I called in and had a conversation with Ari. It seemed like something he could do but when he asked for a $2,500 retainer I said that I would not be willing to pay that much for such a small case (initial cost anywhere between $300 and $600). He said that he would be ok with no retainer then. He asked me to send him my material via email and that he would reply with an engagement letter. I didn't hear back from him for 2 days and then called in again. He apologized for the delay and how he was going to contact me later that day anyways. But all of the sudden he did want to have a $2,000 retainer after all, even though the initial step would only be 1 letter and it would take several additional weeks to take the next step. read more
