My experience with Arizona Differential by Nate was very bad--absolutely terrible. They repaired my differential for a 2020 Ram 1500, but they never told me that they had drained the oil. When I installed it, the ring gear and pinion were damaged. When I went to file a complaint, all they said was that they were sorry--that they could cover the labor costs, but I would have to pay for the parts myself. It was a mistake that could have easily been avoided simply by attaching a note stating that the repaired differential had not been filled with oil. read more

AVOID AT ALLLLL COSTS!!! SCAMMERS!!! Had my def rebuilt and within a month it was whining again. I took it back and they put the blame on me. Said they would upgrade my gearing and do labor for free. I said okay. Wanted it done with. 2 weeks later it's whining again and they said the gears are burnt up?? They will not honor warranty or give ANY refund. They made up lies and said I was hauling stuff with the truck over the weight capacity? I haven't towed ANYTHING at all. Complete BS. In and out of the shop twice in a month. $2,000 down the drain and my dif is messed up even after the second time. Currently driving to another dif shop to get this fixed. They would NOT honor their warranty and someone at their shop is not installing the difs correctly. RUN!!!! Complete scam artists. I think they are doing bandaid fixes and not replacing anything. They never called ,I followed up and got a employee who told me that he would call me and I'm not the only customer that they have. and when they get differential. they would call me. it has now been over 2 months nobody has reached out to me and the employee was very rude. I called them 2 weeks after and no one knew anything about a 2014 cadillac Cts on parts or looking into finding a differential. You should never tell a customer that they're not the only one that you need to wait Until somebody contact you. AZ Differential is a busy shop, so when looking into this shop, be mindful of this. Also there are manufacturers delays. The customer service was great, reliable, honest, and understanding. Took my multiple phone calls and went above and beyond for me. My jeep was sent to this shop after me buying it for a leaking differential and crack in the front axle housing. WARNING!!!! WARNING!!! WARNING!!! STAY AS FAR AS YOU CAN FROM THIS PLACE !!!!! Nate is the rudest shop owner I've ever dealt with. These people don't stand behind their work. Nate and his wife are super nice and Cool until your cars taken apart and you can't do anything but listen too their lies. I took in My Jeep JKU for a bent Differential and I asked him if he could fix it or I'd be willing too replace it. He said he could straiten it. They kept it three times as long as they said they would. Once I finally got it back I immediately noticed it was still not strait so I took it too get alignment and they confirmed it was not strait. And while it was on the lift I noticed they put in the track bar UPSIDE-DOWN !!!! The track bar would bang up against the differential when I hit speed bumps. So I took it back and talked too Nate, (Note I was polite in all my interactions with him regardless how he responded) I told him that it wasn't strait and told him about the track bar, he had excuses for everything. He said that the alignment shop I took it to didn't know what they were talking about (my wheels were visibly cambered). Then he stated that My track bar was worn out and that's why it was making noises. I asked him too please take a look and he dragged his feet too do so.. and the paint of the diff was scraped of where the track bar was hitting. And he said it was a simple mistake and too bring it back tomorrow and he would have it for me end of Day. Then took 3 Days too fix his mistake ! After I got it back again I took it to another alignment shop too be told again the diff was not strait. I came back too the shop once again too show him and he states that sometimes they straiten and sometimes they don't and that My diff was too bent and he did what he could. And I asked him what I was going to do now. Since I had already paid him too straiten it. (I asked if he could straiten it or I would be willing too replace it before doing anything But he assured me it would be strait). After going back and forth he agreed too replace the Diff casing and I just had to pay for parts witch I basically payed for installation considering how overpriced he sold me the diff casing. But I agreed. He again kept it for twice as long as he stated. I got it back and I drove down the street and THE BREAKS WERE LOCKING UP !! So I turned back and told him what was going on. He stated rudely/loudly that it probably had that problem when I brought it in and they didn't cause that!!! I left mad and drove it down the street luckily I knew a mechanic close by because it was basically un drivable. I forget what they installed wrong but my friend fixed it in about an Hour. I start driving home and when I would hit any small pot hole or rough road my suspension would make Metal clanking noise. At this point it was like 6pm so I decided too just take it back the next day. When I got home I started too install new shocks that I had purchased. When I got under My Jeep I found out that the noise was cause of 3 of my springs being completely out of place !!! I continued too install my shocks. Next day I take it back too show him and he greets Me Very rudely (he was not happy too see Me) I tell him about the springs. He starts yelling at me insulting me saying that I shouldn't install shocks if I don't know what I'm doing, that the shocks were obviously too large for my lift and that's why the shocks came out of place !!! I explained that they were out of place before I replaced them. (By the way when my friend worked on it he only jacked up one wheel, the only side the spring was not out of place) After going back and forth he agrees too put them in place just "too get me out of his shop" (his words). End of day next day he had it ready. On time for the FIRST TIME. When I picked it up Nate came too give Me My keys. I told him that before he goes back Into his shop I would like too inspect it. And notice 1 of the 3 springs they moved out of place was still out of place so I point it out too him. This completely triggers him and he starts going crazy yelling and cursing saying that My Jeep is a piece of $h!t and that he's not going to keep fixing things that I break on it and things that are wrong with it before I brought it in. This time I lost my Cool and completely went off on him as well and His wife heard us arguing and came out too kick me off the property threatening on calling the police! Needed a bent inner-c (inner knuckle) bent back on a Dana 44 out of a 2013 Rubicon. Nate came in $100 less than quote! Needed some bracketry/reinforcements that I will weld on myself. One set he had on the shelf, the other they plasma cut while I waited. Every employee I came across knew 100% what they were talking about. I was going to do the bending on my own, but I didn't want to buy the tool + I wanted an experienced guy like Nate to assess if there was other damage. He felt like I was good to go with their bending back of the knuckle. No hidden costs. Didn't try to stack me up. I'm getting started in this business. If I wasn't moving from AZ, I would be on him everyday for a job. Nate has probably forgotten more than I'll ever know lol. But this is how you run a business. Reposting since they deleted my review. These guys screwed me $800 so I will keep reposting this if needed so that people can see what this business does. I'm not the type of guy to leave a bad review but again, Nate ripped me off and I lost out on $800, so fair is fair. I paid these guys to do a differential build on my Camaro. First they built it wrong. I requested 3.91 ring gear and they installed 3.27. Had to bring it back. They got the 3.91 installed. I paid them to mill down the billet bearing caps and provided them with the instructions for proper measurements. I installed the diff in my car and it maybe lasted 500 miles. Long story short, they would not stand behind their work. Even though they told me all work was warrantied and they even gave me the warranty paper with break in procedure, they claimed I didn't get warranty AFTER failure because they never saw my car... this was never mentioned before until after their work failed on me. I told them if that was such the rules then this should've been told to me. I ended up taking the differential to Arizona driveshaft to have it done properly and of course, spending more of my hard earned money. After they tore it apart, it turned out that Arizona differential did not mill the bearing caps at all, even though they charged me extra for this! They also stacked multiple thin shims to set pinion depth and they cut shims to make them fit. The pictures speak for themselves. It must have been take your kid to work day when they built my differential. They don't stand behind their work. Do not give them your hard earned money. It's a major red flag that 50% of their Google reviews are 1 star and the others are 5 star. Definitely use Arizona driveshaft for your work. The differential has lasted thousands and thousands of miles and heavy abuse and zero issues. read more

