I had a new AC system installed. It went well; however a couple days later, I noticed the pre-cooling temperature was at normal room temp. Many attempts were made by different employees to learn why the system wouldn't cool down when programmed. The thermostat and HVAC employees thought it was the high Phoenix temps and the fact that I had a manufactured home. I was very persistent, calling often, attempting to find a "realistic" solution. Finally, the system got replaced with a much better brand. Hallelujah! It's fixed. Sometimes starting over is the best answer. Wolfgang worked right along with me all the way. There was no giving up. Terrible customer service. I purchased an air conditioning unit from a company that then years later was bought out by Wolfgangs Cooling, Heating and Plumbing. My unit was under warranty for another two years. Last Friday the unit stopped cooling, and I called and a technician came out and diagnosed the outdoor condenser fan motor had failed. The technician, Pat, said they might be able to get part on Saturday and install it. Then he proceeded to try and sell me a new unit, when I declined, the conversation turned and maybe they wouldn't be able to get the part on Saturday.... He sat across from my sister who is on oxygen and myself trying to get us to buy a new unit. He wanted to see my original warranty and kept saying how old my unit was... My sister is terminally ill and is taken care of in our home where her medical supplies are kept. I called Wolfgangs on Saturday morning and was told they would not be getting the part Saturday but on Tuesday, and it would be installed on Wednesday. I told them that my sister was ill and needed to be in her home with her medical supplies. They then said they could get the part on Monday and install Tuesday. We had to leave our home due to it being 95 degrees inside and my sister's illness. I asked to speak to a manager and was told "they all just went into a meeting." I CALLED BULLSHIT. Asked for someone to call me back and never received a call from anyone. This is terrible customer service. I called on Tuesday morning and cancelled my service call and my service agreement with them and not one question was asked, so that tells me they do not want my business. A friend called their air conditioning company and when the tech came out and said they had the part on their truck and fixed the unit. They also charged me $128 service fee which I have a service contract with them and the unit being under warranty should not have been charged. So, they are also thieves. read more

FYI I should have asked what the cost would be to complete a A/C drain line cleaning and that is my mistake. I didn't think it would cost $393.00 and will be asking that question in the future. I told Wolfgang's that I just had a total knee replacement surgery so that the technician could enter my home without me trying to walk to the front door. After the technician completed the condensation drain cleaning he asked to use our vacuum to clean up attic insulation that had fallen and I told him where it was so he could clean up the insulation. After my physical therapist left I used my walker to check the area and when I saw the insulation in the floor in my hallway, in my laundry room on the shelf in the laundry room and out my front door I used my vacuum to clean up the mess that was left. I will not use a company that does such a piss poor job of cleaning up after themselves or charges that much for a drain pipe cleaning. read more

We signed a service contract with Wolfgang's plumbing and heating. They first visited in early December and I had mentioned that half the building didn't feel like it was cooling down correctly. The tech said that he disconnected something that didn't need to be attached. He just did it without me giving approval and said that "we didn't need it". We saw them again 6 months later (about two weeks ago) and I complained that half the building didn't seem to be cooling down correctly. The tech said that it was probably a faulty thermostat and that I should replace it. So I replaced both units and the issue persisted. I reached out to the brand that created the thermostat and they walked me through a couple of tests that indicated there was not enough power coming down to the thermostat. Instead of going through Wolfgang's I decided to check with the previous company I had worked with (Windy City Equipment). I called them out and mentioned everything that I stated in the previous paragraph. The tech advised me that the wiring was not correct on the top of the building, in addition the blower motor was only cycling. The tech advised that it had a bad ecm and now to repair the units we are anticipating a $1500 repair. Wolfgang's had visited our store twice and despite me complaining they did nothing. Talk about stealing your money and walking away. Total BS, thanks for nothing. read more

