I went to Aria Dress store after looking in Macys for a dress for my son's wedding. Macys did not have anything. Katia was there and was wonderful in helping me. She was so professional in dealing with me. I picked out a dress and she was able to do the alternations herself on the same day. I needed the dress for August 29th 2026. It needed to be hemmed, sleeves to be sewn in, and a shawl to cover the back of dress. She did these alternations within hours. My husband, my daughter and I went to Aria at 12pm and as she promised my dress was completed at 630pm. I was so happy that she accommodated my tight short time. Katia is very talented and gifted in her field. It was a very good experience that I encountered with her and I wish her success. it's very hard to find someone today who has knowledge , has professional education experience and knowns what actually what is suitable for the client. Also not just that but she was helpful in providing her professional opinion as to what accessories matches with the dress. I am so grateful for her support and help. I had a great experience with previous ownership. After going recently to browse, I would tell anyone not to go. The employees working were given very clear instructions not to let people try on certain dresses. One of them called the new owner on speaker, who rudely explained I couldn't try on a lot of the dresses without an appointment and tried to make different excuses as to why. Cool, no problem, I get that they would want appointments for more expensive dresses. I was there anyway, so I tried on a couple of dresses that were allowed. They have new smart locks on the fitting room doors, which is odd. They also have two cameras directed towards the elevated area with the multiple full length mirrors. I fully support businesses having cameras, but why would two need to be pointed towards the area where CHILDREN shopping for school dances or for quinceañera dresses are going to be standing and posing in front of mirrors? It made me uncomfortable as a grown adult. I would absolutely advise anyone not to bring their children here. I left as soon as I stood there and saw both cameras directed towards me. Absolutely not worth it for a store of highly marked up cheap dresses. PS, most of the dresses are several years old and are now discontinued anyway :) read more

I walked into Aria Bridal a few days ago looking for a Quinceañera dress. The owner showed us several designs in a book and assured us that the one my daughter picked would arrive in 2 weeks. She also mentioned she checked stocked and had 1 left in her size. I called her the next morning informing her I would be coming by to pay for the dress so that it could get ordered. I confirmed the design number and she stated she would begin the ordering process. My husband and I arrived at the store later that day with cash. I was about to pay and asked if she was sure the dress would arrive in 2 weeks. She proceeded to say she would need to check stock and let me know the next day. I told her I was confused since she had already informed me that she had checked stocked. She said she would need to call the next day to double check. I was not comfortable with paying for something without knowing the arrival time. She also had all day to check stock again before making me drive (30+ minutes). I left the store with my money and an hour later she texted me saying the dress would arrive by October!!! Thank God I didn't pay for the dress. We drove to downtown LA and found the dress for $500 cheaper! I would not recommend this business to anyone. read more

I have to give these couple of scammers her and her husband a zero reviews. This woman sold my daughter a dirty white wedding dress with a hole on the butt. I asked if she was going to clean it and fix the holes and she said yes! My daughter gave her a deposit of 600 dollars. Which right after she said the dress was not going to be fixed or cleaned and that was it. And so we asked for the money back and suddenly she couldn't speak English. And her husband just sitting there like a statue and a security guard. DO NOT GO HERE. I'm being nice here I hope you did something really with those $600 and you enjoyed it You will not remember because this was almost 2 years ago. the dresses are beautiful, but don't let them do your alterations! they charged me $200 to hem and tighten the bodice and straps of a gown I bought (shame on me for agreeing to pay that, I know ). when I came back in two weeks for a fitting, the dress was still too big and they accused me of losing weight. they undid the stitching on the straps so they could move them to see if that would tighten it, but it didn't so I told them to just put the straps back the way they were. I then took the dress to David's Bridal to fix and when I tried it on there, only one of the straps was put back, the other one slid off my shoulder. I also noticed then that the two new seams that Arias seamstress made in the bodice (instead of tightening the dress at the seams already there which is the way it should've been done) were at different angles causing the dress to pucker on one side. very unprofessional and very disappointing. I ended up paying more to have the dress altered by Arias and then having to get their shoddy alterations fixed than I did for the dress. read more