I had them rebuild an old 1965 C10 truck axle by adding a posi, and changing the ring and piñon and axles. They did a great job for a fair price, and did it in the timeframe promised. They were very friendly and so I am surprised by some of the negative reviews. read more

Run, do not walk away from this place. They had my trailing arms in for rebuild for 4 months! (I was quoted 10-14 days when I dropped them off) I heard every excuse in the book... "Nate had to fire the guy that was working on them", "we cannot find castle nuts" (although when I looked they were available everywhere, even Amazon) "Your arms are delayed at the powder coater" (THIS one Jen used TWICE, a month apart (she should write down which lie she tells which customer I guess). Guess what? They never did anything but disassemble them - the whole shooting match was returned to me in parts and not powder-coated - what a surprise. Worst service ever! If they tell you 2 weeks dong believe them it will take them at least 2 months to give you your car back always lying about getting wrong parts and having to send them back. And they will never call you back when they say they will when your car is ready. I went in to get my diff repaired and the owner said it will be $1250 when i picked it up they told me $1850! I drove it for a day and it started making the same noise from when i took it in. The proof of the pudding is not how well you're treated when the repair is made initially. The real worth of a service provider is if there is some problem. I took my 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer to Arizona Differential around Dec. 7th. Jennifer offered to have it out in the day; however, I had alternate transportation. Two days after getting the SUV back I noticed grease spots on the driveway. On Dec. 14th I drove it to Arizona Differential. I called while on the way. Chris told me to, "Bring it in." When I get there, the shop foreman took it right back and in about thirty minutes came out with an explanation of a faulty seal. A short time after that he told me a new seal was in and they were cleaning up the undercarriage. I asked questions about the use of synthetic grease as recommended by GMC or petroleum based grease. The shop foreman gave me a very clear and logical explanation of the benefits of petroleum based grease. I've had major work done on vehicles just a few times over the past twenty years here in Phoenix. I don't recall ever being so well treated and the concern for the customer being displayed as it was by the staff at Arizona Differential. I normally don't involve myself with saying good, bad or indifferent about any business I patronize. Took it in for warranty work which they did fix.... However, 1- They had my vehicle for a week before working on it and admitted they "put it on the back burner" 2- Didn't call when they said they would 3- Rebuilt my front differential when in fact it appears it is an engine oil leak 4- Now I have a vibration in my drive line 5- Body damage happened while at their shop and they didn't fix it when they said they would 6- My skid plates somehow disappeared while in their possession Beware if using this shop! We'll see how long their warranty work holds up. They are that bad. read more