We had our annual review of our home with Donald Osburn, Field Supervisor. He was AMAZING and thorough. He had a trainee with him who also had impressive plumbing expertise. We have 2 homes on our property and very hard water. Lots of issues with pipes clogging with minerals. Donald shared and showed us the build up going on within pipes and also leading to appliances. We put together a plan to improve our water quality, repair some failing faucets/toilets, address some high risk areas (water heater) and give us great quality water. They came 3 days later and installed everything, took pictures, showed us all of the improvements and found discounts for us. We were SO happy. After they left......we lost all hot water to the house. When we called to complain we didn't receive great help from the phone person. We were able to get in contact with Donald and explain the situation. We were disappointed and even though he hadn't worked on the water heater he volunteered to come back out and help figure it out.....that day!! It turned out the hard water he had been worried about had finally plugged a main pipe to the water heater AS HE HAD PREDICTED could happen. GENIUS!! He fixed it and apologized for our inconvenience. Donald is professional, knowledgeable, honest, and quick to take care of the customer. We are so grateful and will request him specifically for all future care of our home. Asked if they could price match was told they were priced higher because of "Overhead". I am done with the incompetence of this company . 7/125 Zac botched a repair and no part was available 7/10/25 David came with the part ( we have had no AC at all in the house with a 5 year old living in the house ) David completed the repair AC was working .8/23/25 AC system froze over again same problem as before Emilio came out after a very heated argument on the phone with the 24 hour service line . He said no leak yet the unit was 1.5 pounds of coolant low HOW is that possible on a closed system that was completely drained and refilled on 7/10/25 to the proper coolant operation level !!!!!! Just over one month later 1.5 pounds of coolant disappeared by magic ??? I am done i will be going to the office of the ROC in the morning to file a formal complaint against this company i am done playing games and giving chances. read more

This company charged a 90-year-old woman a thousand $29 for installing two toilet tank kits. The plumber was there less than an hour . They said they do not give an itemized receipt. That is quite understandable . That would amount to weigh over $500 an hour . All I can say is , watch yourself if you call this company . They wanted $850 just for labor to replace a leaking water filter tank that was still under warranty. Then they refused to share information about the supplier for the tank we needed. My excellent plumbing company, West Coast Plumbing (the best!), did it for $300, including buying a new new tank, after spending 3 or 4 hours here researching the supplier without charging me a penny for their time! After multiple times to get them here nicely on my end, a manager named Bruce got on the line and started running me over talking over me and raising his voice at me and got upset and refused me service because he got mad that I asked him nicely to please let me finish speaking. I have only used your service for maintenance and have always been happy. My technician today was Jack and he was super friendly and explained the service he was performing and explained any issues he found. Very disappointed in this company. Last year I had a technician that seemed very knowledgeable and fair. My unit is less than 4 years old and he said it was a very good installation, in good shape and didn't need a thing. This year a different technician told me it was a poor installation and there were "many problems". Recommended over $4K worth of "maintenance" or possibly buying a new unit from them. Since it is fairly new and is and has always worked fine I am ignoring their "recommendations". I felt like I was being completely targeted and price gouged. The sole aim was to extract as much money from me as possible. I will be calling another company in the future. read more

Bought a new unit 2.5 years ago, its been worked on by these people in the past 2.5 years. Asked for service because the heater was not working back in November per the technician they did not put in the order correctly and still to this day not fixed. Got tired of waiting so I called another company and they said they will not work on it because the poor service job that this company did. Got a hold of one of the managers at Wolfgang and he just denied the bad workmanship that his company did and offered a few hundred in discount. I explained that a new unit should not need this much attention and should require this much work. We called this company for a warranty repair on our RHEEM Hot Water Heater, asking clearly, "Do you do warranty work on RHEEM products?" We were told, "Yes, we do, but there is a trip charge OF $99 and likely a labor charge for the time spent". We knew the parts were warranty covered, and we knew from other vendors it would take about one hour to do the labor. We said yes, since this company could come to our home the same day and the others were 2 day wait times. We also requested only OEM ("Original Equipment Manufacture") parts. Since we new what was needed, we gave them the Model Number of the unit to assure they had the correct equipment. When they arrived, they quickly (less than one hour) replaced the parts and departed. Later that day, we discovered the unit was still not working correctly, and the parts were NOT OEM. The next day the Service Person appeared and changed out the parts again, this time with what appeared to be OEM. This took about 35 min. For this "repair" we were charged $640 to our CC. We were told the price of the parts would be refunded to the card as soon as RHEEM verified the coverage (We had already verified the coverage), which we knew to be in place. This credit was NOT made to our account by Wolfgang's Heating and Cooling. We called their Service Manager, Mr. Leslie, who stated flatly, "Wolfgang's does NOT charge an hourly rate. We charge a Flat Rate to repair the appliance. That flat rate to you is $640". Mr. Leslie also stated, "We do not work directly with RHEEM on their warranties". This certainly appears to be deceptive advertising and is quite "confusing" to the public. If their Scheduling Person had clearly stated they don't do RHEEM warranty work and they charge Flat Rate fees, we NEVER WOULD HAVE USED THEM. We did offer to remove and return their parts at our expense and pay only their $99 trip charge (also quite high), but they refused. BEWARE THIS COMPANY read more

