Do not recommend this company. They were assigned to us via our Home Warranty company. Although Angela was prompt with her initial call to me to get scheduled and understand the issue, the tech was flakey. He unfortunately came to the house, took off some drywall, claimed he needed to run back to North Phoenix (we are in far east valley) to get a Pex gun (why he didn't already have that is beyond me) and said he would be back that same day to complete the job. 5:30 rolled around and he never showed. Tried calling and it went to VM as they were closed. I called the next day around 9:30am and Angela stated that our tech was in a meeting and she wasn't sure what was going on. They gave us the run around a few times, even my husband called and it was just weird zero explanation as to where this guy was or what happened. Finally around 2pm that same day, I called our Home Warranty company and they were confused because per AV Plumbings notes, they had an appointment that morning between 8a-9a to come and complete the job- though no one ever showed up. They refused assigning a new tech/company to the job so I threatened to leave. Within an hour, it was reassigned to Summit Plumbing and he was in and out within 45 minutes and completed. Wouldn't trust this place. Posting the communication below.

Leaking water heater. They could have quoted repair before removing it!!

Horrible Horrible experience. Bullshit fees and Ransom for my own warranty water heater. Removed my water heater and then quoted the repair 24 hours later. I'm in Gilbert and they made me go to Phoenix to pickup my own water heater they took after estimate. I requested they come back to complete the repairs and they refused. No hot water for 3 days, my home flooded. They are connected to American Home Shield and they play games to get more money. My service fee should have covered it all. They lied about what else needed to be done. Don't use this company if they will lie to your face. They had a chance for good customer service... Get a quote before anything is done!!!! Tony

Arid Valley showed up very quickly when my water heater broke unexpectedly. They brought a couple options for me to choose from and the install was done professionally and in a timely manner.

After complaint they knocked price to $200. What? Come on. Really.

Not happy. Think twice before being assigned AVP as a contractor through a warranty company. After going back and forth we were without hot water for 1 month. Waiting on various approvals. The wrong water heater was ordered (by warranty company) and then I was charged an extra trip fee of $250 by AVP just to drive to my house. AVP charged me $500 for "modifications" and $350 for floor coverings (when I complained they knocked it down to $200) for a piece of cardboard and sheet of plastic. I know plumbers be pricey but come on, this was a water heater install. My total out of pocket was $975 with a warranty. I will use someone else in the future. Floor covering pictures below.

    Water heater exhaust

Complete scam on work and pricing. Same situation as other complaints on yelp charging for modifications that are unnecessary and basic process of an install, also using my old original parts and charging for new. Check out the photo of the exhaust vent, all the original venting parts except for that small piece of aluminum at the top that cost me $200, seems reasonable... right?!? This is all part of a $650 invoice scam for unnecessary so called modifications. Side note it took them 14 days to pull this robbery. Worst plumbing company practices in the valley stay clear from this so called business.

My husband and I recently bought our first home, and while trying to complete some minor upgrades, we discovered mold. We immediately panicked, assuming the absolute worst. After reading their excellent reviews, I decided to give them a call--and I am so glad I did. Everyone who came out to our house was incredible, friendly, and deeply professional. They made an incredibly stressful situation completely painless, and they treated our home as if it were their own. One important tip for future customers: This company focuses strictly on remediation, meaning they do not handle the reconstruction or repairs (like replacing drywall) once the mold is gone. This wasn't an issue for me--I simply called around and found a local contractor to patch things up afterward--but it's important to go in with the right expectations and always ask questions! The team members we worked with deserve individual recognition: Brandan came out first to rule out any active plumbing leaks. Once he confirmed the mold wasn't plumbing-related, he kindly offered to inspect the rest of our new home's plumbing. He caught a few minor issues, explained his recommendations clearly, and provided no-pressure quotes. We are so relieved to finally have a trustworthy plumber on speed dial! He then immediately looped in their mold specialist, Ruben. Ruben arrived the very same day to assess the mold and provide a fair quote. He was incredibly sympathetic to our situation and reassured us that he would remove as little material as possible while keeping the home safe and thorough. We immediately knew we were in good hands. A few days later, Ruben and Ivan completed the work. They were punctual, efficient, and surprisingly quiet. Not only did they finish on time, but they also managed to save an entire wall and our builder shelves. Because they saved the wall, Ruben actually adjusted our final invoice down to reflect the lower material removal--a massive financial relief for first-time homebuyers. Ruben took extensive photos, walked me through the containment zone to explain their findings, and even returned the next day to walk my husband through the exact same breakdown so we were both fully informed. The final report they provided was incredibly thorough, detailing every single step with photographic evidence. My husband can be very picky about contracted work, and even he was completely impressed and had zero critiques. We were so incredibly stressed, and the calm presence and expertise this team brought into our home was invaluable. After a separate, highly disappointing experience with a different local plumbing company just days prior, "Good Time" completely restored our faith in local businesses. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
