I've been shopping at Keegan's for years and recently made a visit with my girlfriend to check out…read morea necklace she was interested in. I can't speak highly enough about this place. On the surface, Keegan's is a jewelry store but it's much more than that. It's an experience that includes full consultation from a team with vast experience, expertise, and more importantly patience. Donna listens and asks a set of qualifying questions to ensure you walk away with a purchase you will truly love. She walked us through an extensive set of styles including the one we originally intended to buy. She provided context to pricing, informed us on the history and timelessness of each style, and suggested pieces, that looked amazing, we initially hadn't considered. Above all, she made the experience super fun. Again, I can't recommend this place enough. You'll find trendy styles, classic pieces, and a warm, friendly, expert staff who will put you at the center of the experience.

I returned to the store later the same day with my gold. They verified its purity and proceeded to offer me 67% of the current London Fixed price. That's a 33% commission! That's a far cry from the verbally quoted 8-10% commission. When I pushed back on how far their offer was from what they quoted me earlier in the day, the young lady's response was "well that's our offer. Take it or leave it.". So, my conclusion: 1. They don't know how to do math, or they are a bait and switch business, 2. they have poor customer service. I will never bring them my business again.

I brought in my antique engagement ring that was incorrectly resized by a previous jeweler…read moreresulting in an oval shank. I had concerns about the ring spinning despite resizing. Gary inspected the ring in great detail and made a recommendation to remove some of the shank and rebuild it, as well as to place tension springs to prevent spinning and slipping. He took his time to measure my finger for the optimal fit. I was told by another jeweler that all of my prongs needed replacement and I wanted a second opinion. Gary again took his time to inspect all the prongs and reassured me that they didn't need replacement. I was very glad for his honesty. The next business day, Gary fixed the ring in 3-4 hours and it came out beautifully. I was so nervous previously to entrust someone with my ring, but I felt at ease. Gary offered that I stay and watch the entire process. He told me to inspect my gemstone carefully after his job was complete as general good practice after having my jewelry worked on! I am so happy with the end result and strongly recommend this jeweler. The key factors that impressed me most were honesty, trustworthiness, attention to detail, patience, mastery of his craft, and sharing of knowledge/providing an understandable rationale for his decision-making. I will absolutely be returning for intermittent ring checks!

My fiance and I had an amazing experience getting my engagement at the Diamond Vault. We had been…read moreshopping around and checked out a couple of chains. I wanted a sparkly, quality diamond on a reasonable budget. We found the style I wanted. A large stone, semi-antique look, surrounded by little diamonds and diamonds on the band. But the prices offered at the chains had too much of a markup- (we consulted Blue Nile for an acceptable range). Then we found the Diamond Vault. The folks at the Diamond Vault were so helpful. We had three visits before making the final call Each one was relatively low pressure. First we found the right setting. They have fairly good range of settings, but don't have the selection of some of the large chains. What they did have was a unique take on the common setting types. Next we started talking the 4 Cs, they were very knowledgeable. We landed on what we wanted and they sent off for a couple diamonds for our next visit. I noticed some gorgeous necklaces while I was in there for the ring, but I kept my eye on the prize We spent an hour our next visit chatting about the diamonds, looking through the magnifying lens at occlusions, and comparing the colors. I got my every question answered. We were quoted a price and once we did some comparisons were were astonished how great the deal was. The ring took a month or so to be set. They even offered a suggestion to help up save an addition couple hundred. My ring is gorgeous and is well complimented to friends and strangers alike! Whenever we have had to go back for a cleaning, or for insurance docs, they have been happy to see us and more than helpful. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because a little side stone popped out a couple weeks after getting the stone, but they were apologetic and happy to fix it. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly!!

The necklace was ready 3 days late, after the event. I did not get upset, but was disappointed. When I went to pick it up, the owner showed me the stone and his work, which I complimented. I asked where the chain was. At this question, he got very angry and told me I didn't mention a chain. I explained I thought buying a necklace meant the whole piece- chain and stone, so it could be worn. He continued to berate me, getting louder and ruder, yelling over me as I tried to explain that I didn't realize it didn't come with a chain. He exploded, continued to yell at me, and stormed around the store as if I had insulted him. So rude and impossible to talk to or reason with at this point. He kept yelling and screaming. Again, I complimented his craftsmanship but said I didn't understand that a necklace meant just the stone setting without the chain because I had never done this before. I was stunned by his aggressiveness, anger, and rudeness, and I have NEVER experienced this kind of treatment or customer service anywhere- all because I didn't realize the chain wasn't included in a necklace purchase. He had me in tears as I left. I wish I had read previous reviews, particularly the "lowest" rated, because I had the same experience as those customers, and I would never recommend this store. RUDEST OWNER WITH NO SENSE OF CUSTOMER SERVICE OR HOW TO DEAL WITH MISUNDERSTANDINGS. INTIMIDATING AND SCARY. STAY AWAY!