Wow. I have been combing to Nate for 20 years and now I have done 3 trucks and they are still running great. Ones was done over 15 years ago and diff and gears are still running great. I have replaces the the transmission and transfer case, and the front and rear diff are great I had 4:10 gears done and now I just did my new suburban with 4:56 gears and and all is great came in for my 1500 check. I don't yelp much unless something is really great. I was referred to this shop by a friend. I have a 2000 Grand Cherokee and while out on a hiking excursion I bent the front axle housing. It's a Dana 30 and I guess it is fairly common. Anyway Tim said take it to Nate at AZ Differential to have it straightened. At first I was skeptical but I gotta say it came out straighter than it was prior to the bend. The guys at the alignment shop that I go to were amazed. The following week I went back for a whine in my rear axle since I was so pleased. It has a Dana 44A. The "a" stands for aluminum housing and they are known to be noisy. Nate worked on it to no avail. Then put in a different set of gears and then even another. It still made noise albeit very minor. In the end he couldn't get it perfect and said it was partially do to the 4:10 gears I have as well as the lift I have on it. He returned the Jeep at no charge. I was shocked after all the efforts that he put into it that I didn't get a bill. He simply wasn't happy with the outcome so no charge. Wow! They just gained a customer for life. read more

As of 2 Dec 2019, AZ Differential has not satisfied a legal judgement as ruled by Maricopa County Justice Court, Phoenix AZ. Case # CC2018254320 SC. AZ Differential was unable to perform well defined work requirements accurately and per schedule. Technically inaccurate and misleading information given for excuse for poor workmanship. A judge in a court of law found AZ Differential guilty of inaccurate, poor workmanship. The owner of AZ Differential LLC used abusive language directed at me personally. Definition(s): requirements accurately means requirements were given in writing, text and drawing form, and on certain items pictorially. read more

beware, they lie to your face tell you what you want to here take you money and then you are on your own. had two issues in 4 weeks on two different vehicles and no help what so ever. they rebuilt both differentials on one vehicle and we followed there guidelines , then 2 months later in another state stuck with a $3000.00 dollar bill to fix there mistake and all they did was blame us. bottom line it was installer error. second vehicle almost lost a wheel 20 miles after being picked up. to many people working there and no quality control anymore. they used to be good. but now just a chip on there shoulders and easy to pass the blame. update, the better business bureau reviewed my complaint and ruled in my favor by there auto repair advisory committee, which is a panel of 10 shop owners and determined that we did everything that was asked. az diff still will not step up to the plate. no surprise apparently they have a hand full of complaints pending at the moment. read more

