* 1st visit never told us they were coming. * 2nd visit again didn't tell us they were coming, and when I arrived home, our hot water heater was removed from the back of our rental unit and I needed to shower and leave the house. So I had no running water and no hot water heater for three hours. * Our water pressure was messed up all over our rental unit from them not communicating turning the water back on and I called them and they said it had nothing to do with their visit. * 3rd visit no show, no call. * I sent a text message and I got a phone call. They said sorry we had an emergency. We couldn't come ,no problem these things happen, could they come the next day? Sure, could they text me in the morning to let me know what time? Yes they will call me in the morning. 11 AM the next day and no call or text with the time to come. * Then the owner called me and I started to explain to him what had happened the day before and he told me to 'STOP Talking'. * I grew up in Chicago around vendors. We have been using their services intermittently for many years, based on other reviews. The work has been average at best, and we have twice had to call them back out after a job to fix something that was not fully repaired in the first place. As a bonus bummer, we discovered recently that the repair person had wiped his hands, covered in black oil, on our new white shower curtain--!! Their customer service has gone WAY downhill, and our last attempt to schedule something was a huge headache. Note: This review is solely for the quote I received over the phone since I was thoroughly impressed with my interaction with Richard. Unfortunately they weren't available the same day so I went with someone else who was. My water pressure regulator / main sprung two leaks but that wasn't the only problem. Sent Richard a video and he was able to tell me in detail and with accuracy (confirmed by the plumbers that came out) what I needed fixed and also gave me an estimate. I told him I wanted to get at least a second opinion and he was gracious about it. Didn't try to pressure me or anything and made sure I had all the information I needed. Thank you, Richard! I have never dealt with a more unprofessional person/ company in my entire 55 years. the only saving grace this OWNER has is a competent and professional staff working under him, They fixed every problem that he created. Much to his chagrin. He is unhelpful mean angry and incredibly rude They finally came out and worked on correcting the simple issues that should not have been issues in the first place. And yes the issue was an easy fix - but getting the guy to fix it was no easy task - which is so important when you're dealing w people, if you paid them and it was guaranteed it should be easy - in my experience- it wasn't - not in the least bit My simple argument You plumbed the house , it's your work and it didn't last a month - you should fix it - anyone with integrity would do so. I think 100 % of people would agree with that statement It's that simple - integrity - honoring your work and bringing your A game to fix the issues you caused. That shouldn't be an issue. Dick made it an issue. That's what Dick likes to do The owner of this place is unprofessional- abusive - and incredibly rude. If there's one thing I can't stand for service professionals, it's when the quotes change for no legitimate reason. We recently bought a new condo and called Bubbles due to recommendations in a local moms group. We gave a list of all the (minor) repairs and installations we wanted done and got a quote of $600. Richard said there was nominal cost for the shower fixtures we needed and the cost was primarily labor. They showed up early today to get the work done. The person who showed up (whose name I unfortunately didn't get) looked at the dishwasher to be installed and claimed it was a lot more work than he'd anticipate. He called Richard and then suddenly, the quote was $1000. When we asked how much to do just the shower repair (change the shower faucet fixture, cartridges, and flow diverter), it was $425. That lets me know the quote was inaccurate to start because that only leaves $175 to install the drain, garbage disposal, and dishwasher under the original quote. Due to what I felt was unethical behavior, we let them go and will look for another plumber. read more

Called Bubbles in the late morning on a Saturday with an emergency. We had turned off the water to our house to repair a leaky outside faucet. But the valve was a bit stiff and the handle broke off! And the valve was in the off position. So it was either spend the weekend without water or get a quick repair. Fortunately bubbles sent someone over and the replaced the entire valve before dinner time. And the price was reasonable for such an emergency repair.