I added my review to google as well and can't wait to see what kind of excuse, template, or negative response I get back from the "owners" after seeing how they speak to customers on yelp. I went into the store and ordered my dress on July 1. I was told it would take 2-6 weeks to come in. I called and continuously checked in since I live 2 hours away. My dress finally came in and my dad was able to pick it up for me and bring it to me when he came to visit the next day. When I opened my dress, I noticed that the tag said it was $158.....NOT the $710 I paid. I called the store and John answered with me on speaker where his wife took over the call. I stated I want a refund of the difference. She had the audacity to ask me to bring the dress back. Why would I do that? Just refund me the difference since that's the right thing to do. BUYER BEWARE! I went there for a wedding dress, which I DO NOT recommend going here for that. I went 6 MONTHS before my wedding and found a dress and got fitted then paid half the price. They then told me to come back to pick it up and pay the rest but when I went back 1 month before they couldn't find it or remember who I was!!!!!!! I cannot say enough good thing about Aria Bridal and Abby (manager and seamstress). I came to their store in September with my mother, Aunt, and maid of honor. While Aria wasn't my first store, it definitely was my last. I had gone to another bridal store in the area, however their dresses nor their staff met my expectations. Upon walking into Aria I was stunned. It literally took Abby two minutes of talking to me for her to pull two perfect dresses. She actually pulled about 10 different ones and even let my family choose a few. However the first two choices she had pulled were perfect for me. I had the hardest time choosing between the two but with Abby's expertise and knowledge of alterations I was able to select the perfect dress. We did not have an appointment, but we're lucky that it wasn't too busy for them to help us! We were even able to pick my bridesmaids dresses as well. I got exactly what I was looking for. Their prices range from a couple hundred dollars and up. I recommend making an appointment. That way you get that one on one. I walked in looking for a dress. I fit an XL/Size 16 dress and knowing it was a bridal shop, one would think there would be a wide array of sizes to choose from. A TV was blasting in the corner, me and my sister weren't even greeted when we walked in. I found a green dress that was my size and fit what I was looking for. Whilst walking through the extremely tight spaces between the racks, I accidentally knocked down a mannequin that wasn't properly screwed into a hanger. I suppose the noise made the employee get up to check things out, as he came over and investigated. I apologized sincerely, confused on whether I should hand it to him or try to put it back on the hanger. He offered to take it, and walked over to me with a sigh. In doing so, he eyed the dress I had in my hands, hastily grabbed and said, "It won't fit you." He then walked away with it and hung it up elsewhere. I didn't catch his name but he appeared old, was quite tall, and did not look happy the entire time lol. I was able to try it on in the end but didn't even wanna buy it. I just so happen to be getting my ring fixed across the hall when I saw Aria Bridal. I just walked in to look but I connected very well with the owners and felt comfortable enough to try on some dresses. The dress that I ended up choosing was absolutely amazing that needed to be altered. The alterations cost very little in comparison to other bridal places. I was able to get my dress that I purchased from them altered twice and they also were able to sew my spanks into my dress. I was very pleased. I have a main dress that I had purchased about a year ago for my wedding that will be in four weeks from today that cost me about three times as much as the dress cost that I purchased at aria. The person that the other bridal store referred me to, for my alterations was extremely expensive and not doable for me at all. I was able to get Mary, the lady that does the alterations, to alter my other dress for a fraction of the cost, and she also altered my veil, which was royal cathedral length it had no blusher. She altered it to be a seamless hanging blusher with no punching at the crown of the head. She did such an amazing job and I am extremely happy with her work. read more

This was the second shop I came to. I didn't need to go anywhere else because the girls that worked here were on it and found "the dress" with very few words from me. I want to say her name was Jasmine, I apologize if that is way off I'm horrible with names, but she found my dress tailored my dress and remembered me as if I had spent hours with her instead of minutes. I countered that in fact I had shared the experience with my daughter (the bride) & been the one to pay for her dress. Ultimately YELP reposted my review. UNTIL TODAY ... almost 4 years later .... when they once again removed my review for the original reasons stated in 2012. *** I am reposting because I stand by my original review. I truly hope things have improved in the last 4 years. 2012: If I could minus stars, I would. My daughter ordered her dress in January - 11.5 months before her Dec 15th wedding date. It was ordered with special customizations (silver threading & beading to be replaced with ivory thread and clear beading). The dress arrived June 29th with the wrong customization (silver threading). Was it the way in which the work order had been written or how the manufacturer interpreted the order form? Who is going to take accountability? What is the plan to fix or replace the dress (takes 6 months to order normally) and what will be the turn around time to expedite shipping, what is the cost and who is paying? Manager "Abby" said she would call the dress manufacturer and get back to my daughter. However, when my daughter would call into Aria, Abby would be out of the store or had "just" come into the store and hadn't had time to call the manufacturer - asking my daughter to call back. Every time my daughter would call, Abby always conveniently had the day off. Not once did Abby return the numerous messages my daughter left. This was the constant run around since June 29th. Last straw: today, July 10th - we went into the store, to discover Abby had begun to remove the threading WITHOUT ever having communicated with my daughter her intent to begin this process. There was NO communication from Abby that she ever got an answer from the manufacturer or what happened. I still am unsure as of this writing. It is clear now however, that there never was a plan to re-order the dress, or else Abby wouldn't have begun the alterations. I know you only have my word on this, but my daughter has been calm and cordial throughout this whole process. When she questioned why Abby had begun altering the dress without talking to her 1st - the owner (John M) countered that my daughter was making too many demands and was being "over the top". John M continued to say we weren't giving them a chance to "fix" the problem. Our problem is we could never be sure that they were - in fact - "fixing the problem". We asked that Aria cover the $80 cost another bridal shop is charging to finish the job Abby started. At first he couldn't make a decision without talking to the co-owner. Once he did and they decided to cover this cost, he changed up the game. He would only cover the $80 IF she signed a disclosure not to YELP or otherwise negatively review his establishment. She did not sign, and in fairness to him - though he tried to cross his arms and stare us down - eventually covered the $80. The $ was never the issue - it was the overall principal of asking them to take some accountability and fix the problem. If you want to be treated like a bride, do yourself a favor and don't shop here. The intent in this posting is not to bash the shop, but to share a horrible experience, which will forever be memorable for all the WRONG reasons! read more

