I took an intro to aerial silks class and the hour flew by! It costs $25 for a drop in class which isn't bad. There's a lounge to the right when you first walk in and if you go left there's some really old lockers. But down that hallway to the main room there are cubbies. We started the class doing some warm ups before we moved over to the silks. We learned how to climb the silks, do a foot lock, inversion, and an inverted climb! I do wish the class sizes were smaller though. There were basically 2 people for every set of silks and it was hard to get help when I needed guidance on the next move. There were also a few people learning more difficult skills so the instructor was almost teaching 2 classes in 1. read more

Had a class with the owner, and he did a great job. The place was a teeny bit hard to see at night, but we walked in through the main hallway and it all made sense. Walkable distance (~10 minutes) from the 56 bus. They teach every kind of circus skill here and had multiple classes going at once, which made it really cool to watch all the different classes, even if it made the facility a little crowded. I made a yelp account just to review this business. It changed my life. 5 months ago I had no regular exercise routine, and my confidence was at an all time low. After taking silks with Tani, I couldn't stop coming back, and it is one of the only things I've done where I notice a real difference in my strength and skill set. Now I've taken four different classes, and only wish I had the money to come more than once or twice a week. It truly is a judgment free gym. read more

I attended a Halloween themed showcase here while visiting from out of town. I take pole & aerial classes frequently in various studios around Southern AZ, and I was immediately impressed by the large, wearhouse type space here. Plenty of room for multiple apparatuses-I saw several different types of trapeze, aerial silks, and single and double point Lyras (aerial hoop), and aerial straps. I enjoyed the show, and particularly liked seeing performers of all ages, body types and abilities. After the showcase wrapped up, they invited the audience members to grab an instructor if they were interested in trying out the equipment. I was ecstatic because I have never tried trapeze or aerial straps before. A few of the performers gave me a quick tutorial on how to mount and I got to play. I'm looking forward to my next trip to Phoenix, so I can book a proper class. read more

What a fun place to get fit! I did an aerial fitness class with Taylor and it was INCREDIBLE. I wasn't able to do all of the positions or "tricks" but she helped me out with getting to a comfortable point in my practice. I'm definitely going back again! It is a great location, located within a few miles of multiple freeways so you can come in from a little further without a long commute. Far enough away from the road that there is no additional noise. Class sizes are small so you get a good amount of attention from the instructor. I highly recommend! read more

Even though there may be closer places I can go to, these ladies make it worth the drive and traffic for me to take classes with them. They are beyond amazing and the people they bring in to help teach some of the other classes are great! This studio is really a great place to learn aerial arts! The facility is nice and they have a variety of different arts to learn (silks, lyra, trapeze, etc..). I did have a hard time finding their suite at first because the sign isn't as noticeable as the other businesses around it. I took the Intro to Aerial class which was really a great first visit and I worked more muscles than I realized at the time. I think doing aerial arts/circus is a great way to work out, improve flexibility, and build muscles. It is much harder than they make it look! I like how you don't pay until you arrive and how you reserve your class spot on their online schedule. The check-in is easy. The class sizes seem to vary. My class on a Saturday morning only had 2 people, but the classes at later times seemed to have more. I really enjoyed it and I love the way it made me feel! The "drop-in" fee is $20 and they offer class packages for other prices. read more

The instructors did a great job of tailoring the class to our individual needs and provided a challenging, fun, and safe workout. Loved, loved, loved this place a year ago. could not give it enough stars. my daughter had an excellent birthday party and the prices were great. This year however I called twice a day for over a week. I left messages. I also sent emails trying to set up another birthday party. no one ever answered the phone, no one ever returned my calls, no one responded to my emails. so disappointed because my daughter absolutely loved this place last year for her birthday. I drive really far just to come here and sometimes the classes are great and the teachers are usually nice. However, recently I took a class that they over maxed out ( suppose to have only 10 kids in it) and there was close to 20. We stretched for 25 minutes, conditioned in the class for 15 min, and since there were so many people, only had a chance 2 times to go on the hoop and learned one small thing. It makes me feel that this company just cares about money - if they can get money for the class and have this many kids over, they clearly don't care about the customer experience. I hate how we stretch and condition for so long every class and​ leaves us no time doing the aerial things which is what I am paying a lot of money for. Also, every time I check-in​ for​ a class, they are very rude and makes me uncomfortable​. Lastly, the system they used to book classes has​ been terrible. Recently they switched​ over but then raised the prices and messed up all the different​ kinds of packages. I am very disappointed​ overall and will not be coming back.​ read more

