You gotta love this place. It's an institution --- the interior feels like you walked into a sub shop from 1988, and I mean that in the best way. Ari, the man himself is ALWAYS in there himself captaining the ship, asking his customers how they're doin --- it's the best chicken parm sub in the area. This pizza and sub shop definitely has a lot of character. It's an order at the counter place and the dining area feels like being at a small museum. The walls are covered with hundreds of framed signed/autographed pictures of celebrities, TV personalities, professional athletes, musicians/bands, and local politicians. This collection definitely rocks! There are also arcade games (Star Wars, California Speed, & Toy Taxi) too! I stopped in at Ari's for lunch very recently. During lunch hours, pizza slices, though not huge are only $1, can't beat that! They also make whole pizza pies, subs, sandwiches, appetizers, dinner plates, salads, cold drinks (Coke products & juices), and Richardson's Ice Cream. The menu prices already include tax, which is a great thing. I wish more places would do this since calculating the meals tax is a bit of a pain. I ordered a large chicken finger sub and 2 pizza slices for lunch. The food was pretty good and the chicken fingers were nice and crispy outside and tender inside. The pizza slices had a good crisp crust with a thick tomato sauce, and a good amount of browned melted cheese. read more

I had been ordering from a local restaurant for 20+ years. They changed hands a few times, but it was always consistent. Well, the most recent owner has changed everything now, and it's not to my liking. I'd been searching for a couple of years to find a similar type pizza that I liked. Yeah, Ari's fits the bill. A few weeks back we ordered 2 chicken caesar wraps. Both wraps completely fell apart the second we touched them. We turned it into a salad and ate it, no complaints. Today, we went back and tried the wraps again because we like their chicken. Wouldn't you know it, when trying to pick the thing up from the paper, it broke apart and was not edible as I was driving. 0 for 2 with the wraps, we won't be ordering those again. Even worse than the wraps, was the attitude of the young blonde girl behind the counter. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but from the second I walked in to order, I felt awkward even being there. It was like I was bothering her by bringing business through the door. I did wait over a half hour for the wrap to be made today, and I didn't say anything, but I was hoping she would say "sorry for the wait" or something. Nope, nothing. So when today's episode with the wrap falling apart happened, I turned around and drove back. I explained to her that I waited a half hour for my wrap and I couldn't eat it because it fell apart when I opened it. She looked extremely irritated. Not even a "sorry about that" or anything. I waited a few minutes, and they remade it this time using Syrian bread. Syrian bread? It was disgusting. I really like Ari himself, the owner, and we've had good experiences there in the past, but if this is the type of service and quality we're going to continue getting, I think we'll eat somewhere else. Our family LOVE Ari's! They have the best hot pastrami sub around. It's not very fatty, tons of flavor and the sub is huge. Their other subs are very good also. The best though in my opinion is they deliver Ice Cream & Richie's Slush! How cool is that? Everyone working behind the counter is very respectful and friendly. LOVE LOVE LOVE Ari's. Everything about this place is amazing BUT the young girl at the counter. EXTREMELY rude. Took my sisters there to get ice cream around 8:15 pm. We walked in as rap music was playing and the girl said "what do you need" i said we would like to get ice cream to go and she told us that we needed to "give her a minute because she was busy" She proceeded to do what she was doing and told someone else to help us. (Which they did) When we were paying she basically ripped my credit card from my hand. She was SOOOO very rude to mikey as well. Which is VERY sad and disgusting. I love Ari's but don't really want to go there anymore because of how rude she was. I'm disappointed. My family loves to go there/order from there. read more

I have been a customer of Ari's for several years now. It was a 5 star local sub shop, but something has recently changed. I have always loved their cheeseburger subs, The meat had a specific special flavor, it was delicious! Now its just plain hamburger. I switched to their steak and cheese sub, which used to be so overloaded you needed a fork to eat the excess before you could eat the sub, not anymore. The steak and cheese sub I recieved tonoght was very good but not what I expected, I was expecting more. This sub shop has gone from 5 star to avereage. I am so disapointed. read more

I live near Ari's and have been a customer for about a decade now. The food was great when I first starting coming, the cheeseburger special was five dollars and great! Now, its about eight dollars and its quality has gone down considerably, it's like eating a hockey puck. read more

Not only that but the counter girl who's name I didn't catch was very outgoing and the owner went out of his way to get me everything I needed. I will definately be going back for more. The only reason I give Ari's pizza shop three stars out of five is because the dough was under done and flavor wise it was good but the dough was drooping so I thought "ok this isn't good", but possibly because it was a rainy day I don't know. If you give your well known customers 110% and since I was new to this place I would've thought as an owner of any establishment you would want to try and win over a new customer. read more
