By the time we were wrapping up, the dining room had filled in nicely without feeling packed. Parking on Mamaroneck Ave can take a little patience, but a couple of loops usually does the trick. We like to grab a table near the front, which gives a nice view of the street and adds to the relaxed, neighborhood feel. Service has been consistently solid, often with the same familiar face taking care of us, which adds a layer of comfort and reliability. We typically order a variety of rolls, two per person and share across the table, creating our own tasting experience. This setting felt more like speed dating, instead it was speed eating. Great place for family especially with little kids. So what has changed? Of course the prices which makes sense but unfortunately also the flavor to some of their food. Edo was honestly the best hibachi place back in the days but tonight there were some hits and misses. We always order the combination: steak (filet mignon) and chicken/shrimp every time we come. The combination hibachi comes with a few grilled shrimps as an appetizer, soup, salad, noodles, mixed vegetables, and white rice. Yes, they still toss the zucchini to you to catch which is a great start to any hibachi meal. Soup: (4/5) super light broth with some fried tempura crumbles that floats on top. It used to have a few sliver of sliced mushrooms back in the days but no mushrooms in sight tonight.