Well I'm sorry to hear all the bad reviews about AZ differential. I guess all the good reports go unreported. I have nothing but good to say about Nate and Jennifer. I called in about my Jeep and a noise the differential was making. Both Nate and Jennifer were professional and pretty much diagnosed my problem over the phone when I described what was going on. (yes, I called a few times) My differential was going out and making a whining noise, not to mention the silver fluid that was coming out of the differential oil plug. Unfortunately I wasn't paying attention of the time and brought it in a couple hours before closing time. Nate and Jennifer were very kind, and took time to go over what the problem likely was and what it would cost to fix but unfortunately couldn't finish it that day in that short of time frame. Which was understandable. The next day (A Friday), I couldn't get my Jeep in until around noon, but Nate personally had my Jeep brought in and put one of his guys on it. I hung out and spoke with them while it was being fixed and although they were extremely busy with customers and phone calls they had time to answer my questions. I was able to take a look at my old rear end and it was exactly as Nate had described what the probable cause was. They installed all brand new parts and even let me watch a little. I know some mechanics don't like that but I never got that feeling, in fact they sort of encouraged me when I asked and the shop was well taken care of. My differential was rebuilt that day. Also, they had pizza delivered for the workers for lunch and I was invited to lunch as well. It's a family atmosphere, but it's also very professional and the work was fast paced. I drove my jeep home, (about 32 miles) and it was like when I first bought her- if not better. She had more power and just smooth as all get out. I stopped driving my Jeep about a year ago because I could not really afford to figure out what was wrong with her. Nate diagnosed it for free and gave me a great price, extremely competitive. I am very grateful and will always do my business with them if I ever need them in the future. Nate is a good guy. I was not feeling well and in fact had come from the Dr's office on both days and was not doing well at all due to some injuries. I was a little slow and he was very patient and kind. Our auto shop paid $600 deposit for a Dana 44 differential. Nate said he'd have it done for us in 7-10 days. 2 weeks later we were told it was in sand blasting. For the next 2 weeks we were told daily that they "needed another day." After calling and telling them we had to have it back by the end of the day Monday 6/7/21 or we wanted our money back, we were told by Jennifer that it STILL needed to GO to sand blasting and they needed more time. At this point it has been over a month since we paid our deposit. We got the run around. We did get our deposit back, but now we have an angry customer who's been waiting on his truck for over a month and another couple weeks to get what we need through a different company. I read some reviews- good and very bad. I trusted my referrals. I know you can't please everyone in business. I bet some of these bad reviews were just negative people no matter or sometimes bad things happen. Not the norm I was honestly worried with some of the negative reviews. Please don't let these bad reviews scare you off. What I got out of treatment, service and quality of my experience was nothing less then top notch! They said what they meant. My bronco had a new front differential installed which went well so far. But I also brought it in to have the transfer case repaired. They charged me 1100 dollars to fix the issue. I got the vehicle all the way home, tested the 4x4 and it had the same issue. They came and picked it up and had for weeks without repairing the issue. I finally told them to convert the auto 4x4 transfer case to manual (after already spending 1100 on the original transfer case). After another number of weeks, they finally completed it in a shoddy manner. They also put a dent in the driver door to which I will won't be able to prove, but its there now. Every time I've been to this shop it's busy. It is a clean shop with 8 lifts and the sheer volume of customers shows they know what they are doing. Everyone wants to talk to Nate and its hard to get his attention. He always puts the customer first, although it can be a bit disorganized at times. If there is an issue, just talk to Nate. I had just moved back to Phoenix and was in dire need of a good shop that could work on a 1977 Corvette rear end. My differential was leaking months after I paid the last shop bank to repair. I found out about Az Differential when asking the the guys at Corvette Performance in Scottsdale if they knew of a reliable shop they would recommend. Nate gave me a very fair price to repair it. I had paid $3,200 just to have the gear ratio changed. Nate did a great job, and for half the money I spent before. All new seals, internal snap rings, all new U-joints (5), new rear wheel bearings, and shocks, parts cleaned and painted, plus labor for only$1,538.00. this was in August, 2010 and I haven't had any issues with it at all. drives smooth I've had nothing but trouble trying to find a restoration shop with knowledgeable mechanics, and it's very hard to find someone who you can trust to do the job correct the first time and not be over priced just because they call it a custom shop. . I have unfortunately had bad experiences with mechanics that lied to me about my vehicle's needs or exaggerated issues in an effort to scare me into paying them to do repairs, but I was referred to Arizona Differential by an acquaintance that assured me he trusted Nate 100%, and after dealing with Nate and Jennifer, I am in complete agreement. Nate took the time to inspect my car and, when it was clear that my car needed some specific repairs, Nate and Jennifer guided me to a trustworthy shop that was much cheaper than going to the dealership, which really makes the difference for people like me who do not have thousands to drop on repairs. Horrible shop!!! They took a MONTH to replace my transmission. Told me every time I called the truck would be "ready tomorrow" and then days would go by without any contact. On several occasions we were called in to pick up the truck only to wait hours to find out it still wasn't ready. They did lend us their shop truck after a while, and while we appreciated that, the F250 broke our gas budget. Bottom line, the people who run this company - Nate & Jennifer, are rude, condescending and either so completely unorganized they don't know what's going on in their own company OR absolute cheaters & liars. I'm not sure which of those two groups they'd like to be in, but I will never recommend Arizona Differential LLC (the one on Weldon, run by Nate) to anyone, ever.
