We got the lemon poppyseed cake and it was the biggest slice of cake I've ever seen (photos don't do it justice, it was bigger than our heads!) - it was a bit too sweet for my liking but the savory dishes were really delicious. I would love to try other items on their menu. We got seated at the outside bar table. Our servers were sweet and friendly. Parking lot in front with limited spots. Come early because it gets busy!

Had a total party size of two. We even added our names, but when we got led to our seats, we were put at the barstools. There were plenty of other parties of two that arrived after us that got tables plus there were some empty tables for two that we saw as well. So we requested a table instead of the bar area, but the server told us the manager didn't want us sitting there. Didn't make much sense when there were empty tables. Maybe they had some reasoning or structure for weekend crowds they they had to follow, not sure, but we had to stay seated at the bar area. We ordered a Margherita pizza to split as well as a slice of carrot cake as I've heard a lot of good things about these items. The pizza had really fresh ingredients and the sauce and tomatoes were tasty, however the dough was incredibly salty and made it difficult to eat. This was my first time at Deru Market, but I assume it isn't always this salty and could have been a one-time thing. The slice of carrot cake was pretty expensive (around $14) but it's huge and good to split amongst 2-3 people. I liked the generous serving of nuts and shredded carrot inside. Cream cheese frosting was still a bit too sweet for me (think I prefer Deep Sea Sugar and Salt's to this) and I had to remove most of it, but the cake was overall pretty good though a little on the dry side. I get why this place is popular, but I don't think I had the best first time experience here. With the high number of positive reviews though, maybe they were just having a bad day since it was a Saturday and pretty crowded, so I'm hoping to come back again in the future, during like a seasonal special if they have any.

You can choose from a variety of fishes as well. They were pretty fresh and yummy. The guy working there was really nice. He had a lot of advice and suggestions. The place is literally a fish market so not a dine in place. Parking is ample. Otherwise, it's pretty quiet and calm. The stuff is sometimes pricey but when they do deals like this, it's worth it. Will probably be back for their sushi and sashimi special as well.

But the lunch omakase special is what I really wanted I think. But even so. The poke bowl was mixed. I have to unfortunately knock off the stars/taste because the rice I got was literally the worst rice I've ever had touching raw fish. The rice was like hard and stale. I even had a clump that looked like it was the burnt part from leaving it on the cooker for too long and it couldn't bite it. I know this place is for the fish, but there's a bare minimum expectation on rice quality. And the fish itself was good? Maybe cuz it's the poke and not the omakase (so mixed chopped pieces) but there were pieces that tasted super fresh and delicious and then there were pieces that had so much tendon I couldn't bite through it. The folks there were super nice and friendly especially since I had no idea what to order. Just wish I was more delighted by the meal, especially cuz it was like $18 poke bowl. I'll give it another try with hopes it's better next time.

DUE' CUCINA @ TOTEM LAKE…read more Parking is available on the street, and there are usually a few spots right in front of the restaurant if you're lucky enough to grab one. You can also park in the larger Totem Lake shopping area near Trader Joe's and the surrounding shops, where there is typically plenty of parking available. Unless you're visiting on a busy weekend, finding a spot usually is not much of an issue. I've actually been to their Redmond location before, so I already had a good idea of what to expect. The ordering process is very customizable, allowing you to choose your noodles, sauce, toppings, and other add ons. It's a great option if you're a picky eater or simply want to try something different and create a meal that fits your preferences. I always order the pesto pasta because their pesto sauce is absolutely delicious. The ingredients taste fresh, and the portions are satisfying without feeling too heavy. The staff was very friendly during my visit, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. This is definitely more of a casual grab and go type of restaurant. You clean up after yourself, and the service is quick, making it a great choice for a lunch break or a casual meal with a friend. Overall, it's a simple, convenient spot with good food and plenty of customization options

I'm honestly disappointed to write this review…read more I've been shopping at Goodies for about six months now. They sell dukkah (along with other condiments and seasonings) that are hard for me to find, which saves me the time of making them myself. I've also been buying my lamb from them. On July 3, I purchased two packs of lamb chops. One pack was perfectly fine, but the other was clearly spoiled. I still cooked the good pack, but it wasn't enough for everyone to have. I've been cooking lamb for years--I know how it should smell and how it should look. This meat was off. I called the next day to let them know, and they told me they would replace it. I explained that I live over an hour away, so I wouldn't be able to come back until I was in the area again. They assured me they would still honor the exchange. When I came in today, I was met with so much rudeness that I was honestly shocked. I felt embarrassed by the way I was treated. I had really enjoyed supporting this small business up until this point. Because I was so shaken by the interaction, I didn't even realize until I got home that I had originally purchased a six-pack of lamb chops, but I was only given a four-pack in exchange. When I returned the spoiled meat, the woman behind the counter insisted she would "never sell meat like that." I tried to show her the timestamped photo I had taken of the meat when I purchased it, but she refused to even look at it. At one point she said she "didn't know what my deal was," and then suggested it was somehow my refrigerator's fault before asking, rather dismissively, "Well, what do you want?" I'm a very understanding person. When you're selling raw meat, sometimes things happen. Products can spoil. I wasn't looking for an argument--I simply expected for the issue to be handled professionally and with kindness. Instead, I was treated as though I was trying to cause a problem. I'm sure many people will continue to shop here without issue. However, left feeling like I wasn't afforded the same courtesy or respect that other customers might have received. Maybe I would have been treated differently had I looked different. I can't say that for certain, but I also can't think of another reason I was met with such hostility when I approached the situation politely and respectfully from the very beginning. No customer should leave feeling the way I did. The top pack of lamb pictured was perfect. The bottom pack smelled bad and was greenish in person. As you can see via time stamp - I purchased the lamb on the 3rd and began to cook it on the 4th of July.
