A leak was coming out at a pretty fast pace from an old galvanized pipe. We Have used Ariels service for years, and I have to say his crews are some of the most competent people I have ever experienced. Whether it is electrical, plumbing , cement work ,running electricity to obscure areas, or any home improvement you might think of. They are not only prompt but they leave no mess actually they leave the area worked on cleaner than it was before. My neighbor is a plumber but I wouldn't think of using him as Ariels prices are so fair ,it would be ridiculous to consider any other source. I also had a pipe break in my living room, the water caved in the plaster on the ceiling they were there within minutes and they fixed the pipe. Ariel sent over two plumbers to solve a leak problem I had in my ceiling. They were two of the most inept plumbers (were they even real plumbers?) that I have ever had at my house. Even before they investigated the situation, they wanted to break a hole into the ceiling. They spoke in another language the entire time they were here, basically cutting me off from any input I could have in discussing the problem. In the end they didn't even have the smarts to replace a small valve that would have at least temporarily stop the leak...I had to suggest that! read more

I should have written this last year but we just had another need to call Ariel so I'm reviewing! My mother recommended Ariel last year when we had a mysterious leak under our house. My husband is Mr Fixit so he tried to repair a damaged pipe unsuccessfully. Ariel's crew showed up and told us for $3.50 we could buy a pipe capper type thing and there would be no charge. That worked like a charm. Two months later a pipe on the other side of the (80yr old spanish) house and his crew came again. They fixed the problem and were super nice. However, 40 days later a similar break happened near the same place. Arial said "if it was within 30 days I'd be there for free, but I have to charge you half." It was not even the same break, but just our old pipes! Eventually we replaced the plumbing and that has helped. This week we had to call him again for a kitchen sink plug. He said he'd come over in 2 hours and he was true to his word. His customer service skills are amazing and his crew is very nice. Yes some of them speak Spanish but we know enough to communicate easily; and many of his crew are bilingual! read more

At the time I was thinking it will only be a matter of time before mine fails too - both houses were built the same year. One year later and sure enough the exact same thing happened to my water main. Based upon my neighbor's positive experience I had no hesitation in choosing to use Ariel to replace mine too. Warning. Hired this company to replace 2 faucet washes on a sink in my master bathroom. Which I should have done myself! They replaced the washers and then proceeded to go under the sink and tighten the faucet which WAS NOT leaking and did NOT need tightening. My husband had shut the water off that morning under the sink and usually you may have a tiny drop of water when doing so. My housekeeper uses cleaning supplies stored under the sink EVERY week and this faucet did NOT leak. But his guys tightened the faucet so tight they broke my faucet and unfortunately I can not just replace the spout I now need to get new fixtures for the bathroom. Upon finding this out Ariel said to me do all your fixtures need to match. Oh really are you kidding me. I told him yes so now it is going to cost me thousands of dollars to replace faucets and fixtures in my shower. Sure I could go to Home Depot and get cheap but sorry I don't do cheap! I prefer top of the line. In my book Ariel gives a lot of lip service. read more

I had a significant amount of work to do on my sister's property when she died suddenly and I needed to fix the place up for her kids to live in with some other family members. Needless to say, I needed someone EXCELLENT (professionally competent, fair pricing, timely and engaged) given the fragile emotional state we were all in. Being cautious, I got 6 total bids for the work which Ariel eventually performed (electrical and plumbing). Best experience ever, and I am not easy to please being an attorney. Ariel himself stayed very engaged, unlike previous contractors we've had who are all smiles, take your money, then you never see them again, only their people. (BTW, make sure you read the Contractors License law so you know what you are entitled to). I am planning Phase 2 now, and am also queuing up work for Ariel's Improvements to do at my home. My tankless water heater wasn't working. My home warranty company sent over a plumber who looked at my water heater and said it was an electrical problem and that I needed an electrician. This plumber was not helpful and wanted to charge me for looking at the water heater. I then called Ariel. I told him my problem, and he said that he did not take care of my particular water heater problem. But then over the phone, he analyzed my problem and told me what was wrong. Before I got off the phone he told me that I could call him on his cell if I had any other questions. With his advice, I was able to fix the electrical problem with my water heater.
