My fiance and I had an amazing experience getting my engagement at the Diamond Vault. We had been shopping around and checked out a couple of chains. I wanted a sparkly, quality diamond on a reasonable budget. We found the style I wanted. A large stone, semi-antique look, surrounded by little diamonds and diamonds on the band. But the prices offered at the chains had too much of a markup- (we consulted Blue Nile for an acceptable range). Then we found the Diamond Vault. The folks at the Diamond Vault were so helpful. We had three visits before making the final call Each one was relatively low pressure. First we found the right setting. They have fairly good range of settings, but don't have the selection of some of the large chains.What they did have was a unique take on the common setting types. Next we started talking the 4 Cs, they were very knowledgeable. We landed on what we wanted and they sent off for a couple diamonds for our next visit. I noticed some gorgeous necklaces while I was in there for the ring, but I kept my eye on the prize We spent an hour our next visit chatting about the diamonds, looking through the magnifying lens at occlusions, and comparing the colors. I got my every question answered. We were quoted a price and once we did some comparisons were were astonished how great the deal was. The ring took a month or so to be set. They even offered a suggestion to help up save an addition couple hundred. My ring is gorgeous and is well complimented to friends and strangers alike! Whenever we have had to go back for a cleaning, or for insurance docs, they have been happy to see us and more than helpful. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because a little side stone popped out a couple weeks after getting the stone, but they were apologetic and happy to fix it. It all started one normal morning when i woke up. Did my usual morning rituals and left the house to take my girlfriend at the time to work. Kissed her good bye and went on my way. Wait... I should marry her i thought. So i go to the bank then embark on my Lord of the Ring journey. After browsing a plethora of jewelry stores i was spent so i decided to go for a bite to eat at legacy place. I see this little jewelry store and i say what the heck I've tried everything else. As soon as i walk in i was greeted by Deb in such a manner that i was immediately captured. I explained that i was looking for an engagement ring. She proceeded to show me the diamonds. She knew exactly what she was talking about. Initially i was going for the biggest stone that i could afford. Because of Deb i learned that the size of the stone is only the tip of the iceberg of what one should take into consideration when making a decision. Diamond guild offers QUALITY diamonds. If not for Deb i would of ended up going to a mediocre jewelry store and have gotten a big diamond with awful color and clarity . Instead i got a good sized diamond with a quality that i would not have found elsewhere. Next i looked at the setting. I choose the setting i think my fiancé would like. I was done. Out comes the paper bag and i was done. In about a months time i get the ring and it was gorgeous. She said yes!!!!!. There after a couple of times me and my fiancé noticed that the little stones on the corner went missing. Every time it happened the Diamond Guild was happy to fix it. But after a couple of more times of it happening my fiancé was fed up feeling like she had to walk on eggshells every time she had her ring on. So back we go to the diamond guild. We explained that in the time of one year the problem persisted. It was an issue with the setting design. The team at the Guild took ownership of the problem and had us select another setting. We sat down with them and selected a setting that would fit her best. The new setting is perfect and she is extremely happy. The folks at the diamond guild are world class customer service experts. Doug was fantastic while helping me fiancé and I to pick out an appropriate setting and stone for our taste and price range. Even though we didn't have a huge price range, it was refreshing to work with a manager who gave even the highest level of attention to a buyer who wasn't necessarily spending the most money. He even coordinated a whole elaborate story with my fiancé so that I would be "thrown off the track," so to speak. Of course this helped me enjoy a proposal that was still somewhat of a surprise! A few years ago, I bought two pieces of jewelry here, one was custom made. I asked if they could take my emerald tennis bracelet and create a necklace out of it. Throughout the process I was told it was possible, only to receive a call where they informed me that they were having difficulty with the softness of the stones. They then proceeded to give me a necklace that looked completely unfinished and the sales person tried to tell me that it was "beautiful and amazing" as I looked on in horror. Needless to say, they completed it and I left with a necklace that was ok but far below my expectations. The necklace broke soon after and I kept it like that for a couple of years because I was so frustrated I couldn't even look at it. Today, I brought in the two pieces I bought and the salesperson clearly recognized me, she had the nerve to quote a price to fix it that was twice the amount that I was quoted at the jewelry exchange building downtown. No remorse for my terrible experience. I hadn't been to the store in years and this solidified that I will never return. Be wary of the quality here. I haven't been to Legacy Place in about a year. I noticed that they finally have a high end jewelry store and I had to go in! When I walked in I was greeted with a nice "Hello" and made to feel very welcome. I looked around and was impressed with the quality and selection that they have. Leslie, the sales associate I was working with, mentioned they have a Wish List that they keep on file so I filled that out...hopefully I will get something off that for my holiday gift this year! Just purchased an engagement ring here last Thursday and it came in 3 days. What a great place and a wonderful, professional staff. Doug was so helpful and mindful of my price range. He made it a point to tell me the stone was EGL certified and it would be rated a little lower under GIA. This is information I wouldn't have known to ask, and the whole experience just felt right from the beginning. Do not go there!!! The absolute most dishonest outfit there is. They claim that they pay the highest price for gold, but what they don't tell you ahead of time is their fees - which is close to 50%. They tried to justify their ridiculous fees by telling me that my 24K gold chains (tested as 24K in their store!) contained other metals! They either didn't know what 24K meant or they were just bunch of liars and cheats. You decide. read more

Very dissapointing experience. While they display great products, and the staff is very friendly and polite, I did not get what I paid for. Three months ago I placed an order with them and they told me it would take two weeks to arrive. It did not arrive and they told me to wait another two weeks.
