So I was optimistic about coming here to eat, since I'm new to the area. Always looking for a new place to try. I came here with my family and we ordered a few rolls. I ordered the sexy roll and a Sake Maki. To my surprise the Sexy Roll wasn't rolled with seaweed, which was different but still good and a nice kick of spice. The Sake Maki roll was about exactly what I wanted. Now, my only default is the quality/quantity of the rolls. While they were advertising 50% off all rolls while originally priced between $21-26 dollars on regular pricing. The rolls came about to about $12 a roll. And BOY did they skimp on the amount. It was about as thin as my finger. I've had my fare share of quality sushi and with an advertised pricing it was WORTH it. This place was not. Service was kind and attentive. Stopped in for lunch with my crew today and we enjoyed it. The restaurant is clean and well decorated, not overly done but simple and neat. The service was pretty good our waitress explained the menu and offered a couple suggestions that were on point. We ordered 5 different rolls because there all half off during the week for lunch, which was super dope. All the rolls were good and it was plenty of food. My partner and I went to Arigato Sushi for dinner on a Sunday night, and unfortunately, it was not a great experience--one we won't be repeating. We ordered a 3-item combo bento and a spicy tuna roll. The meal started off okay with the miso soup and salad. The miso soup was actually good, but the salad was absolutely drenched in dressing. After eating it, both my partner and I started experiencing stomach aches. I initially brushed it off, hoping it was nothing. Then came the spicy tuna roll, which lacked flavor and tasted like plain tuna mixed with chili pepper--no depth, no balance. Almost immediately after eating it, I had to rush to the restroom. When my bento arrived, the quality issues became even more obvious. The tuna was clearly frozen at some point and wasn't cold, but room temperature, which was extremely concerning. The teriyaki salmon was just okay but heavily sauced, and the chicken katsu was dry. I can see why this place might appeal to some, especially with their "half off" rolls, which looked generously covered in unagi sauce. However, it felt like sauce was being used to mask a lack of quality rather than enhance the food. Overall, between the questionable food handling, lack of flavor, and how we felt afterward, this was a disappointing and uncomfortable dining experience. I have been here several times over the years and the food is consistently good. I usually get a couple of rolls but today I felt like a bento box. The three item bento is definitely worth it since it's only a couple bucks more than a single item bento. I love their spicy edamame. It's the best one imo compared to other sushi places. The bento box comes with my favorite salad and a miso soup (although I don't think it comes with it if you order for Togo). I wish I could drink this dressing on this salad. Service was good. This is a okay sushi spot for rolls and light appetizers. Arigato has a huge selection of sushi rolls. Most of the rolls are covered in unagi sauce so be prepared for a sweeter sushi experience when ordering the rolls. I also noticed most of the rolls have avocado in them too. You can customize some rolls if you are allergic to specific foods. There is a small selection of appetizers. I liked the option of having no salt on the edamame. The agedashi tofu was served with the sauce and toppings (bonita flakes, seaweed, and green onion) on the side. Arigato serves two desserts that are not on the menu. They offered green tea and mochi ice cream. You just have to ask the waiter for dessert. I had the green tea ice. It was served with three scoops with whip cream. The ice cream had a nice texture and mild green tea flavor. Overall Arigato is a decent restaurant, good atmosphere, and friendly service. The only thing I did not like was the lack of rolls without unagi and avocado. read more

We went around 2pm & this place was hopping!!! We were greeted & seated pretty fast. We wanted ice water & they added lemon 2 it-delish!!! We each ordered 1 roll since it was in the middle of the day. I got the Golden Gate roll & Neenee got the Dragon roll. Love the little red beads (don't know what they r called) on top as well as the 2 sauces. My daughter really enjoys the Dragon roll. This spot has a cool vibe w/o being fancy or a dive!!! Came here on a Saturday with wife. She wanted a bento box and she likes the one a here. This spot gets pretty busy on the weekends so sometimes there's a little wait. This time we were seated super quick. Order was taken pretty fast too. The folks are pretty efficient. We both got bentos but with different protein. I got the tempura and sashimi. We both liked what we had right down to the miso soup. Took our time but the folks here are attentive and checked on us just in case. It was all pretty good. Came here on a weekend around 5pm and was seated fairly quickly. The menu is massive, and they advertise 50% off rolls, which initially sounded appealing. Lots of writing on the wall of advertisements. I ordered a 3-item bento with chicken teriyaki, chicken katsu, and tempura. It came with miso soup and a salad. The salad was drenched in dressing, making it pretty overwhelming. The miso soup was decent. While waiting for the bento, I started feeling some stomach discomfort. The chicken katsu had an aftertaste from the deep-fry oil that was distracting, and although the portions were generous, the overall quality felt lacking. About an hour after eating, I had to make an emergency bathroom trip. Overall, it might work if you're desperate for a sushi fix, but I'd recommend trying another spot instead. read more

Gave it another shot! That same hardworking server was still there and still carried a good disposition. The place was not as crowded like before. We got seated right away. Didn't wait long for the food. Portions were good. The spider roll although tasty was hard to eat. It was so loosely rolled that it fell apart as soon as you picked it up. I still like the mild creamy salad dressing they serve with the bento box. Funny that their "short staffed" sign looked like it's permanent and will always be an excuse if you get poor service. I've liked the arigato restaurants for a long time, unfortunately the service here in roseville has been pretty bad. Last 2 times we went our order was completely forgotten. First time the waitress asked who took our order (it was her) and what it was, so we decided to just leave and go somewhere else. Didnt go for a few weeks then just came back and the exact same thing happened but with a different waitress. She first told us it was coming out but then came back a few minutes later saying they just now started it. When it came out it was significantly smaller rolls than what we are used to at this place. I liked how the rolls don't taste exactly the same, which is something a few restaurants tend to do -- recycle the same ingredients under different names. Came in on a Sunday around 4:30, with 3 in our party. They weren't tooooo busy, but looked like they had two servers only. There were signs around the restaurant asking for patience since they were short staffed. Didn't mind being patient, we didn't have anywhere to be. The food for the most part was unfortunately bland. I ended up getting sick. The rice on the lion king roll was crispy, almost burnt. Not enough sauce. The one okay roll was the spider. Best part of the meal in my opinion was the miso soup, Calamari and stuffed mushrooms. They kept our water refilled, but they didn't really check up on how our food was. I don't think I'll go back, which was unfortunate since they're almost the only sushi place you can come across that's open on a Sunday. read more