Disappointing customer service. We purchased their premium AC unit in November 2022. During last nights major rain storm there is a leak coming from our AC return into our hallway. Our roof is only 6 years old. We called Wolfgang this morning because we believe this is an install issue. Why else would the roof leak at the AC unit? Parts and labor have a 10 year warranty. We were told that because it has been over a year (13 months since install) we would have to pay them $109 diagnostic fee. This is non-refundable even if it is found it was an install issue. Just making people aware that this issue has now caused water damage to the interior of my house. There are companies out there that will stand by their work and not Nickle and Dime their customers. I had this company install my new unit 2 years ago. I was talked into the "Maintenance Package" by the salesman and was led to believe I chose the plan that would cover all maintenance needs. Every "maintenance check-up" since then, I have been quoted for additional repairs on what should be considered maintenance items, like cleaning the coils. It seems like this company just wants to talk you into a maintenance plan so they can have an excuse to come out every 6 months and quote you for excessive charges. I just have to pay an additional $800 for cleaning the internal coils and the blower motor, which are all maintenance items. Luckily my contract will be up with them soon and I will be finding a different company to utilize for annual maintenance and inspections. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy, save yourself some heartache and go somewhere else. read more

I had a single handle shower valve go bad on a Sunday. I called Wolfgang's Plumbing and spoke to Savannah and got scheduled. They were the only company willing to help which was important because I had no water due to a corroded and broken pipe. I was later contacted by Jeff Orr. I explained my situation in detail provided pictures as well. This was very late afternoon. Jeff had a tech available but since it was late he wasn't sure if he could get the part. Jeff explained everything very clearly to me. Jeff went further, and while his tech was getting ready to, Jeff was already working to get the part to be sure they could get my situation repaired. His tech Jay showed up, again, very late on a Sunday. Jay was pleasant. Professional and got straight to the job..There are not enough good and kind things I can say about this experience with Wolfgang's. It was a bad situation from the start when I attempted the repair. This went as smooth as it could have. Jay worked late into the night with an exceptional attitude. He was informative. He explained pricing before he began. From start to finish he was great..I can absolutely say that this experience, the level of professionalism all of it was spot on. You definitely do not get this treatment by service providers anymore. I highly recommend Jeff and Jay at Wolfgang's Plumbing and when I need something else plumbing related, I'll be calling Wolfgang's without a doubt. We purchased our water heater from API plumbing, which they installed in October 2016. Wolfgangs later bought out API. We learned this morning (July 15, 2022) that the heater had shut off and after following the procedure on the side of the tank for 10 minutes; I was unable to restart it. I called Wolfgangs and they said there would be a $99 fee if there were no parts installed. The rep came out and after 10 minutes, found the problem and restarted the unit, but also indicated the gas control knob was causing the problem, but it was made of plastic and wasn't designed to last too long in this heat. He also noted the water heater showed corrosion (it doesn't), so I told him I drained it twice a year since its purchase. I asked him shouldn't it be under warranty, as the API rep that installed it wrote the date of installation along with his name on the front of the heater. He looked it up on his technology and confirmed the water heater was indeed under full warranty, and confirmed it through the manufacturer. He told me he could pick a new one up and come back and install the new product. I gave the okay...he left, but returned in 10 minutes to tell me he was informed by the office to let me know the installation on the new heater would be $1200!! I told him that was more than I paid for the old WH including installation back in 2016. I told him I declined. He left. An hour later I got an email from Wolfgangs informing me I still owed the $99 fee as no parts were installed. I declined to pay - it's under a full warranty. If the gas control knob is bad, at the very least, the gas control knob button or electronics should be replaced at no charge. I am NOT paying them $99 for a product that is still under warranty. wow.just wow!!Our AC went Thursday and i called my warranty company. they said one could come April 9, the other, april 14!! i recalled seeing Wolfgang's truck in my condo community so i called them. Derrick came out this afternoon and an hr.later, house is cooling!! no upsell, very polite, thorough, spotless clean up and the diagnosis helped us dodge the bullet. Derrick was amazing. we are likely due for a new unit in the next year or so as ours is 15 years old but if the service and attitude of all the Wolfgang technicians are like Derrick, we are in good hands. thanks Wolfgang's! read more
