I received a call back from Mary Jo early the next morning and she recounted my problems. She explained that Carlos was not available until the following week but she could get Santiago who works with Carlos to our house the next day in the late afternoon. Today she called and explained that Santiago was available earlier. He arrived within an hour of her call. Santiago repaired the drain and installed the new faucet that we purchased the previous evening. He was efficient and respectful of our home and kitchen. Highly recommend! 9/10 (9 only because they never even had to come to my house!!). I had sudden onset water hammer (pipes rattling in the walls) after I installed a bidet and was 30 seconds from agreeing to pay 250$ to a local plumbing company which blind quoted me install of a water hammer arrestor (Arrestor costs 30$ btw). I had called Flintridge rooter earlier in the morning (unfortunately but a good sign that all the plumbers were already out in the field) I was told they would call back as soon as they could. And they did! I spoke with CARLOS who, wait for it, listened to me about the problem. He was able to educate me, walked me through over the phone, and voila problem fixed! I needed a new earthquake valve installed into my gas line. The only problem was that the gas meter was located in a cramped spot and the line branched into two separate lines into the house (3/4" and 1/2"), leaving no obvious location to place the valve. A couple different plumbers came by and gave me both a) outlandish quotes and b) confusing explanations about the work involved. Carlos from Flintridge Rooter came by and gave me a clear explanation about how he was going to solve the problem and also explained how he bills for his time, resulting in a reasonable, affordable estimate. Another issue, another quick solution from Carlos. Had gas leaks confirmed throughout the crawlspace and SocalGas had to shut off gas late saturday night.
