This dentist just made my day! I have had an annoying splinter in my bridge for about three weeks and I did everything tweezer, my tongue has played hockey with this one piece of splitter and it's been driving me nuts. Finally yesterday I called this dentist which is in my neighborhood and they didn't have an appointment but they did get me in. I just came out and I feel amazing. I did my research and found Dr Irvani to be one of the best in OC. He has an impressive background with great credentials. Today was my first visit for a cleaning and TWO crowns. I was nervous because my previous dentist (in Yorba Linda) did a lot of unnecessary work that resulted with an infected tooth followed by a root canal!!! Dr. Irvani's office is bright and filled with the latest in dental equipment. Dr. Irvani went above and beyond for my wife when she was in desperate need of help. My wife broke her tooth at 6pm and started to feel extreme pain and sensitivity. No other dentist in the area was even willing to help her but Dr. Irvani didn't think twice. He went into the office after hours to make sure she was cared for. I've posted before about Dr. Irvani but I would like to say again that he is an amazingly skilled and knowledgeable dentist with a gentle touch. I was always a bit self-conscious about my front teeth so he gave me some different options to fix my smile explaining each option thoroughly. I was able to make an informed, good choice and I'm so happy with the result! He's truly a talented artist. Recently, I had a dental emergency and he squeezed me in even though his schedule was full. He still managed to be caring and patient while he took care of me and my crown fits perfectly. I have zero discomfort. His staff is top notch and I completely trust Dr. Irvani and his team. *update #2 In response to Dr. Irvani's response on my original review: After my initial review(which like I stated, took a lot of courage to write as I was trying to forget I ever went there to begin with, I received a message from dr. Irvani and then his office to discuss options. I was informed that again, I would need invisalign and in addition to that, I also need two additional teeth fixed (where originally I only got the front 4). Of course I would be paying for the extra two if I decided to go that route. I asked for a mock-up for the Invisalign and was told that I was a full-case. I agreed to pay for the Invisalign and move forward with his suggestions and adding the two extra teeth which I would pay out of pocket for (using the last bit of my savings that were intended for the house I was purchasing). This conversation was in March. My original appointment was in May. I found out I was pregnant in April and I was diagnosed with Hyperemesis (extreme nausea and vomiting) and it lasted al the way until the moment I gave birth so I spent my entire pregnancy laying down at home or in the hospital. I called them As soon as I was put on leave to let them know I would have to postpone any treatment. I received several follow-up calls asking for me to remove my review since I agreed to resolve the issue. Mind you, I had received what seemed like a very sincere apology from Dr. Irvani and also the associate who called to discuss the veneers so I was taken aback by the frequent calls asking me when I would remove my review and every time I stated- I will update the review once the issue is resolved. Now, I realize that the apologies were not sincere, but instead were just a tool to get me to remove my review. Now, on to my awful veneers. Yes, I have struggled immensely with them since 2015. No, I haven't gotten them fixed. To assume that I had the means to pay thousands of dollars (again) to fix them before that conversation is beyond presumptuous. My comfort and confidence had to take a back seat to the rest of my life and priorities. On top of that, I informed his staff with every call that I literally am nauseous and sick all day EVERY DAY, and the last thing on my priority list was getting Invisalign or veneers replaced (on top of my ob not allowing for any dental work due to my condition). After giving birth at the end of December, I was bonding with my daughter, then the pandemic happened and now we're staying at home as much as possible and my tooth issues have taken a back seat to life, once again. I'm incredibly disappointed that Dr. Irvani was not sincere and has since decided to pretend any part of my original review was false in retaliation for not removing it, which says more about him and his practice and nothing about me. Dr. Irvani is an amazing dentist. Very gentle, kind and thoughtful during your treatment. He explains everything he is doing to alleviate you of any discomfort or concern. Going to the dentist is always stressful for me, and I have no qualms about my visits to his office. I am more relaxed on his chairs during my procedure than I have ever been in my years going to the dentist. He doesn't look to find extra issues with your teeth, and even recommends cheaper options if possible to save you money. If I could give this office a zero star I would. Have you noticed their reviews are either 5 stars or 1 star? That's because they had their family members and friends rate them, or PPO patients. They are not a warm friendly office. For them, and for most dentists, it is all about the money. They're probably thanking me right now, but if you are HMO. Don't even think about going there because their going to make you feel sooooo low and unwanted. I went in there because I needed my wisdom tooth checked up. I was the first in the lobby, got there 10 minutes earlier, filled out forms, and waited to witness other patients who came after me to get their services first. The staff was obviously more friendly with them too. You can't help wonder if they are purposely discriminating HMO patients. The young Latina receptionist was quick and rude with me. She obviously had no interest in making me feel welcomed. Later on she rolls her eyes at me telling me that most doctors do not accept HMO. I have pretty healthy teeth so I rarely go to the dentist. The doctor too, was really shady. He didn't even say hello or how are you...he just poked his head in briefly told me that I needed to go to the oral surgeon. Anyways, I don't even want to spend anymore of my time and energy on them. I was discriminated, and will never go back or ever refer anyone to them. read more