I like the facility and the variety of different aerial arts that are available, such as silks, trapeze, lyra and corde lisse. There is plenty of space to move around but my one caveat is that it is not the cleanest floor so when going upside down the dirt sometimes falls on your head. It's nice just gettinf to try all the apparati. My personal favorite is silks because I bruise easily and I get less bruising from silks. The key to any aerial studio is instruction. Karen, Amy and Jordan have all been very helpful in teaching how to place the body with proper demonstration. I haven't tried any level 2 or higher courses yet but I feel that there needs to be more selection when it comes to beginners and blossoming novice students. I have talked to Karen the owner and she will be working on a new schedule so hopefully that will make the instruction more individualized since all the classes I've been to have been packed. The online check in is simple and there doesn't seem to be any penalty for late cancels that I know of since classes tend to be full anyway. Checking in to classes seems to hold up time so most classes start late which leaves me a little unmotivated to go early. Overall I love aerial arts--the activity--and this studio is great for facilitating my learning but there could be improvements on cleanliness, class timing and class size. read more

I have taken a few classes at Vertical Fix now. The first was awesome. Taylor was our instructor and she was so friendly and helpful. She taught "Aerial Yoga" which is great for beginners as it incorporates yoga and conditioning of aerial arts, with a few tricks involved. They then nearly discontinued the yoga class to only 1 class a week that doesn't work with our schedule. The second was the "Intro to Aerial Arts" taught by a lady with green hair (when the website said it would be taught by Taylor). She was not very helpful and had little to no personality. She acted like she didn't want to be there and that everything we did was wrong. This class is tough, especially if you are not too familiar with the Aerial arts, however a helpful instructor would have enhanced the experience. Everytime we tried to sign up for a class the website never works properly. And after our first class, Taylor offered us a free class with a chaotic morning, which the owner only partially upheld. Overall I'd be careful going to this studio, you don't know what you're going to get. UPDATE: I'd like to clarify a few points from the comment below. As of now, there is no scheduled Aerial Yoga online therefore there was no "free class" given or any opportunity to take one. And we agreed to pay because we already drove out to take the class. Were we happy about paying for our "free" class? No. However, I understand the cutback on the class and appreciate there is remodeling in the works to allow the class to happen. The website was never updated as we checked the instructor moments before entering, just to clarify we had Taylor's name correct. I'd like to mention we saw Taylor before the official class had begun. She told us we will love it and gave us a fond farewell upon leaving. Therefore, she was there the entire time. I understand if she didn't want to teach, but why show up if you had to call off? I do ask for an honest response and not an attempt to degrade the actual experience we had at your studio. read more

I am brand new to the world of aerials and very excited that Vertical Fix opened in such a convenient location. The class offerings are plentiful and varied, offering fitness, fundamentals and aerial arts classes, there's really something for everyone from the complete beginner to the seasoned acrobat. The instructors are very knowledgeable, experienced, encouraging and helpful. I never feel rushed or unimportant if I am having a hard time learning something. Their patience and willingness to help coupled with their enthusiasm for success makes every class experience a fun one. The facility is large and clean. While there are a lot of different apparatus, the layout is very well thought out so as to maximize the use of space without it feeling cramped, crowded or hectic. Safety is taken very seriously here as well. There are always large mats and instructors tirelessly spot each new student. This helps build my confidence in trying new things. Everyone, regardless of skill level, shape or size is encouraged, challenged, supported and applauded at Vertical Fix as they gain strength and learn fantastic new skills. read more

I love this place! They have great teachers that really push you outside your comfort zone in the best way possible. I had no idea I could do some of the stuff that I did. The studio is well lit, clean with everything properly rigged and there is even an area with a dance floor and mirrors. I love this studio! I have been an aerialist for the past 5 years. I have trained in at least 6 other studios and this one is my favorite by far. The instructors are knowledgeable, professional and encouraging. Holly is my go to for strength training, trapeze and silks. Karen is an amazing lyra instructor and choreographer. Lindsay, Monique and Tasha are amazing as well. The staff members are always upbeat and happy to see you. The other aerialists are friendly. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
