticulous with recreating. I was really impressed! I love love my nails. The salon is absolutely beautiful and so freaking cute. Might be the prettiest salon I've ever been in. **Revising review of this salon due to their rules on their deposit. I readily admit being late. Work ran later than I expected and I tried to reschedule and she said no. I told her I was on my way but she said that if I was over 15 mins late my deposit was forfeit. I had made an appointment for both a manicure and pedicure. So I asked her if she could apply the $40 she charged me to make an appointment, on at least one of the services. Because whatever time she slotted me in for, I would have made it for at least one of them. Most places slot 1- 1.5hours for gel with design. And 45-1 hour for pedicure. She said no. Even though she had availability to provide service!!! If she was full and booked and said no, I would have been less confused and even less upset. It was my fault for being late. But the finality of her response was a little jarring for a business that relies on customer service. Ultimately she said she would refund but that she would not provide service for me again. Which again made me confused and upset. I told her to keep my deposit because those were her rules and I follow them. Be careful to make your appointments on days where you don't have the possibility of being later than 15 mins. Or just walk in and save yourself the complications. In addition! I read that they would fix your nails if something happened to them within 3 weeks. One of my gel designs fell off completely on day 8-9! A second fell off on day 11-12. Which I guess is not bad... I usually try to go every 2 weeks an First time getting my nails done here. Showed them a photo of what I wanted done and it came out pretty close. Normally go to Yukie Salon in the city and am used to bouncing ideas off my nail artist. Here, it wasn't as collaborative. She followed the photo almost exactly. First off, the real reason I came to this place is because the owner, Eddie, and his response to the shitty review down below. He's a real G for that one and it made me laugh so he sold me (even though in person, he doesn't speak English very well--still super nice though). The first thing I noticed when I came here is how CLEAN, spacious, and organized the business was. I had called earlier in the day to set my appointment and as soon as I walked in, they knew who I was (despite never having been here before). Eddie was accommodating and super detailed on my pedicure & worked quickly, but gently. My manicurist (I didn't get her name yet, but I will when I leave--I thinks she's Eddie's assistant) was so sweet and great conversationalist. the lady who worked with my nails was very unprofessional. i dm'd them a picture of how i wanted my nails to come out but when i got there she told me to pick the colors out with her and pulled all of their nail books out. she left me there hanging looking for my own colors. she wasn't even trying to do my nails nor help me look for the "colors" cause my nails didn't just need polishes (tried to convince for some simple stuff to make her work easier). she didn't really do my cuticles and applied A LOT of gel that burned and flooded out (she knew it was giving me discomfort instead of fixing it she brushed it off). all she was doing was dragging her time and my time by playing around. she wouldn't stop talking and being on her phone. at some point, i felt like she was invading my privacy like a local nail tech who would be all up in your business. i honestly didn't think she even took the time to build up my nails with the gel especially with the tips that they used. when applying on the polish, she kept on purposely messing up, doing one finger or some fingers at a time and wiping them off. i was left speechless. her work ethics caused me to have no trust for her like my day was already fucked up. the part that totally threw me off was when she started filing and buffing my nails after polishing them. she made me question my motive for visiting there. she continued to expand her sweet time when we were closing up by using the driller that SHE USED ON HER NAILS then on me. like who the hell does their own company in front of their client. literally consumed a tremendous amount of time by being messy and dirty instead of actually performing her tasks. after when she applied the top coat, she had to touch and drill on my poor thumb. i would love to tip anybody who provided the right services for me but not her cause i really didn't even want to be bothered by her. like who stands in front of somebody when they are washing their hands. by the way, she didn't paint the back of my nails nor drill the extra gel she used (the back was hella dirty but in general she didn't dust anything off of my hands. also, she sped up the process by using alcohol to dry my nails and when i told her my nails weren't even completely dry she pushed it off again with some lame excuses that were unrelated. since she i told her that she quickly took my hand and rubbed it off before i had a chance (a little dab or tap would've done the job) and gel doesn't even dry that quick ps: keep in mind not all nail techs are like that! i had finish the work that the lady didn't do and file their curvy tips that they used read more

Out of all the places I've been to in NY, this is the best one for UV gel manicures & extensions, as well as designs. I used to travel all the way from Brooklyn to Flushing just to get a gel manicure, and I've recommended this spot to a lot of my friends. Book your appointment ahead of time because they get really busy! The store is kept really clean, and Eddie, Grace & Pai are super nice. Each technician takes the time and care to file your nails into the best shape and focuses really hard on the designs to match what you want exactly. This place does not do acrylics because they're bad for your nails (thins them out). I really hope they start doing dip powder nails soon. I've been on vacation for several months and switched over to dip, and I have to say it is life-changing. I know that if they started, they would be the best manicurists for dip powder as well, because everyone else in NYC sucks. The salon takes Venmo payments and I always bring cash for courtesy tip. It stands by good customer services and the nail technicians never rush through their work.There are nail salons in the area that I've frequented where I've experienced hasty work with incompetent results, however, Arete Beauty Spa- Nail de Vue salon was a wonderful change and my first time here was a delightful experience. If you want your nails done, I advise you to always book an appointment a few days ahead. You will be asked to put up a $30 deposit (paid through QuickPay or Venmo) however this amount can returned to you or go towards your nail payment. Since Nail De Vue advocates quality and not quantity, they never overbook their appointments. Hence, the deposit is merely to ensure customers can keep their appointments. My gel manicure was completed by the salon owner. From start to finish, he was very professional, courteous and took great care in designing my nails. A lot of details went into my design - including the use of cateye gel, marbling and nail accessories - and if one part was imperfect the owner took the time to wipe off the paint and restart again. Again, this type of attention of detail is evidenced in their gallery of works which you can find here on Yelp. In terms of pricing, it is similar to a lot of shops around the area. Costs are based on type of design and I truly felt the overall result reflected the cost. Came here on a Saturday night around 6pm and my nail technician was very professional and friendly. She gave me tons of ideas on designs that would match the colors I am requesting for (I did the ombré gel nails) The whole process took about 2 hours as she took her time to do so.