I am writing this review with the hope that other brides do not run into the same problems as I did, because hands-down, Aria Bridal was the most stressful and infuriating vendor I encountered while planning my wedding. Everything was fine up until after I paid for my dress. They even honored a lower price I found at a bridal salon I found in Temecula. But I felt like once they had my money, I received subpar service. Here are the reasons behind my one star review. 1. While buying the dress, I asked how much alterations would cost. I was told that it would cost no more than $100, $150 tops. Because I was quoted such a low price, I went back to Aria for the alterations, only to find out that they would charge me $400. When I protested to the manager, she responded by saying "this is why I always tell my girls never to quote alterations." Well, obviously that didn't work, because they DID quote me on alterations and it was a whopping $350 lower! I felt completely duped, and to appease me, the manager took off $25. It was just too little too late, especially after everything else that happened after this incident. 2. I really wanted to make a hair flower from the remaining lace after alterations. First, they were late to inform me when the lace was ready. Second, when I went to go pick it up, they could not find it. I waited over half an hour while she looked for the lace in their files and on the floor. Yes, you read that correctly, she was throwing things around on the floor to look for the lace! Why my lace would be on the dirty tile, I have no clue, but there she was, 30 minutes of my time, looking around in their trash for lace from my dress that was costing thousands. At this point I was really annoyed since I do not live in Escondido and had to make a special trip out there just for the lace. I finally left. 20 minutes later while I was already half way back home, I got a call saying they found it. It was hanging with my dress in a garment bag in the back room. 3. Alterations here were a nightmare. When I came for my second fitting, the dress clearly didn't fit still and she was rushing and telling me "this is how it is supposed to fit" and "your shoulders slope too much, there is not much more I can do". The dress literally kept falling off of me due to it being backless, and I was so flustered that I didn't try to argue much more and wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. The other problem was that I couldn't really walk around the salon. They kept me in the small dressing room instead of bringing me out to the mirrors because there were girls trying on dresses out there, IE I had already paid and therefore they didn't want to waste their good space on me but on the girls who they were trying to make a sale with. They should have given me the large mirror to see how the dress fit instead of keeping me waiting in the small dressing room, which is the equivalent to a dressing room at Target. I couldn't really walk around, and because of this, didn't realize how long the dress was. When I tried the dress on for a friend back home, we realized another 4 inches had to come off the dress, and that it just didn't fit at all up top. I had paid $400 in alterations for a dress I couldn't even wear. 4. I took the dress to Kiki's in La Jolla and they saved the day. They took off the remaining inches off the bottom and sewed a thin satin strap in the back so that the dress would not fall off. When I first tried it on for them, they couldn't believe someone had even worked on the dress because it fit me so poorly. Bottom line, I would never recommend anyone to purchase a special dress here because Aria caused me a lot of stress and made a major dent in my bank account. Hi John, I knew you would try to argue back to yet another 1-star review. First of all, I don't know who you think you are to be assuming all these people are out to get you to make Aria look bad; you make it look bad yourself, being a business owner and coming up with excuses rather than admitting to unsatisfactory service. Such actions show the lack of class you and your company has. I walked in and saw one customer being helped and that was it; I didn't know you could only afford two employees and your store wasn't even busy other than us being in there. You make it sound like your store is bustling with customers; sorry dude, it ain't like that no more... I WONDER WHY. Second of all, do you know me personally? Seeing what you've said with other complaining customers, I knew you'd have the time to read my other reviews like the paranoid person you are... because you know, you're so damn important. If I was actually out to get you personally to make you look bad and write a negative review about your store, don't you think I would've deleted that Alfred Angelo review??? Yes I did buy a dress there 3 years ago; and that's all the explanation you really need. I'll say it again, their customer service was EXCEPTIONAL there, compared to both David's Bridal and your store. If I needed another dress, you should assume that I looked there first. David's Bridal was 2nd. I came to Aria to look for more because my sister actually purchased her beautiful dress there 11 years ago (obviously the staff must've been different). Third of all, I have zero clue about who the hell you're talking about in regards to your last comments. Apparently you have done enough stalking to talk about someone else's business! You need to get your head out of your ass, improve your staff, and "pray" for your damn self.
